Very Clean, (I usually have some cleaning to do for my satisfaction. Towels stocked but short on washcloths. Staff is very friendly except for the distinct, terse interaction with a staffer who did not smile and made a face and gave off the energy that she did not like interacting with me. As I sit in the lobby and write this, I see that she finally smiled at a fellow employee. Perhaps she had a bad interaction with someone, but it IS Very important to not "Transfer" a bad experience to other guests. I like to stay Positive and Optimistic. She appears to be a Supervisor or Manager and that is important. I have created restaurant and hotel concepts and opened over 6 new locations and trained entire staffs and management, so I am well versed and experienced in systems, operations, Guest Services and Relations. I recognize and train with an Emphasis on a VERY Important FACT: You're Guests are the LARGEST marketing tool and potential long term relationship and word of mouth, especially in this age of social media goes a very long way. USE IT WISELY and with Absolute "Authenticity" - Most people Suggestions: Offer Half & Half Creamers or large half and half bottles with pumps and the standard raw sugar that EVERY coffee house has like Starbucks, other hotels and make sure that if you are offering hot water (like was offered here) that you have teabags (Herbal is a must in addition to the black tea) as there were no teabags in site. Keep the cleaning staff voice volume at a reasonable level (some people traveling like to sleep in, even on weekdays) and I don't like to squash people's happiness and enthusiasm, 8:30 in the morning is a little too early to have a higher volume than necessary - especially since they were in the hallway going from room to empty room while guests have yet to check out. Overall it was a very good experience and I DO recommend this new brand but they need to be careful of the franchising model in states like California, because if an operator does not live up to the Brand standards they are subject to "Right To Work" laws, and the necessity to pull the rights from a poor operator are almost impossible. Would recommend "Licensing" in those states, as licensing has no labor laws that operators can have their attorneys use to continue operations that could create problems. Licensing is powerful for both the Brand and Operators as the Higher Standards assure that both parties as equally satisfied and supported. read more

I have been charged for a day I did not stay despite cancelling it on 6/30/26 at 7am for the July 2, date, well before the 48hrs deadline. After sleeping here 1 night, I knew I did not want to stay the additional date. Keep in mind, I added the additional date when I checked in on 6/29/26. At that time, I was told by the manager, Ravi Thiara that I could cancel it if I chose not to stay as long as it was 48 hrs. notice. On the 2nd night, while trying to run a bath, the water shut off completely. The shower handle was open all the way and the water just stopped! I was not able to take a bath. Called the front desk on my cell phone (no phone in the room). The front desk told me "That happens when a lot of people shower at the same time" and the clerk hung up. They did not offer to send maintenance up and did not make any suggestions for a resolution whatsoever. The road/highway noise is very load. Windows are not insulated. You will not get any sleep here. They do not provide daily room service, and only offer fresh towels and toilet paper upon request. Most importantly, they charge a "transient tax" at a rate of 11% per day. This was not disclosed to me when I booked the room directly by phone. I found out about this tax after I had already stayed one day. My rate was $15.24 per day. During my stay, I asked the front desk clerks if I can speak to the manager, and I also called the front desk several times and left messages for the manager. The clerks told me I could not speak to him, and that they are only allowed to email the manager or leave post it notes on his door. This tells me he lives on site, but is not accessible to his staff or to customers for that matter. To date, the manager has not returned my messages or calls and never addressed my concerns. I have filed a fraud investigation with my bank. I am also contacting the Nevada Attorney General for fraud. I was only supposed to pay $561.33 for 3 nights with Pet Fee. They charged my debt card $881.64 the day before I checked out for 4 nights with pet fee. Find somewhere else to stay! I booked this because it was pet friendly and had a kitchen. Nowhere in the booking process did it show the pet fee so I was shocked when I got that extra charge. My dog was at a doggy day care three of the days and overnight but they wouldn't work with me. On check in I tried to add friends names to the other two rooms I had booked for the following day and the employee said I had to be there to check them in which made no sense. It took me talking to two other employees but finally, they let me check them in. Crazy! It's like only one person who works there knows what they are doing. The room was relatively clean but the dispenser that had shampoo and conditioner was completely empty. Then the second day they were there, I walked into a maintenance man in our room with no warning. He said he needed to work on the sink and then told me he couldn't fix it and we couldn't use it. I've emailed the hotel several times to try to get some compensation and no response. read more

I wanted to give this place more than three stars, I really did. On the positive side, the rooms were extremely clean, probably one of the cleanest I've ever seen. Unfortunately, as someone else pointed out, the walls are paper thin. The first night here, it was noticeably loud in the room above us. Lots of stomping, running, etc, I've heard worse but it was bad enough that I had to turn on the fan in the room to drown out the noise. Same thing goes for people out in the hallway. Thankfully, things were a bit quieter the next two nights. The other downside to this hotel is that they provide you with a stove, microwave, and fridge to cook, but absolutely no utensils (other than plastic cups) or cookware. Very bizarre. Beware fraudulent charges after your stay! This hotel does provide a comfortable stay. However, when I noticed an extra charge on my credit card statement, I called to inquire. They stated it was a smoking charge. Neither of us smoked, so I stated such. They said it was weed. The other party I was with does smoke a little, but only in designated areas. I smelled weed smoke when we first entered the room from the previous guest and assumed the cleaning staff missed it. On the phone call the person said I should have reported it immediately. I didn't think of doing so - didn't see any notice requesting this. This bogus "smoking charge" is $300 and not warranted. We are honest people and did not smoke in the room. We have filed a dispute claim, but meanwhile, beware of illegal fraudulent charges! Do not stay here! read more

probably one of the worse hotel experiences I have had. Got there early thought we would check to see if we could check in early. Just thought we might try. room wasn't ready, ok but front desk gal was so rude. still cleaning, again ok but didn't need attitude. No free breakfast like a lot of places have unless you pay for it. menu on line no prices. No daily maid cleaning service unless you want to pay for it. The nightly price wasn't better than anyone else. I requested an accessible room thinking a handicap as I have back issues. To them It meant lower tub and bed? I am thinking walk in shower. Wonderful hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice. Two pieces of feedback. 1) I wish they had a pool and/or workout room. I think that would add to the appeal of an extended stay style hotel. They do have a laundry room. 2) I wish our room had been cleaned more often. Room 211. Handicap accessible room. The bathroom is pretty good, accessible, with a sturdy built in bathtub bench. The bed however, was a torment for my partner, extremely soft, and very low. His wheelchair is a foot higher than the surface of the mattress while he was sitting on the edge of the bed, and there were insufficient pillows. When I called the front desk to request more pillows, so my disabled partner could have a minimum of comfort and support, I was informed that not only were they not going to give us any more pillows, but they didn't have any extra. There is a kitchenette, but no dishwasher, utensils, glasses, dishes, etc... The room had a roll of paper towels, almost empty (12) and sufficient t.p. Better than nothing, but we will never stay at a My Place again... read more

I give My Place Carson City a 4-star with prejudice. In a market with more options it would be a 3. But, for the limited pet-accommodating Carson market, they get a 4 in spite of the exorbitant surge pricing. It's probably the nicest and easiest place to stay *with pets* in Carson. I stayed twice in the prime summer market in order to manage my move out-of-state from Dayton. It was comfortable but honestly, pricey even accounting for the season. I probably could have luxuriated at the Whitney Peak in Reno for less than what I paid. But...it's Carson, not Reno. Pros: *Super friendly, knowledgable staff. *Comfy rooms and mattresses. *Pet Friendly. *Nice hang-out patio. *Convertible desk is fantastic to migrate between work and a place to have dinner. Cons: *Pet fee. *Room lighting is bizarre. (Only one side of the bed has a lamp and no way to manage overhead lighting. It's all or none.) *Quite stingy with the linens and toiletries. (Really? We're staying 4 nights and I'm worried about having to go ask for a roll of toilet paper?) *They don't enforce no smoking by the entry doors. *It's a standard room with minimal upgraded amenities (for the short-termer) to justify the premier pricing. *Like most hotels, there's no escaping pounding feet on the order of an elephant stampede from the rooms above. Hotel was extremely understaffed and cleaning team lied about rooms being done and signed off while the room was not being cleaned from previous guests. Pizza boxes, beer bottles, towels and piss stains. Check in was at 3 p.m. and I did not get to my room until 7 p.m. and J saw all that. The only saving grace that I did not give it a one star was Michelle. She was the only worker who was present in the hotel. Under this disasterous situation she did her best in cleaning the room herself, finish the checking in and make sure we get compensated for this delay. She finished cleaning around 11 p.m. which was the time I finally "checked in" my room, 8 hours after the supposed time. Room was nice but really a terrible job by janitors. read more

I checked in yesterday and staying because of the current Tamarack wild fire going on in Alpine County & Douglas County. Sadly all the hotels are taking advantage of the demand and shamelessly price gauging! One night price here was $330! Ok I was so happy to see on the website they have kitchens and a huge fridge with stove top, coffee machine, microwave and toaster. After I checked in, I was disappointed no dishes or utensils provided. No cooking pots/pans, no coffee filters, no coffee..... so kitchen is useless. The receptionist told me I had to "turn on " the ice maker in the freezer. Well the switch was broken and I can't turn it on. I asked if there's anything they could do, they said no. No other ice machines in this hotel. No breakfast provided. You can purchase breakfast and they deliver it to your room. Room was semi-cleaned. I found hair in the sink and bathtub. My beautiful wife and I checked into the My Place Hotel in Carson City, Nevada on 3-20-2024. From the moment we pulled in the whole stay was a nightmare from start to finish. We walked in to check in and there was nobody at the front desk. We waited about 25 minutes and this man who closely resembles Lurch from the Addams family appeared reeking of marijuana said he would check us in. He was obviously having difficulty checking us in and was swearing and cursing under his breath saying he did not want to do this anymore and that he hates his job. My wife and I work hard week after week and when we finally get time off together we do not appreciate people with pretty obvious bad life choices ruining it for us. I reminded Lurch we booked a 2 queen bed with a recliner room. After figuring out his computer problems he informed us all the 2 queen bed rooms with recliners have been checked into. With no apology for the mixup he says he has a 2 queen bed room without the recliner available. We should have left but I convinced my wife to take it. Our reservation was for three nights 3/20-3/23. We should have left because the room was terrible!! Yes, my place hotels says the room has a small kitchen with a stove and a full size fridge which is true but they do not tell you no silverware or pots/pans/cooking utensils are provided. There was 2 queens beds in the room as he said there would be but he did not tell us they are the two most uncomfortable beds known to mankind! Both beds were harder than a rock and had even harder springs in them! Sleeping on them was extremely difficult and challenging to say the least! The shower situation is even worse! The hot water does not last long at all! No anti slip mat in the shower and barely any towels/ toiletries! The shower head is not the removable kind and looks like it's from the 1970s! The shower head was covered all sorts of stains and hard water spots! Totally gross and disgusting in this reviewer's opinion! The walls between the rooms are paper thin! We could hear everything going on in the next room! We could hear everything from their phones vibrating, every conversation they were having to them having intercourse with the lady yelling out hit me harder and pull my hair to her loud moaning and especially the climax of of it all when she orgasmed she was so loud I'm sure the whole hotel heard it! After all that they played music very loudly for the rest of the night. Clearly my wife and I did not get any sleep that night. I called the front desk to see if they could get the neighbors to quiet down they said they would talk to them but nobody ever showed up! Since I could not sleep either could my wife we kept looking out the peep hole to see if anybody would show up and nobody ever did. We ended up sleeping in our vehicle for a few hours the next morning. After all that I convinced my wife to stay one more night. The second night was not as noisy but still did not get any sleep on those uncomfortable beds. To make things worse the in room air conditioner stopped working and was only making a strange sound. I again called the front desk and they said they would send someone to look at it nobody showed up once again. After the second night we both have had enough and checked out at 4 am on the third day. There was an older lady working the front desk and we told her why we're checking out. She acted like she did not care about our horrible experience. I told her I wanted a refund for the third night she whined and complained about us wanting a refund but finally gave it to us. We drove across the parking lot to the Hampton inn and suites and talked to a man at their front desk explained to him what happened to us and he was appalled by our experience as we were. I told him I am a disabled war veteran and he gave us a room for the last night for under 100 dollars. Our experience at My Place Hotel was beyond miserable! I would not recommend it to anyone! There is a reason why My Place Hotels is called the Spirit Airlines of the Hotel Industry! I would give 5 negative stars if I could!! They definitely do not deserve even one star but it is the lowest yelp goes. Take my advice and stay as far as away from this hotel! We will never be back!! read more

This hotel impressed us more then expected! We were here for a one night stay (our usual spot was fully booked). When checking in the staff was so kind and welcoming, Courtney is fabulous! The room was spotless, big, and came will a kitchenette, microwave, and full-size refrigerator / freezer. I read some of the other reviews on here and have to say none of the concerns others wrote about were a problem for us. We had amazing hot water / water pressure - my husband, daughter, and I all took showers in a row without it ever getting cold, and our bill reflected exactly as it showed online. I would 10/10 recommend staying here and will definitely come back! read more

My husband and I stayed here for a night last weekend. It was so nice! The exterior is really nice and the decor was very well thought out in the lobby, etc. The room was great for what we needed; kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. All perfect for us! The bed was comfortable, views all around of the mountains was actually pretty amazing. We actually brought laundry along, and the facilities were nice and clean and their little "convenience store" in the lobby was super handy. The staff was great and all very friendly; James is a gem! We would definitely stay here again! I'm only giving 4 stars as although they are pet friendly, there is not any area on property to take your dogs out to do their business. All surrounding landscaping is filled with sharp-looking and jagged landscaping rocks. We were walking across the side street between My Place and the Hampton Inn to a dirt area next to an empty field. In speaking with other guests, they were disappointed by this as well and we got told a couple of times by said guests that they were told they could go over to Hampton's grass area in the front of their property. We stayed here for the Bowers Mansion Bluegrass festival. It's a clean hotel and the lobby has plenty of snacks, individual serving cereal boxes, milk, frozen breakfast items. The rooms, 2 queen size beds (and another with 1 king and twin sleeper chair) had engineered wood floors (a nice plus!) and kitchen. Be aware that the kitchens do not come with any dishes, utensils, cooking pots, etc. But we didn't need any of this. The rooms were a comfortable size. Dogs are allowed, and they are $10 or $15/pet (I can't recall the exact price). read more

We were pleasantly surprised by this location. It was our first time at my place and we only need a space for 1 night. We assumed for the price there were gonna be some cons but freaken plot twist! This has been one of the more nicer hotels that we stayed at. the Fully functional mini kitchen impressed me. AND A MICROWAVE. Super clean and attentive check in staff. From the General Manager down this place needs new management. I have been here 14 days and was told that I could not get my room cleaned because the housekeeper assigned to clean the room called out sick! If you don't constantly check your credit card you will be billed for ???? and then when you go and ask you get the "I don't know I can't see that on my screen!" A guest asks for the BBQ utentsils and are told someone must have stolen them. Well go to Walmart and buy some more - if you have sign saying you have them -- then have them! The fully functioinal kitchen on a previous post? What the heck -- there are no dishes, silverware, kitcheware, just a stove top! The young girl that works the evenings is fabulous -- need to promote her to General Manager - she gets it! When I checked in it took them 30 minutes to get someone to the front desk -- then the girl was so rude she kept heckling one couple they walked out telling the rest of us good luck! Overall review: Decided to try this new hotel out in Carson while visiting family durning Labor Day weekend. Price was ridiculously high for what you get. Dog pee on the corners of every corner of the lobby, no dog accommodation no pee/ rest areas near by and no doggy bags or anything pet friendly related. We checked in on Thursday before the holiday and was given the second floor room, walls are paper thin. You can hear every single movement outside your door. Rooms were very basic; loved the full kitchen even tho this wasn't used during our stay. Lamp charging station did not work but we made due and didn't complain about something small like the charging station. Safety: they have a variety of people who stay at this hotel for long stays. They leave the side access door wide open which leads to the stairway. Stair way smells like pure cigarettes and weed. Anyone can enter through there and to any level floor without a key card and bypassing all hotel staff Staff issue: Our last night at the hotel before our long 8-9 hour drive home we were woken up from our sleep at 2am due to someone on our floor banging on doors and shouting and blasting their phone speaker. We were hoping this would only last a few mins however the noise and shouting was getting louder and due to the paper thin walls it started echoing in our room. I called the front office and there was no answer. I left a very detailed message stating the noise and the time. A few mins passed and the shouting and door banging continued I called again and one of the staff members answers I stated I'm in room 219 and was cut off and told she is taking care of the issue. I thanked her and hung up the phone, the shouting and banging stopped from outside the hall way but now the shouting and music blasting at now 3:30 am was doubled. I called the front office again! No resolution, we decided to just check out early with only a few hours of sleep. While checking out I mention I was double charged their system was having issues and I wanted to be credit 1 out of 3 nights due to the inconvenience. I understand there is no control over the noise or issues others cause, but I paid over 200 a night to be away the casino bar town area for this purpose. Customer service is key and felt ripped off on that last night. If I wanted to be woken up all night by drunk crackheads I would have spent 60 on a motel and not over 200 per night. I spoke with Jennifer which she stated she was the general manager and isn't allowed to credit me one night even for our inconvenience. She stated they have no control over who they rent rooms too and can not credit me a night. Beyond disappointed, and have lost my future business and referrals. She should not be a hospitality manager and will be reaching out to hirer management to solve this issue. read more

I'm leaving a 3 star because the room was clean and the staff were friendly. Otherwise I'd one-star this place because everyone was smoking weed. She went above and beyond in finding me a room last minute as my work needed to keep me close by while being evacuated by a wildfire. I would definitely stay here again. This hotel was mediocre at best. I was quite disappointed considering the cost. Although I was satisfied with the cleanliness, it lacked in other ways. Since it is a place that represents extended stay, one would expect a few plates, perhaps even some silverware to eat with. Keep driving do not stay here. My checking account has been charged several hundred dollars a day and has pushed my account into the red. I actually called yesterday and was told it was my bank and not them (which is not true) and that they cloud not do anything about it. Which I found out was also not true because I got up this morning and found another charge for over 300 had hit my account driving it deeper into the red. And of course I get from the front desk I have never seen this before. I have over 1900 on my account for a room for 5 nights stay. Trust me this hotel is barely worth the advertised rate let alone 380 a night. Definitely keep driving no matter how tired you are. read more
