I used YouTube to review what the repair involved, and realized it was beyond my ability to desire to do the repair. The same car had the same repair before, and the bill was $164; at first I thought the $661 was pretty expensive; then I noted that the $164 repair cost was in 2018, so the higher cost could be a reflection of the increased cost of EVERYTHING since then. The check engine light came back on. I called them and asked if they would look at it again. I never said I wanted anything done free or that I was upset (I had been to multiple places to see what was wrong with the car and needed up finally getting the engine replaced ) they told me to bring it back in. They had it for a week and I had to call them for them to give me my car back. When I arrived. The gentleman told me I didn't look like the guy that dropped it off. (Weird) then gave me a few estimates. They were for replacing parts of the sensors and the ptcm. It was expensive so I told them I would call to set up appointment. When I called they told me they couldn't compete the estimate because "there are bolts on your car only the dealership can get off." Which ford said is not correct. They just didn't want to do any of the work.
