We have been bringing our son to East Lake Pediatrics consistently since the day after he was born…read more He's two years old now and not always in control of his emotions. Sometimes it escalates into breath holding. After a recent breath holding experience, we decided to inform his doctors so they could establish a record of it. Unfortunately, due to miscommunication between the triage nurses and doctors, it led to a very bad experience that put our family through a lot of heartache. Instead of clearly communicating to us that we needed to bring our son in for evaluation, they called Child Protection Services! Unfortunately, once you've been reported, you have to go through with a whole investigation. We had to have our son evaluated by the CPS medical staff, who agreed with our assessment of breath holding, but wanted to differ treatment to his regular doctor, and so we scheduled a follow up examination with East Lake Pediatrics. We met with Dr. Trudi Rash who was completely rude and unprofessional. She came into the room and introduced herself like she was a stranger who never met us before! She confirmed that she did receive the message about breath holding and that she was the one that directed the call to CPS be made.  We questioned why she wouldn't have called us first, or why the practice would not have reached out to us, prior to taking such a drastic step.  We have been going to this practice for two years and have a clear record of bringing our son into the office when needed and following the doctor's recommendations. Instead, Dr. Trudi continued insisting that they did contact us and that the medical note confirmed their version of events (she was unable to find the note, and it was omitted from the medical records when we later requested them). After examination, Trudi agreed that it was indeed a breath holding spell and our son did not need to seek further medical treatment. We have since received clearance from a neurologist, who also confirmed that our son has breath holding episodes. According to the neurologist, there is nothing to be done at this time and he said that we demonstrated the knowledge and ability to handle these episodes. We are appalled at how this was handled. We are NOT neglectful parents! We would certainly have brought him in. The practice took no ownership of the miscommunication, took no responsibility for casting aspersions on our parenting, and felt no remorse for failure to acknowledge the impact on our lives. Dr. Trudi was clueless about a patient she'd been seeing for two years, was defensive about how they handled it, rude and unprofessional, and uncaring about what we'd been through. In addition to the frustration, humiliation, and time off work for CPS meetings/appointments and medical evaluations, my wife, who is a teacher, was unable to return to work until CPS satisfactorily closed the investigation because her school understandably has a strict policy regarding employees undergoing CPS investigation. Our family has left this practice for another one where we receive more individualized care from a doctor who is more communicative and personable with their patients.

They once left me in a room with no toys for 1.5 hr waiting with my 2 years old to be seen. And they had no empathy for us. All they did was talk down to me, because my son did not want to stay in the room any more. After that I decided to change to a more personalized practice and when I did I found out that Eat Lake Pediatrics had put one of the only two shut I had my son done there in the wrong timing. So my new pediatrician told me it would not count and I have to vaccinate him again. That is unacceptable mistake. They only had to make sure there were 4 months in between shots but they didn't. To make matters worst they said their financial department was going to call me to give me back the money of the vaccine but they never called. No surprise there

Brought my baby here for blood work and I was happy with the service…read more When my allergist scheduled for my baby to have blood work done the nurse mentioned to me that I should find out if my insurance covers All Children. She said when a baby is this young (he was four months at the time) I would want to go somewhere that specializes in drawing his blood instead of a normal lab like Quest or Labcorp. I'm so thankful she mentioned this. I found out that my insurance does cover All Children and this outpatient facility is closer to me than DTSP. When I called to schedule the appointment they were able to fit me in a couple days later. They even made sure I knew which entrance to go to (which I am so glad because it turns out there are a couple different entrances and a couple different buildings.) Parking was a breeze, there is a huge lot. They definitely do specialize in babies because there were four babies in the waiting room while we were there! Check in was a breeze. The one mishap was my allergist didn't sign the second sheet of the allergy testing so they needed that faxed over to perform all the tests! This was definitely the fault of my allergist. I called the allergy office and they said they would fax it over. The lovely nurses at All Children said they would take us to get the blood drawn anyways because the first sheet was signed and they would just harass the office if they didn't get the second sheet faxed over (luckily the fax came in while they were drawing the blood.) I really appreciate that they did that instead of making us wait in the waiting room with a rambunctious four month old. The actual blood draw was brutal, but that's because I'm a mom seeing my son in pain. They had three nurses there helping. The blood wasn't flowing fast enough from the vein in one of his arms so they had to switch arms. They also burrito'd him to help hold him down. They were as quick and efficient as they could be which I appreciated. Our appointment was at 1 p.m. and we were out of there by 2 p.m. It seemed to go by pretty quickly so I don't know where all that time went. If you have a young child, I would definitely recommend coming to an All Children location.

My daughter had a tremendous fear of going to the doctor due to a few surgeries growing up and Dr. Razman was extremely friendly and made her feel comfortable. In 2020, I had my 2nd child and started seeing Dr. Black. Unfortunately since he was born I feel like he's been at the doctors office at least twice a month due to wellness and sick visits. Dr. Black was extremely thorough, answered all my questions and she was so understanding these past few years. Always keeping us up to date on what they had been seeing etc in the office related to Covid and all the other virus's trending upward. At the same time my teenager started having extreme anxiety so Dr. Razman referred us to see Dr. Weber for further evaluation. Dr. Weber was so easily for her to talk to about her anxiety and trying to root cause why she has it. She knew just the right questions to ask and after the first appointment my daughter felt a lot more at ease. Like others have said in past reviews, you do have to call early in the morning to get a same day sick visit appointment but in my experience most doctors are like this. They are open on Saturday's which for us is a blessing since it's hard to get off work during the week especially when you are worried about your kids. If you are looking for a pediatric ls office I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Black, Dr. Razman or Dr. Weber.

Dr Lisa Cronin practices medicine at the North Pinellas Children's Medical Center of Westchase in Suite 305 on 3rd Floor, which is located off Race Track Road near Countryway in the Westchase District of West Tampa. Dr Cronin's office is super convenient because it is open 7 days a week, 362 days a year, including early morning and late evening hours, as well as weekend hours. Dr Cronin offers same day "sick" appointments and has flexible scheduling for well-child checks, sports physicals, and preop physicals which is great. Dr Cronin is highly experienced in handling general pediatric issues including, but not limited to, asthma , ADD/HD , allergies, and common childhood infections, and she welcomes special needs patients to her practice. Dr Cronin's staff can fill out your school forms, sport forms, immunization records, at no extra charge. Dr Cronin's patients may contact her offices 24 hours a day to ask questions of her experienced nurses, and there is always a physician on-call from her group. Dr Lisa Cronin is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. Dr Cronin is pretty prompt for appointments. We never have to wait over 10 minutes to get called in from the waiting room, or have to wait over 10 minutes to see her once we are in the office. Dr Cronin does a great job of not over-booking her appointments or running over on time from previous appointments. Dr Cronin's staff is also friendly and professional. Dr Cronin's staff does a great job answering the phones, answering questions, and scheduling appointments. Dr Cronin even has buffer time for same day and next day appointments if kids are sick which is great! Dr Cronin's offices are conveniently located close to home in Westchase. If you're in the Westchase Area and have kids, I highly recommend visiting Dr Cronins office and North Pinellas Childrens Medical Center of Westchase!

The doctor visits have been pretty good, but man dealing with the office can be a headache! This will not be a short review because both the good and bad are worth noting. PROS - It's daunting when you're pregnant and looking for a pediatrician. I definitely wanted one close by since I knew with this being my first child I would be living at this office. I had a neighbor that already went here, specifically to see Dr. Cronin. She said she liked that Dr. Cronin is on the younger side so she knows all the newer research. I took her recommendation and Dr. Cronin became our pediatrician. The main reasons I like Dr. Cronin are she is research based, easy to schedule with, and had terrible sleepers. Whenever she makes a suggestion it is always backed by research. I really appreciate that because I always want to know what do the facts show. Since she is relatively new to the practice she is still building her patient list. This makes it incredibly easy to get a same day or next day appointment with her (you better believe once we met our deductible I was meeting with her on an almost weekly basis.) But seriously, when you have a sick baby you want an appointment now! Finally, her own two daughters were terrible sleepers. My baby was not an angel baby. There were weeks where he decided to wake up every hour. I always felt like Dr. Cronin was empathetic and she had her own stories to share. Same with cars, he hated the car and one of her own daughters hated the car. Sometimes when you are sleep deprived and on the verge of hysteria you need a doctor that can commiserate with you. I needed to see that she is still alive and her kids are thriving to know that me and mine would live through this. Parking is a breeze. CONS - There was one time where Dr. Cronin was running an hour late (this is not an exaggeration.) I say this just to recommend that you call before your appointment to make sure they are on time. This never happened again, but that one time did scar me a little from just showing up for my scheduled appointment. The major con of this office is they don't seem to take good notes so it takes many phone calls, which are voice messages to the nurses lines and a hope and a prayer that you are by your phone when they call back. My son had a fever so we scheduled to see Dr. Cronin. We saw her at 9:50 a.m. and he was diagnosed with an ear infection. She said she would go put in his prescription right away. A couple hours later and I still hadn't heard from the pharmacy. When I called the pharmacy they said they never got it. I called back the doctor's office and they said Dr. Cronin never put in for it and they needed to get her signature to be able to prescribe the antibiotics. To make this short, fast forward six hours and four calls later and I was getting nervous because the office was about to close and I still didn't have the antibiotics. At this point my son could have had his first dose long ago and he was very fussy. I called for the second time the appointment's line so I could talk to someone and I asked is the issue seriously that all they need is a signature from Dr. Cronin. She confirmed and said it had just been a busy day. I was prepared to go back to the office and get the signature myself! They promised me they would get me the prescription by the end of the night. In the end they called it in at 5 p.m. and I got it at 5:30 p.m. The second major issue was my daycare requested a doctor's note that said my son wasn't contagious. I didn't know he needed this till after I left so when I was calling I asked about the note too. They confirmed they could fax it over and said they found the number online. At 5:15 p.m. when I was driving to the pharmacy, I got a call from another nurse saying they could fax over the note but needed a fax number. I didn't have it since they said they found it so I said I'd call back the next day and give it to them. Next day I called back, left a message with it asking to be called back when it was sent, and never heard back. That evening I sent a message via the patient portal and requested to know if the note was sent. The next day I got a call that their fax machine was broken and I'd have to come pick it up. When I got to the office later that day to pick it up, they told me the fax machine was fixed. Why they didn't call me to tell me they could just fax it now, I don't know, but at this point I was over all the interactions. So, after an incredibly frustrating couple of days I decided it isn't worth going to this office when their communication skills with each other is all over the place. I'm hoping I'm an outlier and this doesn't happen to anyone else, because I have friends that go here and love it, but it's either switch doctor's or burn down the building and I rather stay out of jail.

We are pleased with the decision made. It's located in a very centric place, it's office is very spacious, organized and very well layout. A few months ago they became part of a corporation and now have a call center that is so terrible, it has made me find a new pediatrician. You can't even call the front desk to talk to anyone, even if it's a quick question. Each call will take a minimum of 10 minutes as you need to go verify insurance, phone number, address, etc. each call. Oh and you have more than one kid? You still have to verify for each child in the same phone call. The straw that broke the camel's back was recently we tried to speak to the doctor about a small issue my newborn was having. It was after hours (around 530pm) and in the past, we left a message with the doctor and would get a call back. They now have a "medical advice" line that you are transferred to. I was on hold for the few few minutes when the lady answered to ask me hold again. I was then on hold for another 15-20 minutes. After that, we had to verify our insurance, phone number, address, etc. yet again (even through we just saw them a few days ago). After another 20 minutes, our medical advice was "you should see a doctor, we can schedule a tele-visit now for you." I thought this whole time, the lady was going to give me medical advice. Then, she tells me the tele-visit will be a "fee." I asked her if it would be a copay, she proceeds to tell me "no, it's a fee." When I ask what that fee is, she tells me she can't tell me, it's up to what the insurance pays. I read another person in the reviews got a $150 "fee." Another time I called because I forgot the dermatologist recommendation list the Doctor gave me. The call center wouldn't transfer me to the actual office and wouldn't provide the recommendation list for me either. I would have to physically go back in the office for it (the call center also wouldn't call them so it was ready for me). This place is literally a joke now; it's absolutely terrible. The doctors and staff are great but it's not worth the hassle. When I complained to the staff at the office, they all said "everyone is complaining about it, unfortunately there's nothing we can do" so clearly I am not the only one having this issue. Save yourself the headache and find a different pediatrician.

When we moved to Westchase we were happy to see that there was an office 2 minutes away from home. I'll say this with a disclaimer...my family doesn't get sick often. I'm a stickler about not wearing shoes in the home (which only brings in germs), we don't have pets to bring in germs, I make everyone wash hands before they get those grubby things on anything, we don't take any medicine if we can help it, we buy mostly organic and non-gmo and we take plenty of vitamins. HubbyStanks and I also work from home, so we are not stuck in an office with a bunch of nasty non-handwashing co-workers and breathing in their air. However, my kids are in public schools and every once in a blue moon someone gets sick. Mostly strep throat, an ear infection or bladder infection in my daughter's case. My daughter has had a cold twice since we've moved to Westchase that I can recall, but there are other issues, like eczema when she comes back from visiting family out of state and now a whole set of allergies that we're dealing with. I've never had an issue getting her in at this location when there's an issue, nor did we at the Clearwater location. We schedule yearly checkups and have sports physicals done and the staff has always been friendly and the Dr.'s have always been very informative.
