Me and 5 other friends of mine went here on 6/1 between 1730hrs - 1800hrs. When I walked in I told the girl at the entrance that we had talked to a manager (Gave his name) hours before coming up here, and that he had a spot for us reserved upsatirs for 6 people. She just asked how many people and if I wanted inside or outside. We eventually went inside. Then the waiter took our order, I made 1 change, but when he brought it out the order was wrong. I then asked the guy what was the cobbler, he said peach. I asked for 1 to go. When I got home It was not peach, it was black and my wife thought it was meat. One bite and then to the trash. The atmosphere was nice. Food was good but pricey. Interesting thing is that they have fire pits outside, but you cannot smoke cigars because of the artificial grass. I dont get it, so why have fire pits. Probably wont go back or recommend. read more

Main issue with this place is lack of restroom capacity. Long lines inside waiting for 1 of 2 toilets. Outside restroom is huge but very few toilets inside. Very family oriented. Spacious outdoor area. Lots of good parking. Bar area is fairly big and seems stocked enough. Food prices are quite high and seemed limited during FIFA, bit I am told there is a regular menu after the games are through. There are two food trucks on-site. Tacos and Pizza. Pizza was pretty good. Service is 50/50. Some said they were never helped after 20min and walked out. We went during FIFA and service was ok but not bad either. We were very excited to try this new place out. GPS sent us to what turned out to be the overflow lot. Still construction debris in the lot so be cautious where you park your vehicle. This entrance lead us to a side door near the bar. The place had maybe two tables of guest and staff everywhere. Yet no greeting when entering nor sign stating to seat yourself. We ended up sitting at a high top table and waited. Our server then came to greet us and offered menus. While we scouted what to order a male staff member began spraying bug repellent EVERYWHERE. Talking every entrance and opening he sought fit to cover in chemicals. This then lead into the dinning area and where we were seated. I tell ya, there's nothing like being covered in bug spray while sitting in a restaurant/bar. Thru the haze we ordered our food and drinks. The food is very overpriced and I would not recommend ordering during this "Watch Party Menu". Basically it's like $25 for nachos similar to Taco Casa. We also ordered a pizza from the outside food truck. That was actually decent and I would order/recommend that. Thankfully our server explained that this menu is temporary and that their normal menu is much better. First, let me say that I have mixed reviews. We went there Sunday with a large group of approximately 25. There was definitely plenty of room and although they do not take reservations, we only had to wait about five minutes as they set up our tables. The staff was efficient and excellent, and the food came out very quickly. They divided us into two tables. Our table was very pleased with all of the Meals. Unfortunately, because it was World Cup they had a mini menu with inflated prices. This is not a good thing for a new restaurant, wanting to impress their customers. Six people at our table had the Halton City Chicken Spaghetti, and loved it. The chicken was moist and delicious and the sauce excellent. Two had the hamburger and said it was delicious as were the fries. One had the Caesar salad and it was huge. I had the nachos, but I had had them before and it made two meals. I just wish they put the cheese on the top of the chips and use more of it for the money charged. The manager did say the high prices were because of the World Cup that they went to a mini menu and would go back after the World Cup was over. That's really too bad, because ........ It's a brand new business and the prices are way too high. The people at the other table did not like anything. One said the nachos were soggy and didn't have any cheese until you got to the bottom of the pan. Most of the chips were dry, except for a drizzle of sour cream and chopped tomatoes on top. Those that ordered the hamburger so it wasn't anything spectacular. When given the thumbs up or thumbs down as they left, they all gave the thumbs down so the reviews were mixed. $23 for nachos at lunch is too high for my budget. They do have a play area, outback for children and a huge TV screen showing the game. As a new business in Halton city I really want them to succeed but inflating the prices just because it's the World Cup does not make sense from a marketing standpoint for a new business. read more

The place was super busy when I visited, with a lively crowd that skewed younger but not college-party young. The first thing that stood out to me was the decor. They did a great job with the space, and the outdoor area is huge, making it a great place to hang out and enjoy an evening with friends. I was excited to see they have a stage, so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on their schedule for live music and bands in the future. Since it's conveniently located next to another spot I visit often, I'm sure I'll be stopping by again. The drinks were good, although a bit pricier than I expected for the area. Still, the atmosphere, energy, and overall vibe made it a fun place to check out. Headed out to the new My Stomping Grounds in Haltom City for a little Sunday Funday! The place is huge, with a sprawling outdoor yard, plenty of seating, and a massive stage that looks ready for some big-name entertainment. It's family-friendly before 9 p.m. and even has a nice playground tucked off to the side for the kids. Tip (I asked): if you get there with the kids before 9 and are still in after 9, you are good! If you try to get in after 9, they will turn you away. Since it was a hot day, we opted to head inside. The indoor space is well done and blends seamlessly with the outdoor atmosphere. Large open bay windows around the bar area make it feel like you're still outside while enjoying some relief from the Texas heat. While the air conditioning wasn't quite as cool as I expected--likely because the bay doors and windows were open--it was definitely more comfortable than sitting outside in the sun. We weren't there for a full meal, but we did order the trio with chips, queso, guacamole, and salsa. The portions were generous enough to share, and the queso was surprisingly good--it stayed smooth and creamy instead of hardening up after a few minutes. Inside, you'll find plenty of seating options, including tables, couches, pool tables, a few arcade games, and several fun photo-op spots. Apparently there's an upstairs area as well, but we didn't get a chance to explore it. One thing that did catch my attention was the indoor ladies' restroom only having two stalls, which seems a bit limited for a venue of this size. There may be additional restrooms outside, but I didn't notice them during our visit. A downside for some may be that they charge a cover on weekends or when live entertainment is scheduled. Food prices seemed pretty average, while drinks were on the higher side--but that's not unusual for a new entertainment venue. Overall, it's a fun spot with a lot of potential. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink, hang out with friends, listen to live music, or bring the family out for a few hours, it's worth checking out. My Stomping Grounds is the new standard in entertainment and sports bar destination! Attentive, cheerful staff, great food and the facility is without equal. Bartender Megan was a joy. Hardworking, engaging and funny! I realized that facility just opened their doors within the last 30 days. Respectful suggestions for improvement - The main bar needs a foot rail! Badly needed! - The men's room in the main indoor area had a waiting line most of the night. A urinal trough should replace the one urinal in the main bathroom. One stall is inadequate as well - There was a lot of confusion regarding repeated requests to put on the Stanley Cup hockey game on a television in the main bar area. It seems that only one person in the entire facility is knowledgeable on how to change the audio/video Equipment. I think that could use some improvement. Other than that, we had a fantastic time! We arrived at the facility at 4 PM and stayed a total of eight hours, enjoying great food and great drink! This is a MUST GO!! read more

First off this place is amazing, they have plenty of room for everyone. There's picnic tables everywhere, roomy wooden chairs if you don't need a table. The staff is great, they are friendly and attentive. The food is really good; we had a hot dog with fries, a hamburger with fries and I had a protein bowl with chicken that was delicious. They know how to make real Texas sweet tea. They had the FIFA game on then a band played which had great music they played a little of everything. There's also a play area for the kids. We recently visited Stomping Grounds for an adult birthday party with a group of around 15 people. Since it's a newer business, I expected there to be a few growing pains, and unfortunately the atmosphere did feel pretty chaotic and somewhat unorganized throughout the evening. It was extremely crowded, and you could definitely tell the staff was trying to manage a very busy environment. That being said, our waitress was wonderful. She appeared overwhelmed with the number of tables she was handling, but she remained kind, attentive, and did the best she could for our large group. I also want to mention that the owner, Felix, stopped by our table at one point and spoke with me about their pickle pizza, which apparently has received mixed reviews. Personally, I actually thought it was really good and a fun addition to the menu. My only suggestion would be to order it extra crispy, because with all the toppings it can get a little soggy otherwise. Once cooked a bit longer, though, I thought it was great. What left a bad impression on me was the way I was treated later in the evening. After returning from the restroom, I was approached by security and told I needed to leave the property. I calmly asked why and was never given a clear explanation. Eventually, I was told that a bartender claimed I had been "over-served." This confused me because I never once went into the actual bar area or ordered directly from a bartender all night. For context, we had been there for roughly five hours, and while I had drinks throughout the evening, I was not intoxicated, disorderly, or causing any issues whatsoever. In fact, I had been sitting and talking with friends for quite some time before even getting up to use the restroom. I was never argumentative, disrespectful, or disruptive. What made the situation even more confusing was that out of our entire party of about 15 people, I was the only person singled out and asked to leave. No one else in my group was approached or questioned. Considering the amount of alcohol being consumed throughout the venue that evening, I still have not received a clear explanation as to why I, specifically, was removed from the situation. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication and inconsistency. I was first told I needed to leave entirely, then later told I could stay but simply could not order more drinks -- despite not having had a drink for quite a while at that point. No one could clearly explain what behavior justified the situation. Overall, the experience felt very mishandled and honestly left me uncomfortable. I understand businesses have to make judgment calls regarding alcohol service, and I fully respect responsible serving practices. However, if you are going to remove or confront a customer, there should at least be a clear and respectful explanation behind it. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I do not see myself returning. read more

This venue is huge and offers and opportunity for the whole family to enjoy some time together. Obliviously it's geared towards the nightlife and sports crowd, with big screens located throughout. Large inside dining and bar area with some pool tables available. Fairly new to area and in the process of training the staff many of which are beginning their 1st job--be kind we all had to start somewhere. The lunch crowd was sparse so we basically had the whole place to ourselves- we didn't make it upstairs this time. Our server Madi did a wonderful job during our visit. I went with the grilled chicken sandwich and fries the wife had chicken tortilla soup with a salad, we shared a bowl of elote which missed the mark, certainly not traditional. We finished it off with Churros with cheesecake stuffing. The churros maybe a little much on the sugar, Everything else was fine. Based on the size of My Stomping Grounds seems like a great place to get together as a group and have a good Ole time together. read more

Cane by today on a whim 5/30 and it's opening weekend. Because of the talent and opening seeking, there was a $10 cover. That's not bad but it prompts you for a tip as you are walking in-Hard Pass! You can leave and come back as long as you have your bracelet! It is rather warm but there are lots of fans. It looks like they have misters on them but they aren't on. There is a lot of shade but honestly they need more during the day. Great open space for kids to play on turf. Three fire pits which will be great in the late fall/winter. Live music at 3:00, Christopher Wright, is pretty good and there will be more music into the night. Service was fair, we sat right up at the bar and made eye contact with several servers and we were ignored. Someone finally asked if we had been helped and she was great. Food came out super quick! The Big Bird was more bird than bun and that's always a good sign. It needed salt but was otherwise great! The fries were also amazing! Spiked lemonade was delicious and marg as well. Only reason why I'm leaving 2 stars is because it's harder to remove. If you are going to be asking for ID then ASK for ID for every alcohol purchase. When you ask one customer that's a 26 yr old and not a 17 year old kid that's Crazy. Hannah, I think was the bartenders name asked my brother and his wife for OD but didn't ask for a 17 year old kid. If that's even here name, I asked her and she wouldn't give it to me. And I even asked for her manager and she didn't respond. They serve minors that's all I'm Saying. We came here for the first time to watch a USA game. We got there a couple hours before the game and there was a live band on stage who were really good. It was a little busy but still some seats and we decided to sit outside. We got our first drink at the bar then a server said she could work our section. I was looking at the online menu on the website and ordered mozzarella sticks. I didn't realize that it was different on game day, she was busy so she didn't bring out a menu but it came out with fried pickles and jalapeños. I don't do spicy so my husband ate the jalapeños and he said even for him they had a kick! I had two game day cocktails I saw the menu when I walked in the front, after I ordered a Diet Coke and it took so long to come out, like 30 mins. So part of me just wanted to go order it myself I was so thirsty. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars cause I felt obliged to use the server, she was very nice though. Place was massive. It's a great space to watch games and has a huge patio where you can either bring your own chair or use one of theirs (rent?). The service was good. The parking lot and food were my only sticking points. The menu is limited and not better than an Applebees/Chillis. While the parking lot was well lit, they need to pave more of their lot cause it's dirt, poorly sectioned off with barely visible rope, and too many brodozers with poor parking skills. First time at this place last night and it was a lovely atmosphere, very very busy but the service was pretty timely and there's lots of amenities including pool table and corn hole. Food was okay, they only had the limited FIFA menu which we weren't aware of and so we couldn't get what we wanted. Our waitress later told us we could actually get the pizza, but we couldn't cancel our current order so it wasn't very useful. Poor experience. They removed their Happy Hour menu for FIFA, and the service was terrible despite the empty dining room. It took 20 minutes just to get our initial drink orders, and the waitress completely forgot our appetizer. Instead of taking accountability, she just made excuses. I really wanted to like My Stomping Grounds but this was a terrible experience from start to finish. When we arrived, we waited over 10 minutes without a single server acknowledging us. We finally had to let staff know ourselves that nobody had attended our table yet. Then my chicken fried chicken came out RAW literally pink inside. That alone is unacceptable and honestly dangerous. On top of that, they completely forgot my son's mac and cheese, and the fries didn't come out until AFTER we were already done eating. I understand they're new, but bffr. We've been waiting for this opening and the soft opening surpassed our expectations. From the food, service, staff, atmosphere - 100/10 . I can't say enough good things. This place is an awesome place to kick back and chill. The owner, Mason, is cool as hell. I went in for my birthday (6/2) to check the place out as it's just opened and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is open and fun inside. Outside there is a stage, table seating as well as cabana seating. There is even a small playground area for the kids to have fun. Well throughout design. The food was casual, but tasty and reasonably priced. My server, Tammy, was so friendly and engaging. They have activities almost every night of the week too. I highly recommend this place to one and all. I usually don't give 5 stars as there is always something to improve, but my first night there was exceptional. This will be my go to place all summer long. read more

My stomping grounds is something Haltom city needed! They thought of everything a nice big venue, outdoor & indoor seating, playground for the kids, a huge selection of bar drinks. The food is great different types of options for everyone's liking! The accommodation and dedication to bring the community together and have a nice relaxing space is a nice feeling! The staff is very hard working and attentive I will be coming back ! It's sad to hear some of the bad reviews for a place that hasn't even been open for that long I would say not to believe everyone because most are quick to say things they don't like before they say things they did like. read more

We had a party of 12. I understand big party but couldn't tell us how long it would be. Kept seating people arriving parties of 8 and refusing to put tables together. Young hostesses didn't know what they were doing and kept rolling eyes when we asked how much longer it would be. We waited a hour and a half and left because we were hungry. Never again will I go to that place and recommend you don't go either if you have a party more than 8. We were the only ones on wait list for inside or outside. Parking also sucked. Hostesses should retrained to treat guests without rolling eyes or fired. read more

The vibes were on point. We sat outside near the playground and the corn hole. The kids played while we listened to the live music. The waiter was very friendly. I do want to mention ordering is kinda confusing because the waiter can only take your order for some things and others you have to go up to window for. If your familiar with truck yard it's similar to that. Just a lot bigger and more kid friendly. Came to watch a World Cup game, first impression is wow this place is busy- they had a line of vehicles ending on the service road and apparently a traffics director. I ended up parking at the holiday inn to avoid the 10-15 minute traffic line to park. Once I walked up to the front entrance they had staff telling us to go through the back entry. Well they didn't mention they had 6 city police officers yelling at us to go home or we would be arrested or pepper sprayed once you walk around the building. Now I understand large crowds and meeting capacity however they need to handle it better. Literally anything would have been better than having hostile cops yelling and threatening their client base due to management "fucking up they went over capacity" -cop. Idk Might be a better experience after the World Cup ends. Oh and the screen had multiple occurrences with tech issues they were able to resolve quickly. I'll try again in a few months maybe.
