In between having my eyes dilated and the actual exam I was asked to sit in the reception area for 30 minutes which ended up being well over an hour and a half. She offered no apology and was not knowledgeable about the results and was sarcastic at one point . She gave very little info about my exam . I will never return to this facility and I have no confidence in her ability as a healthcare professional. Go to The Eye Guys for professional help with your eyes. Every time we come to see him for an eye exam, we get a bill even though our insurance had stated that we are covered. Stupidly, I continued to pay even though they have shady ways of doing business. We have even called the insurance company and had 3 way conversations stating that the service was covered. This weekend I received another bill and contacted their billing department and this person was again rude and nasty telling me she was not going to resubmit the claim even though she clearly remembered having the 3 way call with my husbands insurance company. I will never ever go back to this eye clinic and hope that you choose a different eye doctor before you go and have to deal with these nasty people who work in his office's billing department. I have never been talked to by an office staff member before in this manner and I refuse to be talked to in the condescending way that I've been spoken to by this person. Dr. Casella, you really should consider getting a different person to handle claims for your office. I asked to speak with you so I could tell you myself and I was ignored.

I honestly never heard from them again, so I guess they took my money and ran with it. So I decided to come here. My mother is a patient here and they honor my insurance here so those were all pluses!!! The staff and doctors here are very friendly and gives you the utmost respect while in their care. I had two appointment with Dr. Ben. He checked my eyes to make sure they were in tip toe shape and he fitted for contacts. The contacts that I was given were and still are the best ones I've ever used. Previous ones would dry out and kind of irritate my eyes but the one he issued me feels like I'm not wearing anything at all!!! I love that!!! I also purchased glasses here as well!!! The lady who help with the glasses purchases is super friendly and very helpful!!! I had a hard time deciding what I liked and didn't like, she gave great suggestions. I went with her suggestions and I think I will have a great pair of glasses. This business also keeps up with its customers by sending appointment reminders and letters in the mail. This is what the last place I used lacked in and I'm grateful that I found a place that didn't miss that mark!!! I think this place will do fine with all my eye care needs!!!!

Customers were walking in and walking out because of the wait time. We managed to get our scheduled eye exams done. My son couldn't find any frames that he liked. So he told him he would go elsewhere to get his. However, my daughter and I found some we liked. When getting ready to place the order, she told us that there was a charge, but I knew everything was covered because I had already called insurance prior to the appointment. Long story short I told her to cancel the order and we walked out because she was rude. Never going back again.

Of course they were happy to bill my insurance and take my money. Went to pick up new glasses and one pair didn't fit correctly. The assistant bent the frames to fit to my chagrin which messed them up even more. Brought it to her attention and she just stared at me annoyed. So this is what I pay top premiums for each month with VSP? Now I am forced to find another doctor which probably will cost me more out of pocket.

There were over 15 people waiting outside the door for the building to be opened. Many of them were elderly or handicapped with very limited out side seating. Thankfully the weather was good. Once in you stood in a line to check in. There was no order as to who checked in first. I was the 3rd to arrive since I arrived the standard 15-20 minutes before my appointment but about the 15th to be checked in. The staff was friendly and seemed professional and organized. My problem was with Dr Smith. I felt that he was condescending and not very patient. He was using a very bright light to look into my eyes. There was no forewarning or suggestions on how I was to do this. It was a very hard task for me. I apologized repeatedly. Dr Smith said to me " If you can't look into the light how do you expect us to do the surgery?" I felt like as a failure as he failed to understand how difficult this was for me. He showed no compassion and I felt like I was wasting his time. I try hard to follow instructions and felt very upset when I left his office. Possibly Dr Smith could have given me instructions to make this process easier. He does it everyday ... me once in my lifetime. I will be looking for someone more compassionate to do my surgery ... that I will be paying for.
