Unfortunately I have been to mystic all too many times. Especially recently, I had to purchase 3 funeral arrangements within the last year. Other family memeber went to other florists online and they were charging $75-$100 MORE than mystic for nothing even close to as beautiful. The most recent ones were for my cousin. I ordered them over the phone without seeing them. I told her I would like Irish colors and make it beautiful. She told me the price and assured me they would be beautiful. When I walked in the funeral home and saw them I was blown away! Absolutely gorgeous and for the small amount of money I was charged for what she made was pleasantly shocked! If you want a beautiful bouquet of flowers, please do not use this flower shop. I ordered flowers for delivered and they looked nothing like the original picture. I was never contacted about their arrival so the flowers sat for several hours in the apartment lobby on the floor. Like most people, I have have been working from home-- the shop could have called to say that they were delivered, but sadly never did. When contacting the shop about the horrible flower arrangment, the woman was rude and hung up several times. The excuse for the arrangement was that the shop only gets flowers in twice a week so that is why the flowers look they way they did. I am paying for a service not to listen to your excuses. I was not issued a refund nor was I given the option to get another arrangement. I am all for supporting local businesses, however, if you want to send flowers this holiday season, please do not waste your money on this shop. If I could, I would give zero stars for this review. I went in for a late valentines present and waited because there was gentleman in front of me. And before the guy in front me could finish a man came in from outside said he had a order the Asian lady stop mid sentence to address him while I was talking to her very rudely pivoted from me to him and started to help him instead. So I stood back to see if anyone saw this out of all the women in there no one except one came to help and when I asked about the sign posted she said we don't have anything on that list so I said ok let me have this bear in a bag and before I could look up the lady that was helping me went to join another woman to help the same dude that just came out of nowhere from earlier. The costumer service was trash no pleasantry's at all I walked in no one said hi or welcome or anything just looked at me. I will definitely not be going in there at all just didn't feel comfortable . I was prepared to spend around 300$ today and it seemed like, I wasn't appreciated to come in to my local florist. I have called numerous times on both of the provided phone numbers. Not one phone call back, this is absolutely horrible service!!!!! They delivered the wrong flowers to my mother, which were for someone's deceased father. As nobody answered my calls and nor did the delivery driver wait when we were hollering at him that this is the incorrect address. I self delivered those flowers to the correct address and asked them if they had my flowers, they did not have those because it wasn't delivered there either. It's absolutely unprofessional for you guys to treat customers in such a manner. I could've gone anywhere else for a plant for my mother but I chose you guys because I've heard such good things, but NEVER AGAIN WILL I CHOOSE YOU GUYS!!!! My Valentine's bouquet(s) from Mystic Florist made me happy for WEEKS. First, because I accidently received a second bouquet the day after V-Day, and second because literally, they did not start to wilt until March! If they didn't smell so deliciously flowery I would have thought they were fake. My BF admitted that he ordered them at 6am on 2/14--which makes me even more impressed that they were able to get them to me same day, all the way to Longwood Medical Area from Somerville. I get a little sad sometimes having fresh flowers, because they usually die before I'm ready to throw them out and seem like a big waste of money. But my rose-lily-pom-daisy bouquets held up so long (with a change of water and a little plant food every few days) that I was actually starting to get used to looking at them every day. read more

Wow! My husband gets me flowers delivered (Roses normally) for our anniversary and is always trying a new place because delivery is hard to do well from a quality and end condition standpoint. The roses I just received were in immaculate condition and presentation. Excellent service and quality! I placed a ordered for flowers for my mom for her birthday a day prior bc its a tough day for her because her mom / my grandma passed away on her birthday, I called my mom the next day in the evening to see how she liked her flowers she went outside at 9pm to see if they were outside to find out there wasn't anything there , I called the flower shop the next day to find out what happened and she stated they were delivered and sent me a photo. But when I called and spoke to my mom right after that morning she stated when she went outside at 8am ( a day after her bday ) the flowers were left outside in the rain no one notified her or rung her bell to let her know the flowers were outside, so the flowers were delivered on the wrong day and left in the rain smh. Really ruined a very emotional day for my mom who was already having a difficult birthday. A Suggestion maybe you need a reliable delivery person to deliver flowers in a appropriate manner. read more

I had the very best possible experience with Mystic Flowers. I am not from Boston, and was referred here for my wedding through a friend. I was a little apprehensive about ordering my bouquet when they didnt have any of the actual flowers in the store that I had requested. Plus, I kept saying I wanted raspberry and fuchsia colored peonies, and she kept saying hot pink. I was worried, but I didnt know where else to go. On top of all this, 1 week before the wedding, I made a surprise visit to 'change my mind' (its a brides prerogative to do so), and the ladies were perfectly fine with it. The night before the wedding, I was running extremely late, and figured I would have to pick up the flowers in the morning, but drove by the florist JUST IN CASE. It was 10:30 at night and the florist was still there working away for the next day. She was perfectly fine with me showing up late to hand over my bouquet. And the bridal bouquet, GORGEOUS!! By far, it was my favorite piece of my wedding. Everything else, I would have changed, but the bouquet was far better than I could have ever expected. I LOVED it!! Ordered a teleflora bouquet that comes with a vase. It was so pretty in the on-line photo. White and yellow daisies in a yellow vase with a yellow and white checked bow. Nothing fancy or expensive but cheery and bright, just what I wanted for a very ill family member. I got there and it was ready the flowers were pretty but a green vase and a ribbon that looked strange( when the light hit it it was almost an iridescent lilac) . The colors of the flowers just didn't look the same with a pale green vase and never mind the ribbon. I paid for them and left. I didn't want to argue with anyone. Went to Michael's bought a ribbon and a yellow vase. I was just too embarrassed to bring the other. So of course I will never go there again, too bad, I love local and used this shop many times in the past but it's just not the same anymore, even inside doesn't look the same as a few years back. I live in the Midwest and my daughter-in-law lives in Massachusetts. I ordered flowers from Mystic Florist having no idea if they would do a good job. I ordered a flower cake pictured on their website, and when I asked if the colors could be switched up a bit, they were very willing to accommodate, even with their floral supplies being limited by the pandemic. On top of that, I gave them the wrong date to deliver! When I realized my mistake, they had 1 1/2 hours to get it to her at her workplace before she left - and they rocked it! This review is for Nancy who helped me as I was looking for fresh florals to put on an engagement cake I made for a friend. It was last minute and I was on a budget. I never worked with fresh florals on a cake so I was seeking advice and price.. I asked about orchids and the older woman who originally helped me steered me away saying it wasn't the best and that peonies were the best bang for the buck given it was a small cake (6" round) and I really only needed 3 ($7/each). Don't get me wrong, I love peonies but for some reason I wasn't too sure it was the right choice for the cake.. the older woman took a call and as I went to look around the store, a woman named Nancy came and suggested the orchids. She told me the price for both sizes of small and large. She even went in back to bring me samples to see different color options. It worked within my price range ($3.50/each) and she even suggested one would be enough since it came with multiple orchids that I could place around the cake. I love that she must've overheard my conversation with the other woman and was able to meet my needs. I also felt she didn't try to up-sell me and was really trying to work within my requests. They did not even attempt to deliver the flowers until six o'clock at night, when the business was closed. Yes I got a refund, however it was a huge hassle and by that time Valentine's day had been ruined. I have driven past Mystic Florist many times and had never been there before, but like to try to support local business whenever possible. I went there to buy a bouquet for a friend and was told they were too busy to put one together. I know it's Valentine's Day weekend, but that's when people want to buy flowers, right? There was a store full of flowers, at least three staff and only one other customer in there. I'm not really sure how they expect to sell the flowers in there if they're unable to spare 2 minutes to put together a simple arrangement. After an FTD Valentine's fiasco last year my fiance decided to go to our local flower shop in person for delivery to my office and they were more than happy to deliver to Watertown. He specifically ordered them to be delivered Monday so that I could enjoy them all week. They are the most beautiful flowers and I have gotten so many comments all week. My whole area smells like a conservatory and you can smell them from the hall. They also still look like they just came today. He's gotten many bouquets there before as well and we've been very happy. They even had a wonderful amaryllis when we needed a hostess gift around Christmas time. Highly recommended! read more

On the recommendation of a friend, I recently used Mystic Florist for the flowers for my Mother's wake and funeral. I am VERY fussy and particular about exactly what I wanted and also didn't want them prepared too far in advance as the services were on a Sunday afternoon. The designer assured me that she would come in special on Sunday morning to make the arrangements and deliver them at noon. I'm thrilled to say they were simply gorgeous, exactly how I wanted them, and completely fresh. Many, many people commented on how beautiful they were and asked who made them for us. After the services we donated them to a company that makes up smaller arrangements and delivers them to lonely people at local nursing homes. My Mom would have been so glad to know that they brightened up someone else's day and I'm sure they lasted for at least another week. My husband is away for our first anniversary and made sure I would be home all day today for a "delivery". Flowers were supposed to be here in the morning, and they didn't arrive until after 4pm. He made sure to say no orchids as I am extremely allergic. The arrangement is full of HUGE blooming star gazer lilies (one of the most allergenic flowers). It's pretty much stargazer lilies and greens. The flowers made me sad and I put them in the basement due to the allergies and they looked a bit funeralish in my opinion. (In 7 years of being together it is only the second time he's gotten me flowers because I usually say "don't bother" so I know he spent ALOT of money on this bouquet.) In fairness, I don't know exactly what my husband asked for. He wanted to try to duplicate our wedding day flowers (though there were no orchids of course).
