I was well looked after by the hair washer, who gave me a lovely massage, and the hairstylist was friendly but not too animated (which is a pet hate of mine, I don't need to talk ALL the time). The decor is French and feminine with antique furniture and there was alternative music playing which was a nice change to other salons I've been in. The overall result was good, but not the greatest haircut I've ever had. However, the price is great, so it's a little bit of a trade off.

Sadly I lost the card with the stylists name who I had the best experience with so have been just hoping to get lucky every time since then. There are many other hair salon in the area just like Hayato hair salon, now, why did I decided on the Jubilee?? the hair salon I first went into in fact was Hayato but the guy was cocky and with attitude so I left their premise... Since they seems to want to only do ppl with "Virgin hair" un-dyed. Anyways after that moment my second choice became my first choice and I'm glad! I was hesitating if I wanted my hair color done in this hair salon, so I had a consultation with one of the staff then decided to book an appointment for the Saturday, which I was given the approx amount what I would expect to be paying and made a deposit. My hair stylist's name is Yukiko, very professional and polite, I did twice bleaching, color and hair cut, I went for balayage ombré with so baby light in the tone of grey blue lilac ish kind of theme, I also had hair mask done as well. Overall i like my experience although the price was a bit high, considering it is however in Covent Garden, everything will b higher price point. On my first visit I didn't get the desired color, therefore, YUkiko offered me to come back the following week to fix my color, and I would require to pay if I need bleaching, otherwise I won't. I like how my haircut went, I just trimmed about 2-3 inches n cleaned up the end since bleaching pretty much kill my hair anyways lol. My other half had a hair cut all went well, he had a junior stylist cut his hair n he payed 35£ n he like it so that's all it matters. Product they use for hair colouring is Wella, I wish they uses Olaplex but oh well. Overall experience it was great! Definitely recommend and would go back to YuKiko.

As you can see from my before and after pictures, I had quite a lot of length cut off and was expecting a more stylish cut. I ended up with a pretty standard Bob, which is still nice, but not my ideal. I had detailed pictures of what I wanted but the hairdresser wanted me to "name" the haircut. Like short-angled bob or something like that. She seemed to have a bunch of hair cuts memorised in her head but had trouble letting her creative side take over. But once again, I probably should go to a more experienced salon and hair stylist if I'm expecting a true hair style. There seemed to be about 50% men and 50% women getting their hair cut on the Saturday I went. Definitely a good deal for the price.

I was booked in with a Russian gent called Edward. I have extremely dry, curly hair. Most stylists want to chop inches off and layers in to my hair in a bid to make it more manageable. Not Edward. He recognised that my hair is extremely thick and that layers would make it more unmanageable. He knew that cutting 5 inches off wouldn't make it less dry than it already is. He simply did what was best, which was just cut an inch off. After I get my hair washed at salons, it normally takes 2/3 stylists no joke to brush the knots out. No jokes. Not with Edward. He had it brushed out and trimmed in the space of 30 mins, and even though I didn't request a blow dry, he gave me one anyway and didn't charge. Can't recommend this place enough, I've been to a lot of the top salons in London and this place definitely did the best job of cutting my hair.

It is quite a small little place with a funky, Japanese inspired interior. The company actually originates from Japan and salon owner Nic uses Eastern hairdressing techniques such as the Yuko Straightening system. The staff are amazingly friendly without being overbearing and the prices are around the same as your average (upper scale) London salon. The stylists really take time to understand you and what hair style or colour you are after - Yuki was my stylist and I would definitely recommend her. They also run regular promotions such as free treatments during particular time periods and have VIP rooms and even the internet for those on-the-go type folks. I am one fussy lady when it comes to my hair and have been known on a number of occasions to complain but my experience here was brilliant and left with a gorgeous cut and a lovely shade of blonde!

I found Headmasters through yelp and they looked to have good reviews. I didn't need anything fancy, so I was OK with having anyone at a decent salon cut my hair. I arrived right when they opened on a Sunday in hopes that no one booked an appointment first thing in the morning. When I arrived, I asked the young man working there if they accepted walk-ins - yes; is anyone available now? - no; Ok, is there any availability later today? - maybe; Do you know around what time maybe? - 3pm, but I'm not sure; Alright, should I just come back after 3 or can I book something now? - I don't know, they'll probably be all booked by then. At this point I just walked away, they obviously didn't want my business. I understand I'm a walk-in so can't get preferential treatment over their customers with an appointment, and I get that I have no idea of how busy they are. But he already told me there might be an opening after a certain time and didn't bother to check who was free, thus not allowing my any services. This is at 9am, he literally just opened the doors to the shop, and no other customers were there. If you're fully booked, just say you're fully booked. I can understand that. Again, I can't attest to how they do hair as I wasn't even given the opportunity to even get my foot through the door. One star for the bad service by the front desk. I know this doesn't change much for their regular customers, but hopefully new customers can bring their business some where they are wanted.

So laid back, he was sitting across the street in a doorway having a fag while I was getting my hair washed. I was a little bemused and terrified through the whole experience. I was never entirely sure that he hadn't spent his career to this date in a poodle parlour. He ruffled my hair a lot, excessively so, it was quite funny actually. He spent an awful long time gazing at me, sniping away and staring at me. No-one this good looking has ever looked at me this intensely. He cut and cut and cut, then got out a razor. No one has ever used a razor on my hair in my entire life! This haircut is precise! F#@k it's short! I'm not sure how he ever thinks I will style it. Seriously he might be the worst hairdresser in the world or the best, am too dazzled to decide. Headmasters lose a star because he ghd'd my hair instead of blow drying it straight, which is the laziest thing to do. A good hairdresses can dry it poker straight. The staff are all young and fun and friendly, you will get a great cut here.
