It had good reviews and was a woman-owned business so I reached out to them. The owner, Brandi, contacted me and asked questions about the job, and I filled her in on my needs. She assured me that they would clean "surfaces top to bottom, side to side, in every nook and cranny". I had two calls with Taylor, my leading cleaner, on the day of service. I was supposed to receive a call at the end of the day to go over what was completed but I never received one. When I went to the house the next day, there were a number of items that hadn't been touched and the house wasn't cleaned per my agreement with Brandi. I shared pictures with Brandi clearly showing that the job wasn't completed. That evening, I was surprised when my credit card was billed for $355 for the job. I still hadn't had a conversation with Brandi. The second day after the cleaning, Brandi called and she told me that I would have to discuss this with Taylor, and she would have Taylor call me. I didn't receive a call that day and spent the weekend waiting for a resolution. On Monday, I received a text from Brandi that Taylor would call me after their morning staff meeting. I didn't receive a call until after Noon. I was receiving three more hours to complete some of the cleaning. Taylor focused on the walls in the kitchen. However, when I got there, I found cleaning solution on the floor, on moldings and walls. I found pieces of sponge on the floor, and ended up spending time cleaning that up. I reached out to Brandi again and still haven't heard from her. I can't express the complete dissatisfaction in the whole experience with Homemaid Cleaning Services. From the slow response time, to lack of communication with me (and between Brandi and Taylor), to the poor cleaning job. Do yourself a favor, and don't call Homemaid.

The fact that these to young adults are willing to spend at least a couple thousand dollars to fly across country, get a rental car, hotel, and pay for this class so they can be better technicians and better prepared professionals in our industry speaks volumes to me. These are not two people who just decided to start a cleaning business because they thought it would be easy, they started a cleaning company because they are passionate and they want to do it right. I've been in this industry for over six years and I've seen a lot of hacks and a lot of start ups fail. I really believe Mint Cleaning is going to do very well. All I know is that this cleaning job was too big for me because the status of my house was truly the equivalent to the medical term, Code Blue. So I had to make an emergency call to help save my house, (FYI, I did NOT call the real 911). I called We Get Down & Dirty! I knew by the company's name alone that they were just what I needed! We set up an appointment day and time for the following week. (I wanna share and acknowledge that if I needed them to come out earlier, say the next day, they would have done so). Anyways, we set a day and time for We Get Down & Dirty to come out and clean my house that following week. The day of "surgery" was finally here! The husband and wife team was PUNCTUAL,(I definitely noticed that because being late is one of my pet peeves)!! These 2 people came in and transformed my house, (one room at a time), to a HOME once more! Despite being a fairly new cleaning company, We Get Down & Dirty is truly one of the best! They were so kind, accommodating, and very professional. They brought their own cleaning supplies and equipment, which was a plus in my book. They clean the carpet in two rooms' which was included in my package. They even gave me a discount because of my disability, and we worked out a 2-part payment plan.
