When I called multiple times they said they would call back and did not. When I went into the store to ask for contacts To hold me over, it took 30 minutes to get the worker to actually do what I was asking. after almost 2 months of falling and waiting for contacts I will have to pay out of pocket and not use insurance because they did not help me at all. Very professional and thorough exam.Even though I wanted contacts, he explained to me that I was not a good candidate for them and would not be happy with them. I have been going there since the beginning of March this is April and I still have not received my glasses because they will not put in the right prescription in my glasses. On hold for 33 minutes, then 39, then 23. I went on Twitter to contact corporate. How does a business stay in business when they do not answer their phone?! I would honestly give them zero stars if it allowed me. My first appointment was telehealth because they messed up my appointment time, which I only knew that because the staff told me. The person who ran the telehealth equipment in the exam room was extremely unfriendly. The doctor who saw me via telehealth was uncompassionate as she was telling me about issues with my vision, that I would just have to deal with. The follow up appointment for my contact fitting, I requested to see a doctor in person, which according to the office staff was not a problem. The doctor, Dr. Weaver, refused to see me, since I saw telehealth previously, even though I specially requested to see a doctor face to face since I was having issues with my vision. He was rude and unprofessional. I just went to another eye doctor, which I paid out of pocket for. I was told the paperwork from Vision Works stated I needed bifocals, which I do not need. The vision works staff never even discussed this even though I ordered new glasses. The doctor I paid out of pocket for took the time to exam me, explained everything that was going on with my vision, and steps to take to try to correct the issue. I was also told at vision works, I was not a Lasik candidate, and it would not fix my vision issues, which is also false. Vision Works needs to discontinue their telehealth program as it is giving people inaccurate readings and they need to hire doctors who actually care about the patients, not a paycheck. read more

I walked in to Visionworks and was behind a women who wanted her glasses fixed without paying. The receptionist at the front desk advised the women numerous times that they could not fix the glasses, however the women kept trying to get free service. The receptionist asked the customer if she wanted to make an appointment to see a doctor. The women stated "No"! but kept talking about her glasses. At this time it's after 11:15am and ten minutes later the women finally left. I gave the receptionist my name and she went to the back to speak with the lying a#$ brunette something. The receptionist came back and stated that I was late and needed to reschedule. My husband and I was dumbfounded. I advise them that we were here standing behind the customer that clearly did NOT want to pay for service but yet wasted time talking back and forth with her. I did not interupt them because clearly I was physically in the building. The lying a#$ brunette came up to the front and stated that I was late and my paper work was not submitted. I advised otherwise and told her I did submit and felt like I should not be accounted for being late since I was in the building behind a customer that Visionworks wasted their time on talking to getting no where. The brunette went back in forth wasting more time with me contridicting herself. About 3 years ago I had my glasses made by the Visionworks store located at the Carlisle Rd in York PA. These glasses were the best ones I ever had. Last week I broke them when trying to dry after rinsing (completely my fault). I took the glasses to the store and I was willing to pay something for the fix. For my surprise they had it fixed by placing a new eye wire in less than 10 minutes and they refused to charge me for that. This only confirms to me that the people there truly know how to make you feel glad for being their customer. My first contact lenses will be done there for sure!
