While I was discussing what I wanted to do with my wife because they had given me the wrong information, the manager got annoyed and "well, it's time for your appointment. What are you doing?" RUN! I just spend over $300.00 for an exam and one pair of contacts. This was my first experience with any eye doctor I sure hope they're not all like this. Honestly I don't think they gave me the correct contacts because I can see better without the contacts they gave me. Without these contacts I can see great far but can't see to read. With these contacts I can't see far or read so I think I just spend 300.00 for nothing. Not sure what to do at this point other than take the loss and hope to find a real company to help me. I have been going to weaver eye care for over 12 years they sold to eye Dr. I decided to stay with them because my Dr stayed and I liked her. This place is horrible all they care about is money. I was talked into buying a years worth of contacts for $1000 but that I can return them yearly if not used before they expire. I went to return some today to get my perception. Grant it I bought them in 2021. But they don't expire till sept 10 of 2025. Today they said sorry won't change them. Even though when they sell them to you they claim as long as they aren't expired they'll exchange them. My husband stopped going to them over a year ago because they couldn't get his prescription correct. He went 4 times to remake his lenses. After the fourth time he said I can't see through these lenses I want my money back and they said no. He called the insurance company and they reversed the charges, Because he didn't not get his glasses. They were just going to keep the money. Think twice about going to this eye dr. I will never step foot in that place ever again. They are terrible coustomer service oriented. read more

I made an appt at this location when my primary office was unavailable. Big mistake. I wasn't seen by a doctor in person, the whole exam was done over Zoom. Then I paid for an order of daily contacts with an incorrect prescription. Now I have to go back to repeat the whole exam because they aren't sure what my prescription actually was from the exam. They don't remember; told me only one eye changed, but the contacts are both an different prediction now. Unbelievably unprofessional to not disclose that the exam is virtual. Then apparently didn't even record any of the data from the exam. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE. read more

Trying to get fitted was always going to be overwhelming because it was my first time getting a pair of prescription glasses. I wandered around the store for a while, a little confused, but Morissa helped me figure out which frames I would like and then went into the back to pull some more I might like. (Every single one she pulled was very cute!) The entire staff was friendly and helped me pick out the best frames, Morissa was amazingly helpful in breaking down what my insurance was covering and what was happening, and she answered my questions with such patience and grace. The entire vibe of the store was amazing - the staff seemed to have genuine camaraderie and were very competent - I'm honestly excited to come back in two weeks to pick up my glasses. read more

Went here for an eye exam 11/6/21. Received bill YESTERDAY 9/27/2022 for an extra $35.00 because eye glass insurance began 12/1/2021 and the exam wasn't covered. Okay..I get that..but... After picking out an expensive pair of everyday glasses AND an additional pair of sunglasses at the White St location shortly following the exam at the Commons location, (No openings at White St.), I realized that it was taking somewhat of a long time (about 1 1/2 - 2 mos.), with no contact from the office about the glasses. I decide to go to the office where I found out they had an incorrect digit in my phone number. So, if I hadn't decided to go in, I may never have found out anything at all. But...there's more... I wait to be seen about 15 mins. I get called, sit down and the woman proceeds to take the glasses out of the bin. They weren't wiped down; fingerprints all over (during Covid). She wipes them down, places them on my face, and they are oversized (unsized) and blurry as if it was the first time I tried them on. I said something is wrong; these aren't my glasses and she says, "everything appears to be right, but I don't know what could have happened" . She thought that they might have been given to another patient...she mentioned that someone within the store did not label things properly. So, after 2 months I still didn't have my new glasses. I had 2 wait another 3-4 weeks before I received them. About 3 months waiting for new glasses.. I understand the eye exam is different from the glasses, however I'm not happy at all that it took this long to get billed, that I had to wait for my glasses longer than expected because of unreliable service, and they want the $35.00 difference FOR POOR SERVICE. I don't appreciate this and will probably take my business elsewhere. read more

I don't want to completely trash the place because the doctors and staff seemed professional, but I did have two major problems with my exam 1. My vision insurance (independence blue cross) covers 100% of my eye exams. In spite of that, this place charged me $80 on top of my vision insurance for a "contact lens fitting". I didn't do any special tests beyond what you always do on an eye exam. The puff of air, the picture of the farm that they zoom in and out on, and then the "1.... or 2... 1... or 2....". But apparently somewhere in there they measured my eyes for contacts (which only really come in 2 sizes, they aren't custom made) and they charged me $80 for the privilege. I have gotten eye exams for the last 10 years with vision insurance and I have never been charged beyond my policy for anything, let alone 80 damn dollars. That was after I declined (it took me 3 tries) doing a test that costs another $27 to take a picture of my eyes. 2. My visit took entirely too long. That's not to say it was a thorough exam, everything just moved very slow. I was in the building for a total of 90 minutes, less than 10 of that was spent with a doctor. I had an appointment and I arrived 10-15 minutes ahead as I was told to. There was only one other person in there for an eye exam. I waited a half hour to see the first person, another 10 to see the doctor, and then another 15 or so waiting for the guy who upsells you on glasses or contacts. The entire appointment should have taken 20 minutes not 90. The place seems professional and clean, and if you're getting glasses, maybe they will do ok for you. But their contact lens exam feels like a scam to me, and their contact prices are not great. They were charging 50% more for the brand of contacts I wear than I can get them elsewhere in town. I had an appointment for 5:30 pm and arrived at 5:20 to be told that my appointment was supposed to be at 5 and the dr already left for the day. I showed them multiple texts reminders from them that all say 5:30. Needless to say, I am rescheduling at a different eye doctor that can manage their appointments better. The lady helping me was nice, but that doesn't make up for the hour it took me to get here or the fact that I now have to schedule ANOTHER appointment for no reason. read more

I bought a great pair of glasses but there was a very tiny crack in the one lens, it's now big enough to be a concern so I called them to have the lens replaced and was told it would be 313.00 after my insurance allowance. I told them that is very high and since they were firm on this price I decided to get a pair from another place when I get the money. I did an online review and was called by a patient relations representative and given a phone number to call her back at. I do not have long distance so I called the local office for assistance and they left her a voice mail and also sent her an email explaining I could not call her back and why. She called me again while I was at work and left the same phone number to call her back at. How can the average person afford such high prices and why in the world is it so hard to call me after work? I'm very disappointed, and now I have to start all over again with another eye doctor when I have enough money. read more

My daughter had a terrible experience here last week. After having an excellent exam with the eye doctor, she wanted to find a new frame. Due to Covid restrictions, they would not allow me in the building to help her choose frames. They told her to pick out a few and take them outside for me to see them. I was waiting on a bench outside in 93 degree heat. I should mention that there was only one other customer in at the time and we both had masks on/along to keep others safe. After the second trip outside the doors with none that she liked, my daughter said the worker was mumbling under her breath about how long my daughter was taking to decide. After texting me this, I told my daughter to get her prescription and leave. While sitting there, I watched two people come to the door who had to have their new glasses fit by trying them on while standing on the sidewalk with no mirror to look at. They were being told to just go home and see how they fit for you. The workers who came to the door were not respectful to the customers. After buying glasses at this location for more than 15 years, we will not return. read more

I don't want to completely down the place because some of the staff are nice but after I pick up my eye glasses and tried them on low and behold my prescription was completely wrong. They also yelled out my birth date, address and phone number so the whole place knew my information. They also did this with my kids. read more

My husband always goes here to get his eyes checked because of his Diabetes and they are always very friendly and helpful. I noticed I wasn't able to see things far away so I made an appointment with them and I was nervous because I've never had to wear glasses until now. Everyone was very friendly and they put me at ease about checking my eyesight and things went really well. I was overwhelmed by the selection of glasses, and they helped me pick out some nice frames that I really liked as well as prescription sunglasses. They were so helpful and nice. They made everything go as smoothly as possible, great customer service. read more

Bad experience. Be warned. Ordered 2 pairs of glasses. First my insurance information was entered incorrectly and I had to go back and point out they over charged me by over $221. Now, the second pair of glasses, sunglasses, that I ordered just lenses for my existing expensive Ray Ban frames have not come in after weeks and they tell me they had an employee who worked for them who has been fired but stole my frames that I had left to have the ordered lenses inserted into. read more
