Great pizza! Great hoagies! Great service! This place made my trip to Pennsylvania even better.

From a New Yorker Perspective it's Great pizza! It is however expensive for two cheese pizzas over 30! I think due to the location the price is high and the town is small. read more

Sure am glad that sub shop in Jim Thorpe didn't allow on site dining because this place is the bomb. Ordered a large Steak Special & fry to split with hubby, the portions for the price is amazing. The sub was overflowing with tender steak, mushrooms, onions & sweet peppers on a fresh baked roll, the sauce was sheer perfection. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and served piping hot and bonus points for the pickles. The staff is super friendly and there's lots of room to dine inside. We're visiting the area for the weekend and will most definitely stop back before heading home. We stopped by Saturday night for takeout - Stuffed Shells that came with bread & an Antipasto Salad for $12, everything was absolutely delicious and huge portions once again. read more

first time going prices weren't amazing but I live in the area and I am well aware of the cost of living and the price is understandable. I plan to go again I got a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and it is probably the best I've ever had i would highly recommend it!!! read more

They have received to many health code violations for my liking! I no longer go here do to that! They were passing while it was a town run inspection, as soon as a REAL inspector comes in They fail twice in a row! Plus they are very snotty and rude. Their daughter drives horribly, to fast and running stop signs. The whole family acts like they own this town! read more

great food great people highly recommended the staff is respectful and food out in time

We had chicken fingers and fries both were very good and plentiful. We also shared a pizza with sausage and pineapple (not my typical choice). The pizza was hot, tasty and done exactly on the time they said to make our pickup. The staff was friendly and welcoming. read more

Wayyyy overpriced! The food is decent at best not worth the money they charge. They used to have the best food around before their kin (Paula & her husband) left to open Basili's in Hometown. Food has been sub-par & overpriced since. read more

I don't know about their pizza but their steak sub rock. Plus my wife's grilled chicken salad was out of this world good. She said that you could tell the chicken was fresh and that they marinated it with the salad dressing read more

Poor attitude by the workers. I felt like I was bothering them. The food lacked taste and luster.

This is an amazing place to go for some authentic Italian food. We got pizza, chicken tenders, and subs and they were amazing! Some of the best we've ever had. For those of you who know where Jo Jo's pizza in Hummelstown PA is, this place is as good, if not better. We would highly recommend eating here! read more

Awful customer service. No napkins or fork with my salad. I ordered a small salad and was charged $6. See picture. After asking about this the people didn't care. Just shrugged and looked away. Too bad they lost a customer that spends close to $100 a month there. read more

On a getaway to the Poconos to attend the annual Split Rock wine festival and stayed at a quaint little B&B in Jim Thorpe, I found this gem. the owners, Bill and Nancy, gave me great recommendations during my entire stay. While I thoroughly enjoyed all of the local eateries in Jim Thorpe, I had a hankering for brick oven pizza and there was not one available in the town. Nancy came to my rescue and informed me about this place, only a few miles up the road, that she and her sisters really liked to go to for their weekly book club. I had no trouble finding the restaurant, as the front of the it was visible from the main drag (FYI, the main entrance is on Ridge Street, which, I am told, was once the thriving business district of the town). The building was big and under construction at the time I was there. I learned from one of the owners, Sal, that they had recently purchased the abandoned hardware store that was previously next door on the corner, and that they had plans to turn it into a parking lot. I immediately thought this was a great business decision as I had parked on Ridge street next to the bank where I had to feed the meter. As I walked in, I noticed the murals on the wall. I approached the counter to ask for a menu (as there was none on display), and first encountered Sal. He looked strikingly similar to one of the persons depicted on the mural on the right wall, so I had to ask if it was him. He responded enthusiastically that the mural was based on his favorite pilgrimage, when he and his brother Mario went back to Sicily to see his ancestors. During our conversation, I noticed the brick oven. Sal informed me that the brick oven was built by his father, Marco, back in the early 1960s when he first came to Lansford. I could tell that Sal took pride in this. So, naturally, I asked him what his favorite item on the menu was that he would cook in the brick oven. Garlic knots. I ordered them immediately. Then, after taking a look at the menu, I also ordered the pita pizza, as I had never had anything like this. As I sat down to wait for my food, I saw several "colorful" locals who were drinking a beverage out of a milk-like carton that I had never seen before. I finally worked up the gumption to speak to one of these locals and he informed me that it was a local brand of iced tea called "Guers" (sp?) and that it would be the best thing that ever happened to my mouth. I immediately grabbed one from one of the numerous stand up coolers. I picked up the garlic knots (no servers) and brought them back to my table and opened the iced tea. It tasted like an excessively sweet Snapple, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could tell that the knots were cooked in the brick oven - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Sal's fresh garlic oil was the best I have ever tasted. Next, came the pita pizza. Do you know what that is? Because I sure didn't. It was a double layer pizza, crust on top and bottom. The middle was stuffed with various cold cuts, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar. Unconventional, untraditional, but unique and fantastic. After dinner, I wanted something sweet. An Italian ice would have been perfect, given the weather. Unfortunately, they did not have any dessert offerings. Sal, being genuinely helpful, suggested that I walk across the street to the local Turkey Hill to see if they have Luigi's in the cooler. I was very appreciative. I always like to see business owners promoting other local establishments. Even though there was construction going on, the place was impeccably clean. Despite the colorful locals, I would definitely come back to see Sal and Mario. Their enthusiasm, candor, and all around decorum sold me. If you are in the small town of Lansford, you should stop by to experience this gem in the rough. Bon Apetito! read more

My husband and I eat here or order from here every week or bi weekly and we never have an issue. The food is consistently good. Today we stopped in to have lunch. My husband had the lasagna and I had the stuffed shells. He absolutely loved his dinner. My stuffed shells were as filling and delicious as ever. Definitely will be back. read more

We used to buy pizza there all the time. I even told Sal on several occasions that his was the best pizza around. Last two times I was there I noticed that the recipe had changed. The crust was awful, and there wasn't much cheese on it. Overall it was really bland. If he found cheaper ingredients he won't be saving money because I've heard complaints from others regarding the pizza. Also, the cheese steaks are practically meatless and way over priced. It's too bad because it's a really nice local place with nice people. read more

My family has been dining at Marcos for years. The family is lovely and the food is always good.

We used to get pizza here from here all the time when I was a kid, but that was 25 years ago, and the quality has gone down considerably since then. The portions keep getting smaller while the prices keep going up. They don't bother to keep the burgers on the grill to warm the cheese, so you get a warm-ish burger with a cold slice of cheese on top. The salads I've had are mostly the white pieces of ice berg lettuce, and the buns are always so over toasted you can almost break a tooth. read more

They keep raising prices while cutting down on portions and quality has seemed to come down too. I might just start to drive a little further for a better value. read more

My granddaughter ordered food this evening for us. I requested a BLT hoagie with no mayonnaise. My wife wanted an Italian hoagie. My BLT came on toast and apparently they don't understand no mayonnaise, because the sandwich was slathered with it. After the delivery came we had to call and get them to send the Italian hoagie out that never made it past the phone order. This is not the first time it has happened with order problems, but as far as I am concerned, it will be the last. I won't be ordering from there again. read more

I've lived near Marcos for over 20 years now. We could eat here all the time. Pizza, pasta and subs are all great. Owners are great people. It's a genuine Italian family running the place. It's the only place in town where you can get a 6 pack. Unfortunately you will pay for it. Pricing did hinder my full 5 stars. But highly recommend Marcos! read more

We have ate here a handful of times, and every single time the food is horrible. The only reason I continued to order here is because besides Cabrera's, it's the only pizza place that delivers here. This time was the last time, my boyfriend got sick, the pizza tastes like chemicals, the cheese steak was rubbery. Worst meal ever, I'd rather starve. read more

They have good food. But most of the time my order is wrong. Like no Onions on my cheese steak.

Best pizza in town and the service is fast as well as friendly. We love the white broccoli and ricotta pizza.
