I have peen a patient at this location on and off for several years now and have experienced inconsistencies with regard to customer service along the way. But no more!!! Ever since Devin was hired, I have not had a single disappointing experience. Quite the opposite. He has proven to be an employee who is approachable, knowledgeable and reliable over and over again. He is the whole package! I have been advised, assisted and satisfied with every encounter I have had in dealing with him in the purchase of my last two pairs of glasses and I'll be back in November for my third. I was wondering when I would meet an unpleasant person in Warrenton, and after 3 months of living here I finally did! It's Gloria the manager of MyEyeDr with the fuchsia cracked lipstick that made me wish I hadn't put my contacts back in. The doctor and the front desk woman were very friendly and knowledgeable. However, when I was done with my contact exam I was forced to talk to Gloria about buying contacts. I came there for an exam. I told Gloria I didn't want to buy contacts there, I buy them online bc it is SO much cheaper, she immediately got defensive and then rude. I will be taking my business somewhere else next year. read more

She was nice. when the person getting waited on was done, the guy helping her blew past me to help someone else who was after me and never once acknowledged my existence. I was rudely greeted by a man asking what do you need , I told them I had a appointment , he went to the nearby computer shoving the office lady to the side & said I was late and cannot be seen now. Being late I had still arrived early making me still less than 10 min late and apologized for the mix up in timing.The secretary checked with the doctor who was already well into a patient exam it seemed , made me wonder to myself were they the ones running late hum seemed strange ? I have never been so appalled by a I suppose manager or whatever he was ,rude ,and very ugly in his behaviour , I explained I really needed a exam and was very concerned about my vision.He cared the least ,feeling very sorry for the secretary I just left and found other care available at a more civil eye care place in Fredericksburg and for the record I did have a problem with the retina that was discovered on the imaging that My Eye Doctor offered and that I was seeking .I will never go to them again or suggest anyone I know go there, this man is not a good rep for the Warrenton My Eye Dr. or any type of business where customers are. I hope the secretary finds another job I can only imagine that she maybe been embarrassed & what it's like to work for such a person! read more

My exam and help choosing my frames and lenses couldn't have been better. Dr Brykczynski is everything thing you want in a doctor. I have a couple of minor eye issues, she took the time to make sure I understand exactly what is going on and how I should look after my issues. The front office was also very helpful with letting me know what my insurance paid, my responsibility, and answered any questions I had. Kyle the manager here, is in the business of ripping off customers and being too rude to listen to why the charge was not correct. I visited the office for a contact exam, was charged for a non selection contact fit (75$ out of pocket), when my contact prescribed was a selection fit(100% covered by my insurance), the doctor gave me a sample of a lens in addition to my prescription to try that was considered a non selection lens. But that lens is not what I came back and ordered or was prescribed. Kyle rudely ignored my explanation of the exam and refused to issue a refund, so I am forced to call my insurance company and have them handle it. So, I called my insurance company, and they agreed with me, they charged me incorrectly. But they said they couldn't force them to refund me, they could only call them and try to get them to refund me. He refused and told my insurance company I was only trying to get out of paying. They recommend I go in when I pick up my contacts and speak to the doctor that saw me directly. Update: today 8/15 I spoke to the doctor, who agreed they did not provide me with a lens or a fit for a lens that would necessitate I be charged. The doctor spoke to Kyle and he STILL refused to issue a refund. I assume at this point poor Kyle's pride would take too much a hit to admit he was wrong. Update 2: My eye dr. corporate called me and apologized for the behavior of their staff. They also refunded me the amount I was improperly charged. read more

Horrible customer service and no professionalism. The tech doing the eye exam told my mother she was lucky to have a prosthetic eye so she only had to do an exam on one. The doctor did not introduce himself and mom and I had to ask his name when he was leaving the exam. Person selling glasses and frames became huffy when I told her I did not want to purchase anything and completed my transaction incorrectly based on my insurance coverage. Would not confirm my online lens order so I could order cheaper lenses. Very bad business. Get some product and customer service training. read more

I am really trying to wrap my head around the poor reviews I see here. I have had the pleasure of being taken well care of at this location twice, and both experiences were perfect. I was a little reluctant to write a review after my visit bc I thought maybe it was a fluke. BUT.. not only did everything go textbook perfect after my visit, they also took amazing care of my son during his visit. The Dr's at this location were amazing and really took their time. We never felt rushed, and they answered all our questions. While my son did not need glasses, I did purchase glasses, and sunglasses for myself. Misty was my salesperson, and she was very knowledgable. She made excellent suggestions for eyeglass styles, so I found the perfect pair quickly, and I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. My glasses showed up when promised and I love them! Thank you so much for your help. We will be definitely be back. read more

Amazing service and a great dr! For the past 40 some years I've been trying to find the correct Rx and I finally found a doctor that has common sense and isn't over- doing it trying to treat my complex vision issues. Sometimes simpler is better and he priced that to me! I'm so happy!! read more

This outfit after spending over $3k with them lost an expensive pair of frames I gave them for new lenses and instead of taking responsibility they continued to blame the OEM for the loss, but promised an expedite, which was over 2 weeks ago. The mgr offered no resolve, only blame on others. I did not give my frames to the OEM, I gave them to MYEYEDR. They then inform me, after I gave them the frames that they have issues w the OEM, no mention of that until they were lost and only spoke poorly of the OEM. I STILL DO NOT have my frames or any update on status of arrival, seems only amazon can handle shipping, never again MYEYEDr, you suck bad... read more

As if you could not be any more incompetent. My glasses and contacts have apparently been ready for days just sitting at this office, a family member happened to ask about it while she was there. Said "they texted me". No text message, not to mention the last message they sent was incorrect and also asking me to come get an eye exam after I just had one. When I went in for my annual Rx update the doctor I saw had me in and out of the exam very quickly. After my exam I was lead to the front desk and told I could browse the frames to find my new glasses. I was shocked at the cost of the frames, so, I opted to only get new glasses and not sunglasses as well. The clerk who took my pupil measurements for the progressive lenses didn't discuss what lens options I had. I was concerned with my previous glasses (from another chain) that the field of vision within the progressive lens was too narrow. Had she indicated that a more expensive lens was better at displaying a wider field of vision I may have gone that route. However, she didn't communicate with me anything beyond the extra out of pocket cost after my insurance was filed. It wasn't until after I left that I realized my hard copy of the new Rx was not included, but needed for any other glasses purchases with my new Rx. When my new glasses finally arrived I went into the Warrenton location to get them. The clerk who fit them for me did very minimal in regard to fitting them to my face. Not once did she actually feel the ear piece to see how it was laying or look at how they sat on my head. I did request a hard copy of the new Rx - There was no doctor available to sign the Rx. I had to go back the next day. The next day when I returned, again, I spoke with the GM who was very dismissive regarding the concern I had with the narrow field of vision in the new progressive Rx. He did offer to redo the lenses, as is, or I could pay the $180 additional out of pocket to get the more expensive lenses. So his initial resolution to my concerns was to have me spend more money at his location. This is not how you win new customers over. Nor is it how you foster the goodwill with a customer to pass your location on as a recommended place for eye care. My employer, who my insurance is through, is literally right across the street from this location and as I told the GM while I was there, I will NOT recommend this location to any of my coworkers as a place that accepts our insurance since it is not a customer centered location. Encountering the dismissive and rude GM has totally left a bad taste for MyEyeDr! read more

I cannot complain about the Doctors we have seen at MyEyeDr. I can, however, complain about the customer service and ethical business practices. My daughter had to get a pair of glasses for reading. Only reading, simple prescription. They charged us $126 at the time of the visit and then sent us a bill for an additional $145 because they ran an older insurance we had in our file. Even though I have called that store several times now over the course of 4 months and speak to Kyle (store manager) they can't get it right....still sending me the bill for the incorrect insurance. We gave them the correct insurance the day of the visit and each time i call to get this straight. We'll be looking for another Eye Doctor because this place can't get their act together. read more

Six weeks after I had cataract surgery, I finally received my new prescription and went came for my new glasses. I had always had wonderful service at MyEyeDr in Charlottesville, but Warrenton was 50 miles closer. Ten days later, I went in to pick up my new glasses only to find that the lenses are incorrect and I couldn't see. The woman helping me new I was very upset. I had been unable to drive for six weeks and then had a 30 mile round trip to pick up new glasses which were incorrectly made. She very kindly apologized and told me she would rush order the new lenses and give me a "price break" on them. I told her that I appreciated that. Today I went in to pick up the corrected glasses and when I asked them about the price break, the receptionist went to talk with the woman who I had dealt with. She denied it, and said she was referring to the original discount on the glasses themselves (as if I would ever pay $900 for a pair of glasses). This dishonesty will keep me from ever returning to this MyEyeDr and it will keep me from recommending it to anyone else. read more

I purchased a pair of glasses with a warranty this Summer from Anthony choosing higher grade lenses so they would be more scratch resistant. They weren't very scratch resistant. I brought them back and opted for the next level that also had a tint for computer work. I had the lenses for about a month and they got a scratch (honest I'm not that hard on glasses! ) I did not like the tinted glasses as they have a pink tone on the lenses that I did not care for. I brought them back and the lenses were replaced with no hassle or attitude. Anthony was great! My daughter who mainly wears contacts but purchased glasses with the special lenses for her computer work loves them! read more

I was provided excellent customer service. I called and spoke to Kyle around 2 pm and he was able to fit me in for an appointment by 4pm. There was hardly any wait time, and the exam went smoothly and quickly. I felt so much better when I left knowing I could actually see again. The doctor took my desire to save money very seriously, and addressed every concern I had promptly and without question. I ordered my contacts from you guys, which my insurance covered completely. I ended up not purchasing glasses, simply because I couldn't justify the cost when I usually spend about $20 total on my glasses, frames, lenses, and shipping! The frames alone there were about $130, plus about $150 for lenses.... I would absolutely recommend you guys to my friends and family for your eye exams - the glasses however, I'll stick with the price I currently pay! read more

Friendly, efficient, and convenient. I was able to book my appointment via their webportal and was provided service immediately when I arrived. Eye exam was easy and well done. Front Desk Staff are efficient and friendly, as well as the Dr I saw. Even though the in house eye glass store was busy, they got to me within 15 minutes and had everything ready to go with my insurance very quickly after I selected the pair of glasses I wanted. They texted and emailed me when the glasses were ready for pickup. Took maybe 10 minutes when I went to pick up the glasses to test them and make sure everything was good to go. My experience was awful. Visited for a routine eye exam, the optometrist discovered an issue with eye health. She was almost excited to deliver the troubling diagnosis. The technician was more excited. I left terrified & in tears. Followed up with an excellent specialist who calmed my fears, she fully explained the diagnosis without a doom and gloom approach. Doctors usually are careful with criticism of other doctors or health care professionals. The specialist was quick to validate my opinion with the situation. Those are my cons with the establishment, my pros are...I have the option to never return. I pick that option. read more

Outrageous prices ,I felt mislead , they do not., offer refunds basically sales are final ..I went back to using my old glasses due to the new ones they prescribed me , even after a month was awful and getting worse ,triggering double vision for me . They used most if not all of my allowable vision insurance on the first visit , claiming my visit would've been over 800.00 without insurance REALLY ? I was stunned and felt stupid and swindeled !.. 2 weeks after I picked up my glasses the lens fell out " some quality huh " ? Never again .. I have met at least 5 others who have been a victim of MY EYE DR. and we all have the same story ....I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM ! read more

Worse business ever ! I went in for a routine eye exam because my prescription had expired, and I asked the receptionist what it would cost with my insurance. She told me it was only a $20 copay and nothing more. I asked if there were any other fees associated and she insisted no, so I had the exam only to find out at the end there was a $55 copay for contact lenses fittings.. I've had contacts for 18 years, never paid anything like that before. The "manager" on duty said it was a mistake but wouldn't refund the money or have it removed. I won't be going back to that business ever again, bunch of liars.. I recommend they be shut down by whoever has the ability to do so . read more
