I receive excellent service. The doctor was on time. The eye exam was thorough. My eyes require a difficult prescription. I require prisms to correct double vision both horizontal and vertical. I need correction for astigmatism and bifocal. This is something most eye doctors don't see in their entire career. Once I receive my new glasses, I will edit my review to include my opion of the actual glasses. It will probably take a couple weeks for my glasses to completed. read more

I brought my teen in for a scheduled routine eye exam. Once the appointment got started, we were asked if my teen wanted their eyes dilated for the exam. Given the option, my teen declined the eye dilation. We were then informed that the exam would not continue without eye dilation. If this is a required part of the exam, we should not have been given a choice. Additionally, Jennifer Sitko berated my teen for not remembering that they had been told two years ago that they would need eye dilation at their next visit. It's unreasonable to expect a teenager to remember such information from two years ago. Moreover, as the guardian, I should have been reminded about the dilation requirement when the appointment was made if it was mandatory for the exam. Jennifer Sitko refused to perform the eye exam because my teenager declined the optional eye dilation. We will never return to MyEyeDr. read more

I had a Very Good Experience at this location, in Chesterton. I was greeted by a beautiful smile and attention to my needs by Alexia. She called me by name and stated it would only be a few minutes until I would be seen. Next I was greeted by Dana who was very kind. She explained the process and gave attention to detail. I waited a short time before being seen by Dr. Bassetto. He worked closely with my requests and listened to my concerns. MyEyeDr was not only the worst experience I've ever had buying glasses, it might be the worst retail experience I've ever had. The girl behind the counter looked bothered to see us, since it was a half hour before close and I'm sure she had more important things to do. When she found out I wasn't there to purchase that day, her attention started being focused on the other people who had meandered into the store. When I came back the next day and I told her that I was buying the frames and having the lenses put in elsewhere she said to me "well your insurance might kick this back to us since you're not buying lenses here" setting me up for their next move. I received a voice mail stating that my carrier had "denied the claim" and I needed to return the frames or pay for them in full. I called my provider and they informed me that MyEyeDr had never even filed the claim or attemtped to do so. When I asked them about this, they told me that corporate "doesn't even try" because it's not usually covered wo lenses. These people are LIARS and they tried to steal my money. BUYER BE WARNED!!! Dishonest practice. Awful service and attitude. If you like being treated like dirt and like being robbed, this is your place. I'll tell everyone I know not to walk in the doors of this place and I will post this review in every place I possibly can. read more
