I cannot believe it took me this long to make the commitment. First and foremost I feel so much happier on an ongoing basis. This I was not expecting. Of course I feel stronger with more energy as well. Secondly, it seems like every time I start a committed fitness program I get injured. I am so competitive with myself, and in my youth I was so invincible. Of course as I age, and I still play tennis quite a bit, my joints do not bounce back as quickly. So when I first started with these guys my meniscus tear on my knee starting hurting a bit. They quickly changed my exercises and I was able to continue with no pain. I am now back into the grove. There are so many times I tell them I would not be there if I did not have the appointment, or I would have stopped 5 reps earlier if I was doing it on my own. I so recommend weight lifting and a personal trainer for everyone. It is the key to a positive outlook on life and a strong and healthy body!

I joined My Personal Trainer over a year ago for health reasons. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. My physician had put me on medication; however, I had to stop due to a bad reaction to the medication. I had to do something to keep my bones strong. Prior to joining My PersonaI Trainer, I was at my nieces wedding when my knee gave out while dancing. I was very embarrassed when I fell to the ground. This was not the first time. My knees have been locking up when getting off my bike; which is extremely painful. I did not want to end up being sedentary in my retirement years (21 more months till I can retire-not that I'm counting). There was an article in the Women's Journal written by My Personal Trainer; which was just want I needed. I joined My Personal Trainer. It has been over a year of twice weekly strength training with machines and a trainer. Last month I had to have another bone scan; which is required every 2 years when you have osteoporosis. The results came back, I no longer have osteoporosis! I am so excited to know that I am reversing the osteoporosis, thanks to My Personal Trainer. In the past, I have had issues with my shoulder, and was referred to physical therapy. I have had issues with my knees, again referred to physical therapy. I have issues with my back, again physical therapy. Each time it was stressed to me that you have to strengthen the muscles. Physical therapy was helpful, but I need something all the time. My Personal Trainer is the answer. Only 2x s a week for 20 minutes is something that is quick and successful. I currently live in a senior building and observe how many seniors have to use walkers. I want to be able to walk without any help for a long time. I want to enjoy my retirement years that I have worked for. I will continue with strength training. Thank You Eric and Staff at My Personal Trainer. read more

Let me preface this review with the notion that I hate to exercise!!! I am a sedentary person by nature. Therefore, if My Personal Trainer's regimen can work for me, it can work for anyone. When I signed up, I was told that I would only have to spend 20 minutes 2 times per week lifting weights with them along with following their dietary instructions (which for me was just staying within a caloric range and drinking enough water since I already eat "cleanly" and am very particular about what I put in my body.) I am beginning my 3rd year here and I have done only that! Within the first year I lost over 40 pounds, and I have been able to maintain that for this past year. If the trainers would have told me that I would have to attend 3-4 exercise classes per week when I first started the program that would have never worked for me. I will always find something better to do then attend an exercise class for an hour 4 times a week. But how can you not work 2 - 20 minute weight-lifting sessions into your week? Another plus to this place: you have to schedule an appointment so it's not like showing up at a gym where all the machines are taken and you have to wait an hour just to start your routine. Plus, the appointment makes you accountable to someone else who will call you if you don't show up. No excuses allowed here! Most importantly, these trainers know what they are doing. Most, if not all the trainers at this location have a degree in exercise science. So even if you don't want or need to lose weight, but just want to be stronger - this is the place for you! read more

I have been going to My Personal Trainer for about two years. I go to their Broadview Heights studio. I LOVE it there! The owner, Eric, and all of the trainers are very nice and motivating. They push me farther than I would ever push myself. When I started exercising there I could not even walk unaided. As the result of a stroke I had to use a walker. I was afraid that they would not let me join the facility. However, Eric told me that "anyone who could get in his front door he would work with". And work with me they did! I was not even strong enough or flexible enough to get my legs onto the machines by myself. So the trainers helped me to do it. They are also very willing to work with any medical condition. After I joined I had to have a few joint surgeries, (a total hip replacement, a knee surgery, an elbow surgery and two surgeries on my fingers). They extended my contract for any time I missed, without me even asking! I also love that they work by appointment only. There is no waiting around to be able to use machines, like I experienced at other gyms. If anyone wants to get stronger, more flexible or loose weight I would highly recommend My Personal Trainer! read more

I went here for a year before I moved and it was spectacular. They really hold you accountable. To the other person's point where they were not accepted, they told me right up front they don't train everyone who walks in the door. They interviewed me before deciding they would do business with me. Thats NOT bad business it's smart business. You can't help someone who won't help themselves. If they decide you have a bad attitude, little or no drive to be successful, or any other reason they don't have to do business with you. I like it better that way. It gives you a feeling that you both are a team working towards you goals together. As far as billing goes I've never had an issue, I had a year contract and moved before it ended and that was it, I never had an issue. The staff was fun and always challenged me for the better. I just learned of their new location near me and I plan to join. Other trainers are not only more than double the price but also don't have the accountability they do. 5 stars for sure. read more

I was a client in 2011 and will soon be rejoining. I can fully attest to the personal attention I received from all the staff at the Broadview Heights location. They are committed to truly helping any individual with weight loss and strength training. They enjoy their job. You can see that as soon as you walk in the door. Loosing weight is an emotional transition. They were all so extremely supportive and encouraging throughout. There was a short period of time where I had to miss my appointments and Eric worked through my schedule with me to make up the sessions. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to loose weight or tone up. The appointments make you accountable to be there. Then the staff will take over and work for you; with encouragement, laughter and a positive attitude. read more

My Personal Trainer has been a huge help to me and my husband! Without their support we would not have been able to drop the weight we needed to, to get healthy. My husband and I love the fact that we can schedule our appointments on our own time and can make sure our workouts are convenient for us! The staff at the Broadview Heights location is so supportive, and we wouldn't know what to do without them. They always ask to check our food journals and make sure we're not going overboard on sodium or sugar. They keep us honest in what we eat, but are also encouraging and don't make us feel bad if we have a bad day. With this program my husband has lost over 80 lbs in 10 months, and I have lost 60 lbs. I highly recommend this program, but especially this location! read more

I've been with MPT for almost three years now. I joined because I know that strength training is important, but it's just not something I know how to do on my own. I wanted the accountability of working with a trainer - that's exactly what you get here. My goal was to get stronger and maintain my health. I think the biggest change was to my diet, watching what I eat and eating "cleaner." Overall I'm very happy with the results. I still think you need to do some cardio (outside of your twice-per-week strength training sessions) so I walk quite a bit and try to get my heart rate up. The only complaint I have (and it's kinda silly) is the parking lot - I hate driving in that parking lot! I try to schedule my appointments when it won't be so crazy. read more

I love going to My Personal Trainer and look forward to working out only twice a week. Everyone is very friendly and encourages you to reach your ultimate health goal. I was looking for a program that would give me strength, positive bone density results, weight control and of course be time effective. I found all this and more at My Personal Trainer in Broadview Heights. It was hard for me to carry a 24 pack of water with two hands. Now I can carry one in each hand if I desire to do so! My doctor was impressed with the improvement of my bone density and wanted to know what I was doing. Cardio is hardio but man this is cardio on steroids. I've been looking for spicy new workout…read moreregimen and not only do I get to burn hella calories (I would estimate at least 500 calories per 45 min) but it's a nice way to let out some stress after a crazy day at work. This place is starting to become a second home. I tried a few classes (first one is free) with a friend and before I knew it, they had a black Friday Sale and bought a year unlimited pass. The sales person was also the instructor that day and he was not pressuring at all. He wrapped my hands up for me and went over all the basic punches before class started so that I would be prepared for how the class went. So the basic format of the class is a warm up, 9 rounds of 3 minute boxing intervals then core. You can leave anytime without shame. Class times I've seen as early as 5am and as late as 8pm 7 days of the week and even a lunch time class. Classes can range from as little as 30 min to 75 min. Not only are their just boxing classes, but there is also kickboxing, strength training, personal training and MMA! I will say there are some instructors that are better than others in my opinion and some who play better music to get you pumped than others as well. Some teachers are more motivating than others, none are military and belittle you, they are all to get your mindset to work harder, which I appreciate. Inside also boasts some workout apparel, bottled water to purchase, plenty of locker space, separate male/female bathrooms and changing areas. Want to warm up? There's tons of medicine balls, dumbbells, kettle bells, bench press set, pull up bar etc. Things to bring: water bottle (they have water to fill your bottle there), towel, hand wraps (you can buys some there) and gloves (you can borrow a pair from them for your first class). Also if it is a bad weather day, they ask you bring a second pair of shoes for inside the gym and leave your snow boots at front of the gym. So there are at least 6 other Title Boxing gyms within 20-30 miles from me and I've only been to Highland Heights since it's close to my boyfriend's house. Shares a parking lot in a mini strip mall so plenty of parking! I tried once to go the one in Ohio City which does not have a parking lot so you have to park on the street. I could not find parking after 30 min so I ended up just going to my own gym to work out. I tell everyone about this place and have gotten a ton of friends to try this out. Maybe I should ask them for a commission....Gotta run, class starts in 20 min.

I came with a friend for my first ever boxing/conditioning class, and boy did I get a workout! If you're new, the first class is always free - just bring $5 for a pair of hand wraps (in a variety of colors!). You can borrow a pair of communal boxing gloves and set yourself up in front of a punching bag. Remember that the gloves are COMMUNAL, so they're not the nicest smelling things. However, I was assured that they Lysol wipe them down as best as they can in between uses. After filling out a check-in form, one of the staff members wrapped my hands and showed me the basic punches. The class itself consisted of cardio, strength, and 30 minutes of boxing with the heavy bag. A water bottle is highly suggested, as you do get breaks in between rounds. If you're one that waterfall sweats, you might want to bring a small towel. And if you don't like lying on the ground for core exercises, bring a yoga mat. There's a lot of jumping during the workout, so it might not be the best option if you can't do high-impact exercises. Most of the clientele the evening I went were young adult to middle aged women, with a few men in the mix. Everyone was pretty nice but did their own thing. This was absolutely preferable to me because I'm pretty sure I looked like the court jester for the first 30 minutes of the class (and probably the last 30), but I definitely felt the workout for the next few days. Our instructor was fast-talking since most of the attendees were repeats, and it was kind of hard to see her through the grid of bags, but you can pick up the movements by watching others around you and there's no flack given if you don't do everything perfectly or have to modify a move for your comfort level. If this gym were closer and not so $$, I'd probably come here at least a few times a month. Definitely something to check out for people wanting to up their fitness game and try something different!

I was able to comfortably learn how to get into a routine and I never felt judged in this gym. Even thought I never did personal training, everyone who worked here was very kind. I remember a specific time when they got a new hip thrust machine and I wanted to try to figure it out but I just could not, a personal trainer spent around 5 minutes explaining how it worked and correct form and everything. I'm in The Ohio State marching band and I always need somewhere to go when I'm home on winter break before big bowl games to train and Accelerated has always been helpful when I come.

A friend asked me to try out the 5:30am, early morning Adult Body Conditioning class with her (they have several other times as well but this time is the only one I couldn't make an excuse for!) and ever since then I have been HOOKED! Not only does this class give me more energy throughout my day and more confidence in my body, it does wonders for the mind and spirit! Somehow... I wake up 4-5x's per week and drive 20 minutes to what I refer to as 'my therapy'. The workouts are never the same and the trainers are amazing; working closely with each person on perfecting our form for the best possible results. Everyone is beyond supportive and motivating and as a bonus, I have made so many new friends here. Finding this gym has ignited a fire within me and I now look forward to starting my day on the right foot.... NEVER thought I would say this but 'Early morning workout people', I am now one of you and finally understand why you do it! ****I HIGHLY recommend giving Pro Sports Performance a try to see for yourself!

I love this gym compared to my old gym because classes are almost never booked up and I can usually decide to go about 15 minutes before any class and there are available spots. They validate parking if you park behind Plum market. They have tickets right beside the door when you enter. They're always offering different discounts and if you're considering getting a membership, I would definitely ask for a Cleveland Clinic employee discount if that pertains to you or see if they have any offerings coming up within the next few weeks because it tends to be around a monthly basis
