Finding someone to repair a fiberglass/plastic water slide turned out to be much harder than I expected. I reached out on Yelp, Angi, and Thumbtack looking for anyone who could help. Most companies told me "no" or weren't interested in taking on the job. Then came Tub Pros, who were one of the only companies willing to say "yes." Jonathan arrived promptly at 9:00 AM, exactly as scheduled. He assessed the damage and spent about two hours repairing the slide. When he was finished, I was amazed. The slide looked as good as new, and you could hardly tell there had ever been a crack. Not only was Jonathan highly skilled and professional, but he was also incredibly friendly and patient with my dogs, who spent much of the visit barking their heads off. Gary was going to send someone to fix it, more than once, but it was always 60 days out before they could come. No one every called or came. I finally gave up and hired someone to come fix it. He said the only way to truly fix it was to sand down the cabinets and repaint. He fixed what he could without a complete redo. There are many places where the paint is soft, which is where, if they had sanded my original 20 year old finish, it would be fine. There was a problem with the color as Gary purchased the paint from a different vendor which was a lighter color. I paid for another round of paint and labor so I really feel ripped off. Now he has insulted me via text and private message, trying to bully me into taking down a Yelp review! Gross!

I requested an antique hutch to be restored. Thankfully they waived the fee. I trusted that they would do a good job based on their portfolio. They were accurate in their timeline for the completion of the project and the resulting hutch looks fantastic, I have no complaints there. The main reason I am giving this business two stars is because their communication leaves A LOT to be desired. I asked for progress photos as they were working on the piece in their shop. They never sent pictures until I had to follow up and ask for them. They knew ahead of time that they were going to need to deliver my piece urgently because they were going to need all the space in their shop for their next project. Yet, they did not communicate this with me until the very last minute, what were they going to do with my piece if I was unavailable for delivery when they needed it gone? That seemed like poor planning to me. Upon the initial quoting of the piece, I specifically asked them to not only have the main mirror replaced by their third party, but also have the antique locks repaired. I provided them with a key that fit the lock to aid in this process. They returned my piece to me with not only the lock issue not addressed, but also with one of the cabinet doors not fully functional (which is not how it was when they took the piece at the beginning). I had to report this issue after they had already left. It was only then that he recommended I contact his third party locksmith to resolve the issue. His recommended locksmith (Sav-Mor Lock & Key) has been completely unresponsive, and I can't find other locksmiths who specialize in antique locks. I then asked Haer where is the key that I gave them when they picked up the hutch, and it was only THEN that they told me they tried to test the key in one of the locks and a piece of the key broke off and is STILL currently stuck in one of the locks (they also didn't specify which lock they tested either). I am extremely disappointed and frustrated because I clearly specified all my needs before they accepted the project, and now I received an incomplete service. They have also stopped responding to my communications completely, which I find outrageous and irresponsible. I also got the impression that working on my project was a chore for them, as if I didn't pay top dollar for them to give me their best work. Again, in terms of their actual craftsmanship, Jose (who I believe did most of the work) did a great job. However, communication is a huge factor in determining who I award my business to, and based on my experience I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting them with another one of my projects.

We had a granite countertop installed in 2013 in a kitchen refresh. In 2023, the front edge of the…read moresink began to crack. By early 2024, it was getting bad enough to call in a repair service. Our choice then was not the right one. The owner of the company misdiagnosed the problem, and simply patched the crack with poorly matched epoxy and recaulked the sink for the low-low price of $700. The repair started to fail in 2025, maybe a bit more than a year after the repair. And...we let it go. For a looong time, because, you know, "Once burned...". Well, the granite kept cracking to the point where chunks were coming loose. That's when we started shopping for a different contractor. We called several competitors here on Yelp. Some were flaky, some indifferent, one refused to consider the job unless we replaced with quartz. Stoneshine was different. The receptionist I talked to right off the bat was professional, friendly, and helpful (sorry, I didn't get her name). She set us up with an appointment the Monday morning after the Friday call. Greg showed up on the dot to provide the estimate. He diagnosed the problem quickly and correctly (agreeing with other vendors I called) as being a problem with the reinforcing steel bar embedded in the sink front: it rust, expands, and cracks the granite over time. His estimate was $1500 for the repair, polishing, resealing the entire countertop, and recaulking the sink. OK, that's a big difference, but we sure didn't want to replace the whole dang surface! We went with Stoneshine. Like Greg, Raul showed up right on time. He set up quickly, got to work immediately, and put up plastic sheeting to keep the repair work dust contained to the area around the sink. The entire job took almost 4 hours. Raul did a pretty decent job matching the general tone, as you can see in the attached photo. He even put a couple of flecks of the crumbled granite into the epoxy to mimic the stone. The end result looks far better than the original repair. And it looks like it will hold up for more than 12 or 15 months. This was a uniformly positive experience with a clearly well-run, professionally oriented contractor.
