We had an absolutely incredible experience with C Ponies, and I can't recommend them enough--especially if you're looking for something unique, meaningful, and truly unforgettable. What makes this experience so special goes far beyond just "riding horses on the beach." These are rescue horses--many of them coming from difficult or neglectful situations--and C Ponies has created something really beautiful by giving them a second chance at life. You can feel how deeply loved and well cared for these horses are. They are healthy, happy, and genuinely seem to enjoy their work. One of the most fascinating parts was learning that the water is actually healing for them. Being in the ocean supports their joints and overall wellness, so this experience isn't just fun for us--it's beneficial for them, too. That alignment made the entire experience feel even more special and ethical. Our guide, Raina, was fantastic. She had the perfect mix of humor (yes, some delightfully corny jokes), warmth, and knowledge. More importantly, you could tell she truly loves these horses and what she does. She made everyone feel comfortable, safe, and engaged the entire time. Walking the horses into the water--and even getting to experience them swimming--was surreal. Each horse had its own personality, which made it even more fun. You could tell they were relaxed, confident, and happy to be there. It didn't feel forced or transactional--it felt like a partnership between humans and animals. Living in Sarasota, it also meant a lot to support a business that is doing such meaningful work in our own SW Florida community. C Ponies is not only creating unforgettable experiences, but they are actively rescuing, rehabilitating, and giving these horses a life filled with purpose and care. If you're on the fence--book it. It's one of those rare experiences that stays with you long after it's over.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! Raina was an amazing guide, full of tons of information…read moreabout the bay, history of the ponies and nuances of each pony to better assist each rider. Would highly recommend! This is an experience you'll never forget. Thanks to Raina, Coral, Dori and Snooki.

The Sarasota Farmers Market is a year-round, Saturday morning market in downtown Sarasota,…read morefeaturing local produce, prepared foods, and artisan goods from over 70 vendors. It runs from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. & serves as a community hub with live music, offering everything from fresh fruits and baked goods to handmade crafts and international foods, while supporting local farms & businesses. I left with bags of beautiful tomatoes, Romaine, bananas, zucchini... the artisan, breads, and pastries were as beautiful as the flowers. Happily the farmers market discounts foods 50% with EBT card . We passed lots of beautiful dogs.

The market opens early and is probably at its busiest at around 9 am or a little after. There is a wide diversity of stores from those selling fruits and vegetables to those selling flowers, bread, honey, and even local farmed salt from long boat key. There are also numerous food and coffee stalls and generally a really good atmosphere. Prices are a bit higher than what you would pay at somewhere like Whole Foods, but almost everything is organic or locally sourced and you can find some unique items. I love Wardens vegetable market the most as they always have good local organic produce. Also autumn and winter are probably the best time to visit the market.

The shop is located in a shopping mall so there is plenty of parking. The shop is made for lunch. It is small and there is seating inside and out its not meant for a very large party. On a positive note, they have a multitude of seafood sandwiches and lunch options to enjoy a nice meal. I saw photos of lobster rolls on yelp, so I got the lobster roll. It was so good. Packed with lobster and the bread was delicious. My son and husband got the red snapper sandwich blackened with fries. We were also able to try their clam chowder (delicious) as well as their key lime pie (i am unsure if it's made there but it was very good). The cashier was sweet. The staff made sure that we were happy with the food and for a small cafe I can't ask for anything else. Great lunch spot especially if you want a feel for the keys or some delicious seafood.

We also tried the soups, including the New England clam chowder and lobster bisque, and both were excellent. Unfortunately, I ordered the ahi tuna sandwich and asked for it seared, but it was way overcooked. The tuna was cooked all the way through (brown throughout) and very dry. Next time I come back, I will not be getting the tuna, but definitely the lobster roll. I should of known better, based on the name of the restaurant, but I decided against my better judgement.
