I really love Dr. Chai but she is so ridiculously hard to get ahold of. You have any issue? Well she's booked for the next 2 months. Her staff doesn't care that she's overbooked. At what point do you stop accepting new patients and take care of the ones you have? She, however, is a great doctor; I just wish she would set a manageable amount of patients or set aside emergency time slots so people can see her instead of having to go to urgent care. My husband and I are only able to see her twice a year bc we booked it 3 months in advance. read more

Best doctor I've ever had. Knowledgeable, current, caring, attentive, timely. I am so grateful.

I've seen Dr. Chai for almost 5 years now. (I came to her after seeing a fancy 'concierge' doctor in Beverly Hills for many years.) Dr. Chai is so thoughtful and thorough and human. She spends focused time with you and honestly hears and considers all your concerns and questions and she's genuinely friendly and enthusiastic. She has been beyond helpful to me as far as aging/menopause concerns go and always returns calls if I have a question about something. Her office is at Good Samaritan in DTLA-- the outside surroundings aren't great but there's a parking garage close by and they have valet for 15.00. I'm so grateful I found Dr. Chai! read more

Dr. Myra Chai is one of those doctors who was born for this. I really got the impression that she geniunely cares for her patients. She is knowledgeable and has a great attitude. And I appreciated how she explained my health concerns very clearly and placed the orders for tests in timely. The only drawback is that she wasn't running on time. I waited 40 minutes for my appointment. read more

Dr Chai is the best doctor I have ever seen. She listens, she has progressive ideas about medicine. She draws blood and sends it out so that you don't have to go to a lab. However.... Her reception staff are by far the rudest most unfriendly medical staff I have ever encountered. I know two other patients that go to the office that absolutely agree with me. They are rude on the phone AND in person. It doesn't matter if you are a new patient or a long time patient (which I was). You are treated with contempt and icy aggression. It is truly remarkable. Their behavior is why I finally stopped going to the practice for treatment. It sucks that I can't see my favorite all time doctor, because the people that I have to deal with to see her are terrible. Let it be known I haven't had a direct confrontation with anyone there that's not why I say this. It was a couple of years of awfulness and I finally decided not to put up with it and switched doctors. read more

Dr Chai is incompetent. she advised my father against an annual prostate cancer exam while another doctor a few years later provided and discovered it escalated to stage 4 already. it should have been treated earlier when it would have been more manageable. utter negligence. read more

Dr. Chai is an amazing doctor. She ACTUALLY listens and doesn't discriminate based on the way I look. I feel like she actually cares about me as a person, which is sadly a first for me with a medical professional. Yes, the wait times can be a little longer, but I know that means she is taking time with her other patients the same way she does with me, so I don't mind waiting at all. I was recently forced to change insurances and will continue to pay out of pocket to see Dr. Chai until I can get back onto a plan that she takes. She is that good. I can understand the complaints about long wait times to get an appointment, etc, but I feel like this is the case no matter what Dr. you try to see in LA. I have a lot of anxiety around doctors for many reasons but Dr. Chai always puts me at ease. She's the only Dr. apt I've left with tears in my eyes for good reasons instead of frustrating/bad ones. read more

Dr. Chai has been my doctor for about five years now. The phone service is great, the assistants go out of they're way to be helpful. Whether you need medical records or simply make an appointment. Dr. Chai always runs in a timely manner. I feel like she really cares about my needs. Steers me in the right direction and I love our phone calls, makes it so easy to get a quick opinion or advice. read more

Doctor. She is very conscientious and you can tell she cares about every patient. She is a general family practice with her father.

My patient care was discontined in November because she decided to not take my health insurance anymore. Wasn't even sent a letter or email to be told. Was sent a message on the internal doctor messaging portal. Who even checks that? Now I can't get my prescription refilled and am left totally in the lurch. This whole system screws patients over through an unhelpful and expensive health insurance program. I thought a doctor would at least care about their patients' well-being, but obviously they do not. Good luck out there catering only to a specific type of patient with the specific health insurance that you deign to accept. And to current patients: Make sure you log on often to check your messages! You never know when you might get kicked off your coverage. read more

I am 51 years old, and Dr. Chai is my favorite doctor I have ever seen. Her father Dr. Alex Chai was my practitioner for years before she joined his practice. He is great, too. When she joined I switched to her just because I wanted a female doctor at the time, though my husband stayed with Dr. Alex Chai. Myra is so present and caring and intelligent and up-to-date on current treatments and best practices. She cares about the whole health of a person. She is warm and has a natural way of conveying confidence and trustworthiness. I could not recommend her more. read more

If you want personal one on one care, to be listened to and believed about symptoms, and a physician that partners with you to get you healthy, Dr Chai is the one. I don't live in the state any more but if I did I would travel any distance to have her as my primary care physician. You'll have a long wait sometimes but the expertise and care are worth it! read more

the most personable, kind, smart, friendly doc I have ever met with. I was so so impressed with her! She was so kind and helpful with what I came to see her for. She drew my blood in the room with her which I've never had a doc do before, saving me a trip to the lab. Seriously left there feeling so seen, heard and hopeful. I can't wait to see her again and cannot recommend her enough. She stayed in the room with me longer than any other doc has before too, which was so impressive, given I know doctor's are often overbooked etc. Nicest staff too. 10/5 stars. read more

Dr Myra Chai has helped my brother with some serious health issues. She has really saved his life. She never rushes. She listens. She shows concern and celebrates when things go well. I highly recommend Dr Chai. read more

I cannot recommend Dr Myra Chai enough. She listens, is knowledgeable and up to date on long haul covid practices, and is the ontl doctor I've seen who put on a mask when they saw that I was wearing one. 10/10 read more

The quality of care is middle of the road. Not great. Dr. Chai has good bedside manner but I never trusted her judgment 100%. Hard to get ahold of - you have to message again & again. Agree with the other reviewer about the abrupt disconnect of care - seems like a big difference with how she presents at bedside. read more

Wonderful primary care doctor. Easy to talk to, listens, and not too hard to get an appointment with most times. I'll miss having her as my Dr. because my insurance has changed. read more

Dr Chai is amazing. So glad I found her. Really trust her and feel confident in the care I'm receiving. SO GRATEFUL!

Beyond terrible. I do not trust the positive reviews online for her - I know that many doctors post fake ones. My experience with her was unspeakably traumatic. I don't think she should be practicing medicine. read more

She's the best GP I've ever had - hands down. A fellow mom, she's tuned into women's health and takes her time, I especially appreciate her covert in-office lab work skills - painless and fast. Thrilled to have found her! read more

Finally have found a general doctor that I actually like in LA. She is so friendly, great listener, and it was actually a pleasant experience. I will refer her to my friends :) read more

Dr. Myra Chai is the complete package - smart, great bedside manner, enthusiastic, young and current with all the changes and studies as it relates to health. I've personally struggled with a health issue for years and have seen countless doctors, and Dr. Chai is the only one who has ever taken the time to help me figure it out. It's early in her career so she's very eager and inquisitive, so if you have been struggling with a condition and you can't seem to find answers, Dr. Chai is your doctor:) Highly recommended!! read more

Dr. Myra Chai is the best doctor I've ever had. She put me at ease, didn't dismiss my concerns, and was so kind. She also diagnosed issues other doctors had missed. I can't stress enough what a wonderful doctor and person Dr. Myra Chai is -- I'm so lucky I found her! She also sent a comprehensive review of my labs during a holiday week, which didn't go unnoticed, as I know it's a busy time for all. Plus, her staff is very kind (and humored my fear of needles, which is appreciated). read more

She's the best. Very kind and listens to you. She makes you feel good coming to the doctor! Highly recommend!

Dr. Myra Chai is such a great doctor. Very personal experience and as a patient she doesn't make you wait. My old doctor would make me wait an hour to be seen. Nice to be seen by such a good doctor who also respects your time. She's so up to date on all the new medical treatments and doesn't over do it. Basically the first doctor I really enjoy going to in LA. read more

Found Dr Chai through a referral from my kids' doctor. She is one of the best family doctors I've seen. Her bedside manner is top notch and she never makes you feel like she's rushing through the appointments. I like how she takes the times to listen to my concerns and takes them seriously even though some times no treatment is needed. The most important thing is she does not over do labs or medications. If you are looking for a family doctor, I highly recommend Dr Chai. read more

Dr Chai is amazing - the best way I can explain why she is so great is that she feels like a small town caring doctor in a big city. I am so happy I found her! read more

This doctor is hardly contactable and non responsive through the messaging app that patients are required to use. My elderly parents are constantly waiting in pain to hear back from her to update prescriptions or improve on her initial diagnosis. read more

I love this doctor. She really cares and knows her stuff. She has really helped my husband who has some pretty serious issues to get better and have him be more comfortable. She takes her time, doesn't rush. She's just amazing. Wish all doctors were like this! read more

I am SO happy I found Dr. Chai. She is SO kind, so friendly, so helpful and knowledgeable and her bedside manner can't be beat. She is proactive and really listens. She is extremely professional and the office is super clean and really beautifully designed. It feels very modern, not like those dingy doctor's offices you see at urgent care. I'm really excited to finally have a doctor who is ready to actually HELP me and not just throw drugs at me. read more

Dr. Chai is fantastic--she listens, is patient, and has great bed side manner. However getting a hold of her is like pulling teeth. There is an online messaging service, but I'm not sure if she checks it very often or if that is left to her staff. Regardless--it takes an extremely long time to get a response. As for the staff, the front desk can be very curt. Obviously when you can't get a hold of the doctor via email/message then you end up calling the office, but when you have to do that, the staff is not very patient with you. There have been multiple instances where I have had to call repeatedly and have met resistance with the front desk staff in getting something accomplished. I have had to chase prescriptions myself, called my insurance repeatedly, and called my pharmacist repeatedly in order to the get the answer to simple questions that the front desk doesn't seem to want to help with, and, because you can't get a hold of the doctor, you have to find the answers elsewhere. I have left messages to get called back, and they don't return your call. If you want something done, you essentially have to harass the front desk staff which then makes them more unpleasant with you. Admittedly this is understandable, but there is no other way to accomplish this with them. Overall, great doctor, but if you can't stand up for yourself bureaucratically and don't have the time or energy to deal with the incessant back and forth at this office in order to get past the gatekeepers, you should probably look for care elsewhere. read more

I am so glad that I found Myra! I went through a very difficult year, and had seen multiple doctors with no results. The difference is that Myra actually LISTENS. She never makes me feel rushed, and I always ask a lot of questions, so that's saying something. She addresses every concern no matter how small, and makes sure to take in every aspect of my life in how she chooses to treat me. Front office is also very friendly, and make it easy to schedule appointments including Skype calls! read more

Dr. Myra Chai is the absolute BEST. My husband and I had been looking for a primary care office for a couple years and we were referred to Dr. Chai by another physician. Initially my husband went for a physical and was so happy with the office that I ended up seeing her as well. She is truly the most kind, compassionate, interested and knowledgeable physician I have ever seen. She takes her time to get to know you, listens, and is never in a rush. You truly feel like she has your best interests in mind, because she does. On top of that, her staff is very friendly and they accept several different insurances. You are never overcharged, always feel taken care of, and the environment is so welcoming. I have recommended Dr. Chai to all of my family and friends and will continue to do so. If you're looking for a new physician, look no further - I can guarantee you'll love Dr. Chai as much as we do! read more

Just met Dr. Myra Chai today because my wife had become her patient and loved her so much she insisted I switch doctors. I hate going to doctors, it makes me anxious and uncomfortable, they always have to take my BP several times before it finally goes down. Dr. Myra Chai was so approachable and personable that I immediately let my guard down, and was shocked to find myself feeling at ease soon after she entered the room. She thoroughly answered all my questions, and asked insightful questions of her own as she went through my history. She also made me laugh a lot which was a first experience in a doctor's office for me. What I really loved about her was that though she created a relaxed environment she was still very much a stickler about preventative care and without trying to freak me out, urged me to screen earlier (than recommended) for prostate cancer since it runs in my family. I was so blown away to have had a pleasant, fun and yet thorough examination, that I had to write this review. Dr. Myra Chai, like my wife insisted, is an incredible doctor. read more
