This Non-Profit helps dogs that are chained up, by giving them a spacious enclosure and getting them "off the chain". They are non-judgmental with the owners, only looking to better the welfare of the dogs. They have a FB volunteer page where you can sign up to assist with the builds. All their build supplies come from donations or from buying their shirts/hats. The build staff is wonderful, and you don't need to know anything about putting up fences to help jump in. Most builds take about 1-2 hours and are closer to the Athens area of town. Each build consists of making a spacious fenced-in enclosure, with one area designated for sleeping (it also has a canopy for when it rains and area for shade). A water bucket is provided, igloo home, dog cot, food and toys for the doggie. I had the opportunity to do 2 builds thus far and volunteer helping run a table at a one of their events. You get the hang of it after one build, and you meet some wonderful people in the process. Also, the dogs seem so much happier once they get into their area and can run around freely. If you're looking for a way to give back and love dogs, this is the perfect opportunity! Most builds happen 1-2 times per month, and typically 9am-12pm Saturday or Sunday AM. The building is a large single floor building with push doors. The store was buzzing with volunteers organizing donated items. This large thrift store was extremely well organized and the premise was clean and neat. Donations included: clothing, houseware, shoes, artwork, jewelry and so on. Donations were in good condition and clean. The aisles were wide and clear-making them easily accessible to anyone with a cane or wheelchair . The store is one level--no steps or ramps to navigate. On this day, a sign on the door promoted 1/2 off. They don't do this all the time so watch for signs. I purchased a lovely print that I am very happy with. The volunteers that I spoke with were helpful in answering questions and assistance. All proceeds stay in the community supporting local services. There was a chart behind the register showing the percentage of proceeds going back to the community which was impressive. Check for hours of operation (they closed at 2:00 today). Cash is appreciated. Personally, shopping at places like this is fulfilling in so many ways. I find a bargain, save something from a landfill, and support local services and economy. Win-win.

After all these years of searching, I feel we found a great Bible teaching, welcoming, and community focused church. We have quickly been able to connect with the pastors and their staff, and feel comfortable to ask questions about the church and their vision. The church is easy to get to off of 400 Exit 12.

The kids loved venturing out into all of the different areas and playing. It kept them busy the whole time. Truly interactive and enjoyable. We have a 6 month old baby and she crawled around in their small play space for the smaller babies. I will say it did say to remove shoes but lots of bigger kids were just running wild through this space with their shoes on and it was a bit much so we didn't stay playing in there long for fear our little would get trampled. Nice to have an area for babies in theory, but without someone running the area it's just not being respected which again is more on the parents supervision (or lack there of). Overall a good experience and we could come back.

I had to pull my son out of the daycare unexpectedly due to some unfortunate circumstances with his new teacher. And let's just say I haven't received one phone call from the DIRECTOR about how my child is and if he is doing okay. Not one! The assistant director and the infant teachers have all reached out on the subject but not the new "director" I would have recommended this place through and through a couple of months ago but unless they do some hire up changes I wouldn't come back. PLUS THEY DECIDED TO RUN MY CARD WHEN MY CHILD DOESNT EVEN GO THERE ANY LONGER.
