I am so broken hearted. My Place has been my favorite place to eat for the last 35 years. My husband started working at Gracedale in 1990 and was told that it was everyone's place to go for lunch. After taking me there it was word of mouth, and soon it turned into groups making it the hot spot for lunches. My church group went there recently, and I left very upset. Everything I liked about the place had changed. New owners, new BLACK menus, (How ridiculous), you can't even read them. New prices! You can't just get a hamburger if that's what you want, now you have to get fries with it. Our bills were double what they use to be for the same food. How dare they ruin it for me! Our people certainly will not be back!! Time to find a new place to go while I sadly watch them run MY place into the ground! read more

Best milkshakes in the area!! On the server's suggestion I got the soft ice cream (vs hard ice cream) and the shake came out nice and creamy (not runny or too thick). I got a chocolate shake with peanut butter sauce mixed in and it was DELICIOUS!! My friend got vanilla extra thick and it came out very thick (hard to sip up the straw). $3.13 each. [Better than Shut The Door in my opinion.. much creamier and tastier. Last time I got extra thick from STD it was runny, and they close early sometimes]. We really love the cheesesteaks. They are fresh, good size and a great value. They come in half or whole. Their fries are also good. The Stromboli was also really good! Just moved back into the area, this place use to be really good when I was in high school. My wife and I ordered out, we called in our order at 702pm Friday night, we were told 15-20mins. Well we went to go pick it up, and we didn't get our food til 755pm. So yeah, that really irritated me. We finally got our food and got home. My wife got a slice of pepperoni, it was horrible. Cheese was rubbery looking, and it just had no flavor, and there was hardly any sauce on the pizza. My wife was disappointed. Because that's all she wanted was a pepperoni slice and she didn't want to eat it because it wasn't good. So needless to say you pissed off a pregnant women and made my life hell for the night, so thanks! And I got a California cheesesteak, now from what I remember these were the best in the area. This place confuses me. When the pizza is good, it's the best in the area. But when it's bad (which is probably about 40% of the time), it's really bad. An entire sausage pizza has hardly enough sausage for a single slice. Their white pizza will sometimes have almost no cheese, which I find strange considering that's the only thing on the pizza. And now lately, they've taken a liking to messing up my order with increasing frequency. A few months ago, I would have rated My Place 5 stars, but I've been losing my faith in them as of late. Our friends & I are new to the area so, I checked Yelp for guidence. All I can say is , "wonderful food". I had the individual pizza with mushrooms, it was a wonderful crisp crust, nice & cheesey & a very generous size for 1 person. My girlfriend had the lasagna . She reported that it was just wonderful. A nice meat filling & a very generous portion. Her partner had the eggplant parmesagn. It was cooked just right to his liking. We all had the house salad. Lettuce, tomato, a pepper ring with croutons & ranch dressing. It was generic but, all was super fresh. Service was fast & friendly. We shared a piece of coconut cake. It was moist, fresh & tasty. I just wish it was not as cold. I think if it was room temp the flavors would be more intense. read more

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years now. Seen their kids grow up from when they were very little! We were last there 4/26/2016 and ordered our favorites: 2 large cheese steaks with fries. Disappointed to say the least! We noticed that there is a new menu with new (higher) prices which is fine....but don't charge more and give less. Our cheese steaks seemed to be missing a lot more meat then we were used to. On the bottom, looked like each half had one thinly sliced piece of cheese under the meat, "Skimpy"! My cheese steak, the one end, had only about 1/2" thickness of meat and the same end there was about 2" of nothing but empty roll. Again, "Skimpy"! By the way, the restaurant was NOT busy at the time that we were there. Also,.....about two months prior to this visit, I ordered the chicken parm dinner. It was fantastic! Great tasting and the portion was very nice. I noticed why this was. The owner was cooking that night! A week or two later we came back and I ordered the same chicken parm. And when it came out, I looked at my wife and said...."what's wrong with this platter"? tasted good but the portions was so much "skimpier" then what I had a few weeks prior. And I noticed that it was a younger guy cooking that night, not the owner. What's my point? **if (any) restaurant is going to start charging more for their food, (fine), but don't start giving less! **a pet peeve of both my wife and I when we like to patronize a certain food spot is the "LACK of consistency" which we have been noticing in this restaurant as of late! **Finally.....there are a zillion pizza places all around us. And I hate to say this but right now, MYPLACE is not putting out the BEST when it comes to the CLASSIC cheese steak, etc., and is "LACKING consistency"! read more

My place is the pizza and dine in restaurant that we use often. It's amazing how all tables are full almost all the time. Haven't eat inside yet but mostly pickup pizza to the home.
