There are cattails. Some wildflowers. 275 isn't far and the apartment complexes are visible and nearby for much of a wildlands experience, but water features, marsh plants, and looking for birds is nice. There's a small canoe launch. Seems to be a trail connecting into Oscar Scherer. I posted a photo of the map as of March 2020. You can take a look at the trail. Nice oasis and I see bicycle riders coming from surrounding area as well as visitors from further afield. Doesn't rank up there with the beaches and wilder preserves and more scenic preserves in the area for me but I enjoyed visit and am glad it's there. Be prepared for some bugs. I got bitten by a horsefly after my hiking buddy took a photo of it on me instead so I coukd tell them what kind of insect it was instead of smashing it..

Technically I al not even supposed to be sharing information on this park. It is TOP SECRET. But I know I can trust you. Just don't tell anyone else about it. Could easily have two spots but the parks peeps only one car visitor at a time. So unless someone who lives close walks over or someone else gets here first you will have it all to yourself. Bring your kayak / paddle board. Or just sit back relax and enjoy. This is as good as it gets!!!! Very close to Nokomis Beach. Lots more parking and beach access there, North Jetty Park which is past it (including a big playground) and both those parks have inter-coastal access for kayaking and paddle boarding opposite the beach parking areas. Nokomis Beach has a snack stand that is sometimes open. There's also a yummy ice cream shop nearby. And Captain Eddie's isn't far! Cafe Evergreen and Anita's too for the Greenies. You're welcome.

Pros: Safe, clean, quiet, boat docking, fishing, grass, sunsets, multiple benches, porta potty, bicycle and wheel chair friendly. Cons: The park is off limits to dogs, has no bathroom facility (although there is a Porta Potty), is over-fished, has no boat ramp and has no overnight parking from 12:01am to 6:00am.
