Enjoyed a recent tour of the vampire diaries. I would recommend making reservations in advance as they book up quick. They have you meet at the welcome center. Which was really cool to see the memorabilia from various shows that were filmed in the town. They have a tram type bus that fit four to a row. (Really tight seating and probably my least favorite of the tour was the seating.). The tour guides are very knowledgeable and had personal experience with watching the filming and/or being extra's. They stop at three different spots and even stop at one home where the owners came out to talk with us. Pretty neat! read more

cancelled our tour the day of with no notice for "icy conditions" it's 42 degrees out and sunny by the way. refusing to give us a refund until tomorrow when we so happen will be out of town. very unprofessional don't book unless you want to risk wasting over 100$ literally told us to not try and call them to discuss this sudden change. read more

We only checked out the museum. We didn't do the tour. But the museum had a lot of different show props. The only thing I wish that was different would be to have more variation than just Vampire Diaries and spin offs. I know Mystic Falls brings in a lot of profit. But to have Dukes of Hazard and In the Heat of the Night filmed here and barely hit on it,.. just seems wrong. read more

Big fan of Vampire Diaries!! Went on the tour today with my daughter, and our tour guide, Amber was quite good. Visited many of the characters homes and drove by others. Stopping at the park and visiting the on-site location was very beautiful. Got to meet the actual owners of the Lockwood mansion, very nice gentlemen.! The little tour buses /large golf carts was a good way to get around the little town and not be too obstructive to the residence, which I actually appreciated on their behalf. However, it was way too snug on the carts, and really should consider sitting three people per row instead of four. I understand that in order to get a bit extra room you can buy two seats, but that honestly is not fair. The price of the tickets are already high enough considering what you're getting from the tour. The shop at the end of the tour was pretty awful. We walked in and basically walked right out. The merchandise is substandard to say the least. ... I really do think the gift shop has great potential if they actually strove to acquire better made products. Did the tour last week with friends and mystic falls is a beautiful town! Enjoyed getting to see the spots on the tour and hear the tour guides stories but I don't think this tour is worth $60. We saw several people doing their own tour and really the guide is sharing behind the scene details from their experiences but as far as seeings the spots you could do on your own. read more

WORST PLACE EVER. The owner does not care about her consumers and only about herself and money. I purchased a sweater for my daughter, who is a huge fan of TVD, and we realized once we got home that it was too small. My daughter did not even put the sweater on. Anyways, I called the store the following morning and Jessica, the owner, answered the phone. Jessica rudely alluded to a no return policy, did not let us speak, and hung up on us. Afterwords we decided to stop by personally and try to resolve the dispute amicably. Instead, Jessica pointed at a hidden no return sign and offered us a $20giftcard to buy ANOTHER $50 sweater instead of just swapping out the sweater no one wore. Clearly a ploy to make an extra buck off of us... I'm extremely disappointed in this shop and this woman. My daughter is a huge fan of the series and this ruined our trip. B read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I drove 50 mins to come here and as my friend was paying for the tour, I went to the restroom and on my way back I overheard the owner and her employee were talking. I'm still so shocked and sad writing this, they said and I quote " there weren't any n***** vampires " and they laughed. I grabbed my friend and we left. Absolutely love TVD I found out about this tour and made a family trip down here. It didn't let me down at all. My daughter was 1 and she started getting fussy one the the ladies gave her a sucker then the man that owns the Lockwood Mansion gave her some pretzels. At the time of our purchase they did not give a receipt and we were not told items were final sale. Even with COVID, businesses are issuing refunds. The owner Jessica Lowery was a disgrace to all owners. She was screaming at me and my family that she cannot take the sweater back. She claims to have signs that indicate no returns or exchanges that were not there yesterday. The sign was under the payment terminal and the only other sign was hidden behind clothing. The situation could have been handled very differently and as an owner I was completely shocked with the disrespect. Her staff don't fall far from the tree. Don't bother spending a dime there. This tour was absolutely fantastic. Was worried since we drove 7 hours from Kentucky that it wouldn't be worth it, so wrong! This tour was everything I could have hoped for. Tour guides were amazing along with the fun facts and scenery. Didn't even mind that it was 40 degrees outside because the tour guides kept it so interesting. If you're between driving the distance or going versus not-definitely go. Coolest thing ever to see real life buildings and houses that were on the show. The only reason she's getting one star is because she said she'd refund my money. We traveled from IL for the sole purpose of going on these tours. It was a birthday gift for my sister. Georgia had unseasonably cold weather & a sprinkling of snow. She canceled both our tours, even though temps were in the 40s & 50s & the roads were completely dry & clear. She tried to get us to come do them after we'd have left or take store credit. But she didn't open the store! Every business on the square was open but her! We were told by another business that she cancels tours & canceled on a couple who came from Austria. Unbelievable. Do not waste your money on this place. Go to tShe should sell the business to someone who actually wants to work. Jessica, you are a liar. I did not receive any communication from you prior regarding the weather. The only communication I received was when you canceled. I was never at your store as you did not open & I never spoke with your employee. My god, the lies are just pouring from your mouth! Unbelievable! You offered to do the tour AFTER we were scheduled to leave! Unless you were willing to pay for us to stay an extra night, how is that possible? Use some sense for crying out loud! My friends and I drove all the way from Florida to Covington. Before the tour, we scouted some of the houses. During the tour all we did was pay the tour guide to take us back to the same places. We are in Atlanta for a wedding ( we are a wedding photographers ) and we had a few extra days so me and my husband wanted something to do. As a huge fan of the show, I thought it would be fun to do. Even though we live in L.A and have both been on multiple movie sets and sound stages and worked at Universal Studios.. it is different seeing on location sets and possible filming, plus hearing historical info about the homes and seeing some amazing photographic areas we will be sure to come back to in the future. Jessica wasn't on the tour that day, but we had Angie and she was great. Our group was only 6 people ( thankfully) so it was intimate and small and everyone listened and followed instructions. We learned lots of interesting tidbits and got to tour some of the most prominent locations on the show in Mystic Falls. It was great to see all the angles and how they use different perspectives to get the shots. As photographers that interested us a great deal. After the tour of Mystic Falls and the houses like Lockwood Mansions ( which pretty epic) we stayed and walked around some more and even ate at the Mystic Grill.. which wasn't a replica per say, but it was cool and the food was great! After that we headed to see the Originals location and lo and behold they were set dressing for filming the next day. We walked around and got some photos of the area, and came back the next day and was able to watch Phoebe Tonkin filming and then Joseph Morgan. It was pretty awesome! I highly recommend the tour if your a fan, my husband knows the show but isn't an avid watcher and he even enjoyed the tour. read more

We took the vampire stalker tour with Jessica and Angie. Both are extremely knowledgable about the tv show and its filming territory, actors, and interesting details. The highlights of the tour were the famous cemetery and through tour of the exterior of Lockwood Mansion. The fan store was on the tour to show the autograph wall, we were not encouraged to buy souvenirs like others stated. It was a well run business and you can tell they've been doing it a long time and know the protocol. They are very respectful to the local businesses as we tour through. It's such a pleasant town and the people were all so nice. I enjoy going through the episodes now and recognizing the places on screen now that we just toured. It was worth the $55 because it's so well run. Safety first and we were pleased to meet with the owners of "Lockwood" as well. read more

Just got back from watching the premier of season 8, it was wonderful! I had so much fun watching the show on the big screen. Was a little upset that we had to change locations due to the high wind, which I do understand. But I got there at 12pm today, to get great seats to watch the premier. RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!! I came all the way from Miami to come to this tour. I've been a huge fan of the vampire diaries since the show first came out so you can imagine my excitement coming to this tour. I came to the gift shop and bought a $50 sweater and since I couldn't try it on at the store I tried it on at home and realized it didn't fit me. I drove 2 hours to return it and exchange it for a bigger size and the owner Jessica was extremely unprofessional I was in complete disbelief. She claimed she had signs at the front and when she showed us where the sign was she literally had to move stuff out of the way to find it. She didn't even give us a receipt the day she charged me for the $50 sweater. Jessica was the owner and she was extremely unprofessional , she ruined my entire experience. All these people care about is money money and money. I'm so disappointed, I highly recommend going to another store. Don't spend your money here. BUYER BEWARE!! The people who run this tour are some of the rudest people I have ever met. My friend and I flew from Nj for this tour and it got cancelled bc of the rain which when they decided to cancel it had stopped raining. We explained to them that we came a long way for this and they did not care at all and were not willing to help us or provide us with any information so we could show ourselves anything. They gave us so much attitude for absolutely no reason. When we tried to get a refund they told us they would give us a credit to do a tour again and that wouldn't be a problem if they had more tours before our flight left but they didn't so we explained that to them and she said we could fly back another time which wasn't an option for us, she then proceeded to tell us if we can't change our current flight or get a new just to give her a call then she would give us a refund once we were back in nj, we told her no and got cash back. After that we looked around the store and we heard her tell someone else they only gave cash refund so how were they going to give us a refund once we got back to nj? Thankfully we found a better and cheaper tour the same day! If you are looking for a tour I recommend checking out some other tours not with this company! read more

My mother and I took a trip out of state to the Atlanta area for her birthday/girl's weekend. She is a fan of TVD so I surprised her by booking a tour with the Vampire Stalkers. Not having seen the show myself I was a little worried that I might get bored during the tour - but that was not the case. Jessica and Angie were extremely informative and fun. It was somewhat cold but they stayed energetic and did a great job of keeping up with the group. They were very specific about which scenes/parts of the show were associated with the sites we saw. They gave plenty of recommendations for places to eat after the tour which was much appreciated being in an unknown area. You can tell the girls enjoy what they do and they love the fans of that come to visit as much as they do the show! Definitely recommend. read more

Don't be fooled as there are other tours of the area being offered, but the "Vampire Stalker" tour with Jessica is the one you want to get exclusive access and all your questions answered. I've visited this picturesque little town twice now to take tours with the "Vampire Stalkers". The first time was about 2 years ago and Jessica gave us the Vampire Diaries tour. We didn't meet any actors, though we did meet a guest producer/director (Jeffery Hunt) he was doing some location scouting. At that time Jessica was very talkative and so informative plus all the stuff we saw on the trip was just so cool and exciting. When I booked the trip to come back this year I booked both the Vampire Diaries tour and the Originals tour. The tours have obviously been a huge hit and very profitable as the whole process seems more professional than before BUT if I hadn't met Jessica previously I'd be seriously confused as to why anyone has anything nice to say about her. She didn't give the tour but was at her new store (which the tour conveniently stops at) trying to sell her overpriced souvenirs. While in this shop she didn't greet anyone except her friend who was actually giving the tour and then YELLED at everyone on the tour to hurry up and bring any purchases up quickly so that we could move on. The person who gave both tours was a woman named Angie and she was wonderful. I actually loved the tours themselves and found out lots of cool things about the filming of both shows and great insider details. The only reason this review got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the Jessica's crappy attitude. It seems she's gotten "too big for her britches" as we say in the south. read more

This tour is ALL TALK. Literally! Angie doesn't stop talking. $55 a person to sit on the courthouse steps and listen to Angie talk, for an hour! What exactly does the cost cover? Two adults, 3 children and we paid $55 a person to listen to her go on and on with very uninteresting facts. Then, we drove to a cemetery where she said to leave the cars running, which everyone did and she went on for 15 minutes while everyone exited their running cars. Also, Angie begged the group to leave their TV's on if you DVR the show because ratings only register if running live on TV. What!!?!?! Way to screw the earth for the sake of ratings! Of course they want the ratings because if the show goes off the air, this scam ceases. The sights are available to anyone, on their own, without the guided tour. All publicly available. We weren't allowed in the houses, courthouse, restaurant or any of the sites on the tour. To end the horrible experience, Angie threatened to double charge our credit cards if we didn't give a 5 start rating. Seriously, a colossal waste of time AND MONEY! read more

I drove from PA to take the VD tour.It was fun going to different locations that filming took place. We didn't really go too far which was a little disaapointing. I think the price is a little high when we are driving our own cars. Angie and Jessica were great. They gave us plenty of time for pictures and even helped with them. No pressure to buy anything in the store which was nice. It was great to learn about town and hear inside stories that you wouldn't know otherwise. I fell in love with Covington and hope to move there soon!! I will also come back again for the season finale in the square and do the originals tour. read more
