My boyfriend and I went on a personal tour with one of your sweetest tour guides, Susan, and she was amazing. She took us to three super cute locations: Patrick's 1481, Bevardi's Salute, and Brick's, and we finished with a gelato spot! All the staff at each location were really sweet, except for the hostess at the first place. But overall, the experience was still so good. We had drinks at all three spots, but my favorite was definitely the watermelon lemonade at Brick's. It even comes with a watermelon garnish At first they were out, but our sweet server Gerald made it happen for me, and I really appreciated that. After that, Susan went out of her way to show us a speakeasy around the corner from the gelato place. It wasn't even included in the tour, she just did it to be nice because she could tell my boyfriend used to be a really great bartender, which made it feel extra special. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would 100% come again! read more

We recently had the pleasure of taking the "Ghosts & Gruesomes" tour, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Troy, made this journey through Sarasota's history and ghost stories an unforgettable adventure. Troy is not just a guide, but a passionate historian with an exceptional talent for storytelling. Troy's knowledge and enthusiasm for Sarasota's history, coupled with frightening ghost tales, had all of us on the edge of our seats throughout the tour. Some of the stories even gave us goosebumps! We were impressed by Troy's use of pictures to help bring the characters in the stories to life. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Troy's friendly demeanor made us feel right at home, and the fact that Troy took the time to answer our questions and engage us in discussions about the area's history, added a personal touch to the experience. We absolutely loved Troy!!! We took this tour around Halloween, and my boyfriend and I added a little extra fun by dressing up as the twins from "The Shining." Troy embraced our enthusiasm and made the experience even more special. We even learned how to search for ghosts using our phone cameras, adding an interactive and thrilling aspect to the tour. The pace of the walk was comfortable for all, but I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing some exploring. Troy even thoughtfully took us to a lovely hotel for bathroom breaks and to purchase refreshments at the bar if we desired. Our experience with Sarasota Suncoast Tours went far beyond the tour itself. Sheila, who helped us book the tour, was fantastic. She was friendly, helpful, and kind. Due to some scheduling conflicts and dietary restrictions in our family, we couldn't book a tour before our Sarasota Suncoast Tours gift certificate expired. Sheila went above and beyond to extend our gift certificate by six months, ensuring we could enjoy this wonderful experience. Her communication and assistance were top-notch. Even my parents, who live in Sarasota, were stunned by the history in their own backyard. We all learned so much and were deeply moved by the experience. I am the Social Coordinator for Sarasota Newcomers Club. Recently our group has taken two tours with Key Culinary Tours. We went on the Halloween tour with Troy. The event was a huge success. Our members requested I schedule more tours through this company. Last week we went on a Scavenger Hunt of St. Armands Circle. This was another huge success. The members and I had a great morning finding clues through out the circle. It is a great team building exercise and fantastic way to meet with other members in our club. We did the Venice shark's teeth tour with Grace. She brought all the equipment we needed and laid out a nice blanket so we could sift through the sand and shells to find shark's teeth and other interesting finds. Rocky was a wonderful guide who helped us learn about interesting history of Venice, FL as well as introduced us to some of the local restaurants and shops. He was engaging and encouraged our questions. Our time spent was perfect and the Olive Oil shop and the Mother's Cupboard kitchen shop were wonderful choices for a place to rest before our next food stop! Our only improvement might be to have "lighter" options or fewer samples at the food stops so that we weren't so full at the end of the tour. Also, if the restaurants could provide individual portions rather than a shareable container for the group. The food was delicious and it was my first time to ever try escargot...not as bad as I had thought since I love butter and garlic! Our restaurant stops took us from France to Italy to Argentina and then back to the USA! read more

We did an Amelia Island Food tour with Susan. Absolutely loved our friendly guide who gave us lots of fun facts about Amelia Island. The tour allowed us to try 5 different restaurants in a short amount of time & we even got to go bags because we didn't "pace" ourselves Great way to see the island and experience several local restaurants. Just allow plenty of time to get there in season as there was a lot of traffic getting to the island. Will definitely do another tour with this co. Did the Sarasota Lunch Tour. We do food tours in every city we visit. This one was good. The most food I've ever had on a tour (almost full servings at 3 stops). Circo tacos were our favorite. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Only recommendation would be for more stops but with smaller servings to get more of a variety. read more

We did the Ghost and Gruesomes Tour with Tujon and had a blast. We were the only there on the tour which made it really personal, and Tujon shared a lot of history we did not know about the area. Unsolved murders, ghost stories, and a nice walk around the area at night was a fun way to spend 1.25 hours. He had photos to share, which helped us visualize the stories as well. Took the Key Culinary Tours St Armonds lunch tour yesterday with Denice as our guide. Denice made it so much fun. She is a great tour guide. The food samples at 3 different restaurants followed by desert at Big Olafs for ice cream were excellent. A a newer resident of Sarasota (4 years) I thought I knew much about the area but Denice taught me a few things. In the future when I have guests this tour will be a great way to incorporate a fun and informative lunch into their experience. Hope to do the V3nice tour with Denice in the future. Thoughts on Culinary tour "Tastes of Sarasota " The scheduling coordinator stated we would visit four restaurants. I thought the tour guide did a nice job of pointing out a variety of restaurants, and history of the area and it was nice to meet others on our tour. I believe the portions of the first and third restaurants were more hors d'oeuvere portions and the second was small plate. The last location was gelato not a restaurant at all. The drink package upgrade was not really worth it for us, since we went to locations that offered happy hour drinks. Although if you did not purchase a happy hour priced drink it may be worth it. We received this tour as a gift from friends for our move to the area. Not sure the value for dollar was there, nor would we recommend the tour, but we had a nice time and plan on revisiting two of the restaurants that we toured. read more
