I am an artsy fartsy millennial, and I thought this would be a cool memory to make with my young daughter. The shop itself is neat, but the staff were extremely rude to my daughter and I the moment we walked in the door. My little girl is young, I get it--she is 4 years old, but I was closely supervising her. We did our best to follow the directions at the front of the store, but felt like the gentleman working there really didn't want us there at all. He hovered over us, then seemed to get frustrated when we didn't understand that the wire and such was on a different wall and not something we received at checkout. He sat us down and gave us brief instructions. Okay, no problem. It's beads on a wire, fairly self explanatory. I start helping my daughter, who wasn't too keen on my directions, but she is getting beads on her bracelet all the same, so I let it go. Making a wonky bracelet is part of the experience, after all. I make mine, then once we both have something, we go to the register to try and get help finishing up and cashing out. A lady gets up who I thought was a customer. She turns out to be staff as well. She gets all huffy about my girl's bracelet, saying it's too big and indiscriminately removing beads as she sees fit since my (once again, four year old) daughter isn't able to provide quick, meaningful feedback on which beads she likes best. The necklace I made needed a bit more length, so I hurriedly tried to add some of our leftover beads to it as the woman tried to rush us out. I wanted my stuff symmetrical, and she was just bulldozering over me, trying to take stuff out of my hands before I barked, "No. I want it like this." I made some passing comment about, "I thought this would be cute, but it's surprisingly not very kid friendly." She sternly replied, "Yeah, everything here is glass." She finished up my necklace. We took it to the register. I put all of our loose, unused beads in the basket, since the gentleman told us they would be put back if they were unused. He wound up charging us for all the loose beads and untouched bead strands, and I didn't realize until after we left. It was definitely insult to injury, but I think I'd rather keep the beads than deal with them in person again. The prices weren't high enough for me to argue over anyway. This seems like a fun activity if you are a group of adults, but they have absolutely no patience for kids at all. The fact that they advertise kids birthday parties boggles my mind.

This resulted in us having to then put many beads back, and continuously adjusting the specific bead counts as we went. Although I understand they do not have public restrooms, as paying customers I would have expected them to let my child use their restroom. They did not, and could not tell me where the closest one was for us to run to. Although this is a very neat store, their customer service was very disappointing. I would not go back.

Even though small, they have quite a variety of collectibles. Including comics, games, action figures, records, etc. A nice mix of comics from 60s and up. A couple of old issues that I either have or have had in the past. It was a pleasant experience and nice chat about all things collectible.
