This is a deceptive distinction that costs patients money. To make matters worse, when I questioned this, the staff member was incredibly snarky, stating they "hope patients want to be seen regardless of network status." Most people use insurance specifically to manage costs, and being dismissive of a patient's financial concerns is unprofessional. I currently have braces on which mean I see and an orthodontist every 8 weeks he spends more time making sure I feel heard and taken care of which is more than can be said for this smith guy. I tried to tell smith tht I was having pain in my tooth I made a whole separate visit for this pain and once again was charged such an outrages price it made my head spin and in the end he said there is nothing wrong and when I had my orthodontist appointment I made sure to tell him about my problem and he immediately found what the issue was so clearly smith needs to do more to make sure his patients are getting actual dental care.
