This establishment used to be run by a local optometrist and was bought out by MyEye. Since the business change everything aside from a phone call has a price tag. I got to watch an older family member lose a contact, call them, and promptly get upset when he was told at 70 that he needed to come pay them a visit to see if anything had changed. It was "for him", and then when he asked when he could come by was told the nearest opening was two months away, and he should evidently run around blind until then. That really sounds like they care. Not to mention when he got upset at hearing that, the lady on the phone literally laughed at him. This place is a scam. Get your prescription from someplace cheap, then order your contacts or glasses online and save yourself the headache of dealing with this dishonest business. read more

Outstanding service by Dr. Maller and all the staff here. I am always greeted warmly and they handle check-in efficiently. The initial exam is thorough. Since I had been referred for cataract surgery in 2024, they had to scan my glasses because my prescription dramatically changed after the surgery. Dr. Maller always does a thorough exam. He takes time to explain each process. As he checks my vision, he provides enough time for me to look at the changes to select the ones that are best. I come away with an excellent prescription. Angela was awesome in helping select new frames. She asked about what I liked and gathered a good selection. She advised on how each one looked and I picked some that fit well AND look good. Came by way of a Groupon coupon and I had my doubts but turned around when I met my doctor she was very through with my exam as was her assistant. Prices were fair and depending upon your health insurance you can save very well here. Will be back next year for my annual exam. read more

I have been to many eye doctors and i must say Dr. Villa (not sure if spelling right) was a very kind patient doctor. He genuinely seems like he cares and he informed and taught me more about my eyes than any doctor i ever met. He explains details about your eyes very well, and answers questions patiently. Unlike most that try to rush through things. He took his time. He was wonderful. The staff was really nice too. I will definitely make this location my go to place :) Can't believe i've lived here all this time and never known this location. Our daughter just had the best experience at the Furys Ferry location this morning. Beginning with check-in all the way to choosing frames and checking out. Grace was friendly and helpful when checking in. Dr. Hector Mallar was friendly and thorough during the eye exam. Angela was amazing with helping her choose frames. She was super helpful, friendly, efficient and patient. Our daughter took a long time deciding on frames. Angela even brought in reinforcements and got other employees on-site to give their opinion. They reached out to me after my bad experience and asked me to come back. I agreed if I could see another doctor that I saw recommended here. I offered to go to a different location, but they scheduled me with Dr Hecter Mellar who took much time with me for my vision, prisms and near vision. He tried a number of options and they ordered new lenses that have proper prisms and correction. I found all of the remaining staff willing to go overboard to be sure I was pleased. Thus, I suggest that if you have a problem, you express it. They will work with you. I especially recommend Dr Mellar. Working with him was a good experience. read more

I booked my appointment online and despite receiving a confirmation, I received a call which explained that due to my type of insurance that I would need to give up the appointment, because another patient with different insurance booked the same appointment. I have Georgia peachcare as we recently moved here. It is a terrible thing to deny appointments due to the type of insurance and to bump me for my appointment as well. Sara explained that my insurance can only have 4 appointments a day, so if you book and you're number 5 - be prepared for the call to cancel. read more

Dr. Cutright-Hamlin is very friendly and listens. She worked with me to find the right approach for contact lenses to balance between near and far vision, and I am happy with the results. I always go to the Fury's Ferry MyEyeDr for all my glasses needs! From the warm greeting at the front desk to the Eye Dr, everyone was welcoming and just generally excited about their work. The manager, Katie, personally helped me pick out new glasses that best fit me. She was absolutely charming and a pleasure to work with. STAY AWAY. This place does not care about patients. They got my insurance $650+ and my copay $300, I guess their happy! I AM NOT. The glasses didn't fit well. The General Manager had the audacity to insinuate that the problem was not with the glasses and, "I needed to get used to them." Almost 3 weeks later, I'm not "used' to them. I went back, once only to be insulted as I mentioned by the GM. If I could I would take these WORTHLESS glasses back, tell my insurance company not to pay, get my co pay back and go somewhere else. This practice is a joke. In the last visit they made multiple errors and Katie the manager was flippant and made very little effort to correct anything. They are significantly more expensive than Perle Vision or Walmart Optical. Given the premium that they charge you would think that they would stand behind their mistakes and do something to keep you as a customer for the long haul. If you want an optometrist that delivers correct the first time and stands behind their mistakes this is not the place for you. read more

This place is absolute crap. They said the appointment was scheduled at 12 but I got a confirmation text for the appointment at 12:20. They were like the doctor is gone for day and there is nothing hey can do about it. They are unprofessional. If the appointment was really at 12, why didn't they call?
