My Spice specialises in a range of spices, salad dressings and a range of oils.
The range is pretty small but they do have some interesting combinations designed for specific cookery requirements.
The first time I tried one of their spice boxes was when my mother bought one to cook some sirloins one sunny early summer weekend.
The 'New York Steak' seasoning was made up of a combination of dried herbs and spices, designed for a range of steak seasoning. It came with a little book explaining what went best with what.
Inside was oregano, thyme, seasoned salts, chilli, dried tarragon and some other peppers. To be honest it worked out well. The flavours all balanced well and complimented a quite frankly disappointing piece of meat. That said, £10 for a box is a bit ridiculous. The herbs were probably worth a quid tops and the box was made from cheap wood and wasn't particular presentable.
If you need help getting the correct seasoning and spice mixes for your food then give it a try but I'd suggest a little trial and error yourself. read more
