On a yearly visit, they discovered that I was at a higher risk for glaucoma. They were able to work with my insurance to cover a checkup every six months, instead of yearly. She is an absolute joy and makes my appointments much more pleasant! She is truly an asset to their practice!

For as long as I have a worked in the medical field and have been a patient I have never experienced a doctor's office That refused to do their job. Such as; 1. The medical assistant and Dr. Beth Ann Svetland failed to provide basic and accurate documentation of my chief complaint and current symptoms during my initial and follow-up appointments. The lack of documentation later prevented my Workmans Comp claim to be approved. 2. The front desk kept ignoring my requests to call and confirm that my insurance was in network, and demanded that I pay the out of network costs, otherwise I wouldn't be seen by the doctor. My insurance was finally confirmed to be in network. 3. The back office refused to follow the instructions on the back of my insurance card, to call or go to the appropriate website to submit my prior authorization. I was out of my medication for almost 3 months, delaying the treatment for my recently diagnosed severe eye condition. 4. The manager simply covered up for her staff by lying about the progress of my prior authorization, aggreeing to charge me based off of my explanation of benefits while refusing to bill my insurance first. She defended their inappropriate behavior and showed absolutely no empathy towards my situation. A couple of weeks later I came into the office asking to speak with Dr. Svetland and the medical assistant who I initially saw, and about 4 more times again during my treatment. Since they failed to document any of complaints and symptoms until about the 4th visit, I wanted to see if they could recall any of the information that I gave them during my earlier appointments. As without any of that documentation my Workmen's Comp. claim would be denied. She stated the medical assistant no longer worked there, and that her previous notes could not be amended. Her solution was for me to see another doctor and "throw her underneath the bus" for not doing her job. 1 week later, during the middle of my treatment, I received a letter from Dr. Svetland. It said that she would no longer be my physician because "there are significant philosophical differences in our views of medical care and treatment. To make a long story short, I have been abandoned by my doctor in the middle of treatment for a serious eye condition. My upcoming appointments have been cancelled and I can only be seen for emergencies. They are refusing to complete any of the requested forms from Workman's comp, and I have been given barely a month to find another doctor. If this is what they consider quality patient care, then we have a problem! I can't be the only patient that has been neglected and tossed aside due to insufficient amount of staffing. I guess we shall soon find out!!!

I was calling to figure out my best options for re-ordering my eyeglass frames and lenses with updated prescription from a recent eye exam. He took the time to be sure we had the right prescription, found the right frames to reorder, figured out insurance, pricing/discounts, and answered every question I threw at him. While I did not intend to take up so much of his time as I'm sure there were also customers in store, I never felt rushed off the call. He was the most knowledgeable, friendly, informative, thorough, and understanding person I have ever encountered on a service call. For better or worse, being a type A with high expectations, I do not frequently make recommendations or give compliments unless they are truly warranted. I cannot say enough about the exceptional care Eder put into our call. Also, given the reasons I needed to get this order figured out and placed today, which I didn't even share with him, I want to sincerely thank Eder for his time today. I also want to express how fortunate For Eyes is to have Eder representing the company - congrats on an amazing hire! I went to For Eyes Bolingbrook since the place I would normally go to went out of business. My…read moreglasses had snapped across the bridge and I couldn't go to my ophthalmologist until Monday. When I went to For Eyes the man there (I didn't catch his name but it was around noon on 8/8/26) wasn't able to order me new glasses without the prescription, which is fair. Instead he was able to find me another frame that fit my current lenses as a temporary solution. Once I get my prescription I am going back for new glasses. They have a new loyal customer for helping me like that.

So then, I approach the front desk to pick up an online order and the manager at the cash register, Sheri, seems rather taken aback by my presence. She proceeds to collect my order and hand it to me, which at that point, not sure if she just expected me to leave without recieving a fitting check and cleaning, because she seemed like that was the end of the interaction?!! I proceed to ask her if they do not check fittings and measurements for new glasses purchased and she says "Well you have to tell me if you can see out of them." Like what?? Everytime I have purchased glasses from ANYWHERE, whether an online order pickup OR instore, the sales associate sits me down with my order, measures the glasses with some kind of instrument to ensure they fit correctly, cleans them, tightens them, etc. The fact I wasnt even offered that is crazy. Especially considering this was the MANAGER who was helping me. To add- I also brought in a pair purchased online that was delivered to me yesterday to recieve a proper fitting. Anyways, I put both of my glasses on, she says they look centered, she tightens them both for me, I ask if they have cleaning products, purchase them, and leave, feeling super taken aback by the utter lack of customer service. Why was I doing all of the asking and taking regarding my glasses purchases?! She just seemed totally indifferent to my presence, purchase, and the need for a proper fitting and adjustment to ensure my glasses fit correctly- because I recieved none of that service. Suffice it to say, this interaction left such a sour taste in my mouth. I will definitley not be back here nor give LensCrafters my business again. Im debating returning both pairs ordered and taking my business elsewhere. Recieving this customer service after spending almost $2,000 on two pairs of glasses is insane. LensCrafters - do better customer service training and make sure your managers dont act like their customers are an inconvience when they come in to recieve their glasses ordered. I'm grateful to be blessed with a number of things in life; decent eyesight, unfortunately, is not one of them, and so I rely on corrective lenses to see stuff properly. Many years ago I was a customer at a crappy PearlVision before moving (and upgrading) to a LensCrafters in River Forest. Relocating to B-brook, I found this eye care center conveniently inside the Promenade, right off of Boughton. Scheduling an appointment was easy breezy, and they called me a day prior to confirm. I showed up at the designated time and was greeted right away. Kasey was very sweet, she handled the first part of the eye exam ("see that red balloon in the distance?") before an older gentleman took over the more involved bits (including the tonometry test, a.k.a. tiny puffs that startle the bejeezus out of you). Joan assisted me with the financials, and aside from a slow computer at checkout, everything went smoothly. EyeMed insurance picked up $130 from the contacts and $59 from the vision exam/evaluation, not too bad. Contacts were delivered to the house less than a week after my appointment, and the temporary 1-day lenses they gave me in the interim were great. I find it hilarious that my previous LensCrafters in River Forest was listed on Yelp as '$$$$' -- the highest level -- indicating an upscale or "splurge-like" experience. I'll admit that LC isn't cheap, but it's far from outrageous and certainly not the uber-expensive place others have made it out to be. This location is marked as '$$', right on the money. * TL;DR * Start to finish, I was here for just over an hour with a nominal amount of waiting. I had good conversations with the staff, everyone was professional and polite. Last week, I ran into some problems with one of my Acuvue Oasys contact lenses, but it turned out to be an isolated issue (strangely enough, I never in my life encountered a defect with contacts before this). I'd planned on closing this one out with a joke about having "renewed 2020 vision", though that implies I have the gift of foresight and I seriously doubt ANYONE, soothsayer or not, could have predicted this totally f*cked-up calendar year. I'm just waiting for the Election Day asteroid to hit and render all of this moot.

I had forgotten what it was to see so crisply. He found new contact lenses that fit me comfortably. I was also able to find a new pair of glasses from his wide selection of frames. He has everything from very conservative to very avant-garde styles. They worked with my vision insurance and the cost was very affordable, even with premium frames and the highest quality contact lenses. Highly recommend.

I've had warby glasses for years and have really liked them. I've been less impressed with their sunglass style and value. I'm not likely to continue getting sunglasses from warby.

I responded to the email asking which excuse was correct. Are they delayed due to the lab or are they no longer able to get the frame. I asked if they could get the frame from one of the stores and they said no. I got in my car and drove another hour back to the store and the store still has the very frame on display. I showed them the frame and asked why it's still on the shelf and they couldn't say. This has been my 1st experience with Warby Parker and I don't plan on using them again.
