However, I want to focus on Bob Benfield, the greatest bus driver and quite possibly human being I have ever met. This man, I believe, works officially for Christian Bus Tours, and I will put this review there as well. Bob puts his entire heart and soul in everything he does. He travels with mints in a basket, cold water and soda, which he wraps in paper towels for cold hands. He brought all the equipment needed to clean the whole bus. He travels with it. He has dad jokes a plenty but also vast knowledge of every place we passed. He drove through a terrifying snowstorm and we barely noticed. He's steady and pleasant no matter what, and this includes some creative city drivers. I was in the front seat and this man would see me take off my sweater and turn the temperature down. His life resumé is amazing and I could have listened to his life for hours. Simply the best person I have met. For Bob Benfield alone I give all his associated employers 5 stars.

I was a few months away from finishing Breast Cancer treatment so I wanted to make this happen for her since the last year of my time was spent in treatment and feeling ill. I knew it would be a tough expense but I wanted to spend valuable time with my daughter after having to undergo treatment and feeling like I couldn't be as present during that time as I normally would be. I logged on to Bob Rogers Travel and entered the group information for East Troy Community School District's Choir group. We had not yet been provided a finalized itinery and in fact, the itinerary changed several times over the next year. I signed us up in good faith and chose to add the travel insurance as traveling with children is always uncertain. Throughout the year I made my payments on time, reviewed itinerary changes each time and my daughter and I were excited for our special trip. After President Trump started the war and TSA agents were replaced by ICE workers, my daughter started becoming very anxious about the trip. She was worried that there was a chance of retailiation to New York City. She was afraid of ICE agents at the airport and was worried about the images of the long lines for lack of TSA and the possibilites of what could happen to New York City while we would be there. She was losing sleep, having anxiety and panic attacks at the thought of it all. Knowing my daughter, I was worried that she would have a panic attack in the airport or while in New York City that could impact the whole group or worse, require a higher level of care while in a city that we don't know. I told my daughter that it was up to her if she wanted to cancel the trip since I bought the travel insurance, I should get a refund. She took some time to think about it and told me that since I will get a refund, she prefers to cancel. I logged on to Bob Rogers Travel and requested to cancel my trip. I was then directed to go to Trip Mate to submit a request for my travel insurance. I didn't realize my insurance was through a third party. But I submitted my proof of cancelation, my documentation for my reasons, explaining that my daughter has anxiety and gets panic attacks, I provided documentation showing the travel warnings, etc. The website stated that it could take up to 25 days for a refund. I didn't worry about that, I felt confidant that I would get a refund and I saved my daughter much undue stress and trauma. Then I got an email stating that I would not be refunded. Unaware to me, there are very few and extreme circumstances when Trip Mate will actually pay a claim. I then messaged Bob Rogers Travel explaining my circumstances as well. Both interactions between Trip Mate and Bob Rogers Travel responses were rude and snarky. On Trip Mate, I filed for an appeal. I explained my situation thoroughly to Bob Rogers Travel again, since they are the one that I paid all of the money to for a trip that we canceled and did not take. I pointed out to Bob Rogers Travel that I feel their practices are predatory as they target tour groups and mostly schools. I as a single mother can not afford to lose out all of these funds for a trip that I did not take and I canceled only due to political agency and systems that are beyond my control. I did not realize the travel insurance was, in my opinion, a scam. I was not able to choose who they pick for travel insurance and I wouldn't have even purchased it had I realized the limited ability to cancel at any time. Reading through the policy is not easy and is very restrictive. I think Bob Rogers Travel knows this, which is why they pick Trip Mate, in order to get away with not giving refunds. Both of these companies are acting together in predatory practices to scam people out of their money. I'm a single mom, recovering Cancer patient with a daughter that was losing sleep and having anxiety attacks. It would have been negligent of me to force her to go on this trip. There is no reason why I shouldn't get a full refund. Not only that, but using an insurance company whose policies are so convoluted and difficult to understand is further upsetting. When purchasing airline tickets or other travel groups, it is clear that you can cancel at any time to get a refund. I wonder how many other single parents or families have been treated like this through these two companies. Not just the lack of refund, which is egregious, but also the rude responses from customer service. I wish I would have researched BOTH companies before signing up. Trip Mate also has terrible reviews and is listed all over as being a predatory company.

For the first time in our married life, my wife and I used a travel agent this winter to plan a two-week getaway to Spain. We'd previously vacationed in a dozen other countries after making all the arrangements (every detail) ourselves. This time, at the suggestion of friends who raved about their recent river cruise in Europe, we called the local travel gurus who made their trip possible: My Travel Agent. At our introductory meeting with Dawn R. we described what we were looking for, where we wanted to go, how we'd like to spend our time and how much we could afford. A good listener with great travel experience of her own, Dawn asked some pointed questions to further understand our priorities. We left her office satisfied with that first step, but anxious for proof of a suitable travel plan. What followed was a regular stream of emails and calls from Dawn and others on her team, each researching specific elements of our trip. Their communication kept us engaged, presenting us with available options to satisfy our preferences. As a result, Dawn presented us with a plan complete with daily details of our two-week, three-city excursion. Included were our preferred flight times and seat assignments, ground transportation connection details, hotel accommodations and local tour/activity reservations. Every element of our itinerary was documented: reservation/confirmation numbers, proof of advance payments; even local (Spain) phone numbers for our hotels, transportation providers and other vendors/venues. And perhaps most surprising was the trip's total cost, $2,400 less than we had estimated. We couldn't say no. In hindsight, much of the impetus for enlisting My Travel Agent was our acknowledgment that navigating foreign-travel planning has only gotten harder year-over-year. Certainly, there are more options available, but sorting thru them can be excruciating. Since a 2016 vacation in France, we found that transportation terms and conditions, lodging options, security restrictions, and a never-ending glut of "deals de jour" have made the research and selection process VERY time consuming. So, this time we avoided all that and, instead, enlisted My Travel Agent to sort thru the details required to implement a dream vacation. We couldn't be happier with our decision! read more

Dawn at My Travel Agent in Naperville, IL, made our girls getaway trip to Jamaica an absolute breeze! From start to finish, she ensured every detail was handled with care. Her inside scoop on private transportation to and from the airport and resort was a game-changer--it made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. What truly sets Dawn apart is her immense knowledge of all the various inclusive tiers of resorts companies and locations, her care for her client's needs, and her firsthand travel experience. She regularly visits and inspects the resorts she recommends, so she knows exactly what to suggest based on your preferences. It's clear she goes the extra mile to keep her clients informed and satisfied. Dawn is incredibly hardworking and always available to assist, even if an unexpected travel issue arises. Her dedication gave us peace of mind throughout our vacation. If you're looking for a reliable, experienced, and thoughtful travel agent, I highly recommend Dawn and her team at My Travel Agent. Dawn is wonderful. My family had previously used her services to book many vacations in the past and she is extremely helpful with her insights into the resorts and locations. With regulations and recommendations changing daily she was available and helpful in our decision to continue to continue with our plans. Dawn gave me several options & her advice on my honeymoon . We ended up picking Punta Cana and loved it. Our hotel was NH Royal, the service was great, the beach was beautiful and the food was good. I never heard of this hotel before her suggestion, the price was excellent compaired to other adult only resorts. It was great only to have to put a small deposit down to secure our dates. She was very professional and gave us suggestions on tours to take on the island. Oh ya, she called me prior to our departue and said the package price had dropped and we would be getting a $300 refund. I would definitely reccomend her to friends and family. read more

I have used My Travel Agent in Naperville for about 15years, they always get it right. They are a family run and owned agency. Dawn has most recently booked our trip to Hawaii. Since she has been to the islands several times herself, Dawn gave me the best information on hotels and their locations. I fell in love with Maui and can't wait to go back. The road to Hana was intense! The brochures and maps & suggestions were very helpful & put to use. We experienced no shows and poor response times. We were super frustrated with the entire process. Enter Lori. We found her on a destination wedding site and she piqued our interest. We set up an initial meeting and were sold from the beginning. She had solid answers to our laundry list of questions with plenty of material to back it up. She listened to our very specific wants and knew just where to direct us. On top of that, she got us some great deals. We started our process with a group size of approximately 40 guests. Now enter COVID 19. Our original date was 10/10/2020. We had everything in place from rooms to flights to ceremony. Like many COVID brides, we decided to pull the plug and reschedule for 2021. Talk about scramble! Finding times that will work for a group our size was a nightmare since all the other couples were rescheduling also. But Lori not only held our hands through the entire process, she went above and beyond to seek out every avenue to make it less stressful on us both mentally and financially. She worked day and night to move us and our group to the date we chose and emailed, called and worked our flight and resort vendors to make it as painless as possible for my people. We lost nearly half our group in the reschedule and due to travel concerns and Lori handled all of my friends and family members with grace and understanding. Lori is knowledgeable, honest and my most FAVORITE Lori quality is her response time. I would email her questions anytime they popped in my crazy over anxious COVID bride brain and she would almost always respond right away.
