I was told that I could not speak to him because they have a chain of command. I have never been told I could not speak to my medical provider. Lynette on his staff is the worst. Just think of it like when your GP/PCP (Family Doctor) sends you to a specialist for a problem.  Dr. Paris is a dental specialist - but I digress... *First off, the staff is extremely friendly, and you can really tell that they care, unlike so many other doctors and doctors' staffs have become.  You can usually tell how your experience is going to be just by the attitude of the receptionist (gatekeeper). The receptionist at Access Endodontics is very friendly and up-beat. I always just assumed that the Lidocaine shot had to sting just so that the dentist would know that he/she had hit the nerve, and therefore it was time to inject. I know it was stupid of me to think that, but Dr. Paris did prove to me that this was a myth. His shots are painless. I know that many people hate going to the dentist's office, however, as far as they go, Access Endodontics deserves 5 out of 5 stars.  With that stated, if you need an Endodontist, whether by referral or not, this choice is a no-brainer. I haven't been to either of the other two Endodontic Specialists in the area. I have heard good things about them, though.  However, on a personal note, what I do know is that when I WAS IN A HELLUVA lot of pain, only Dr. Paris at Access Endodontics would adjust his schedule to see me that week, whereas one of the other Endodontists "[would] be able to see me in @2-3 weeks." They also told me that if my pain got any worse to make sure I go to the ED at the hospital.  I said, "I didn't know ED doctors did root canals!!" Really - what good would spending a ton of money to go sit in an Emergency Room would have done, when I knew both the problem and the solution? Then I remembered something. Duh! They could not have cared less. Unfortunately, it gets harder and harder to find anyone in the entire medical field that truly cares anymore. I know there are so many healthcare workers out there that are amazing!! It's just hard to find you guys. I can literally count the good ones on one hand (out of all the doctors, nurses, therapists, etc., that I've met in the past 30+ years), and that's sad. But, I digress again... Doctors, in any field, are supposed to treat the patient, not the disease. This is probably why this is the longest Yelp comment ever. It feels good to write/talk/type positively about something/someone for a change. I'm sure that someone reading this has had horrific tooth pain at some point, so to all of you guys out there just know - he'll see you ASAP, and he's good. I had a disappointing experience at Houston Dental that I feel compelled to share. From the very…read morebeginning, I notified the staff that I did not want any hidden fees; I would rather pay up front. The dental hygienist used a Panoramic X-ray machine during my visit. She said she did not work there; she was there covering as a traveling hygienist. To add, the cleaning I received was not as I expected; it was over really quickly and did not feel thorough. I have had better cleanings performed in the past. Four months after my appointment, I am now being billed by Houston Dental for the X-rays, stating that my insurance did not cover them. Upon speaking with my insurance provider, they assured me it was due to a lack of transparency from the dental office. Someone in that office is not properly checking patients' insurance. When I raised concerns about frequency limitations and how they failed to properly verify my insurance coverage, Donna, Lineth, and the office manager, Brandy, made matters worse. They were disorganized and uninterested in addressing my concerns, but the real standout in terms of unprofessionalism was Britney, the manager. Instead of assisting me with my issues, she was dismissive and rude. It was frustrating to feel like I was talking to a brick wall when all I wanted was some clarity regarding my billing. I would not recommend this practice to anyone who values transparency and respectful customer service. There are plenty of other dental offices that offer both quality care and a more professional atmosphere. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

After being rescheduled time and time again (4 times) for an appointment at Kool Smiles (an…read moreappointment for WHAT, I do not know - supposedly, to fill a cavity) We decided to pay out of pocket for a highly recommended dentist. You may need to check for insurance coverage but in any case, Dr. Buchanan was worth every cent (which was reasonable) He took x-rays of my daughter's teeth and told us, "I don't see anything I would want to put a drill to". He was very patient and answered all of our questions and gave us information we had not even thought of asking about! I believe Kool Smiles may be drilling healthy teeth just to file an insurance claim! Dr. Buchanan is one of the best dentists practicing here in Columbus.

They consumed my dental for five years and now I have to pay out of pocket to get a new bridge and a partial. Since he put that fix bridge I came back three time to get it adjusted, trying to feel better with it and it never worked, it was just made wrong, and the third time I went there, I asked him to re do it and he told me it could not be re do for free that I need to pay and he was kind of rude asking "what else do you want". Not telling you that I cried when they put the partial with 2 big clasp in front of my teeth). I never went back but the consequences of a bad bridge got a toll on me: my incisive rotated (the bridge was pushing it), I developed a habit to play with those big teeth and ended getting lose my lower teeth, and it was a gap in the back of the bridge (it never adjusts properly ), and start getting decay. Then I had to make the decision that get another dentist and pay out of pocket for my fixed bridge. Yesterday I paid over $4000 because the insurance won't cover a bridge for me in 5 years. I am writing these with the hope to aware people in the area before they get a crappy service with Dr Tully.
