He told us that he did not want to rush our visit. How amazing is that, we were late not him. I have had some good doctors in my life time but never with such great presence. Even though my husband did not have his medical records with him he assured us that he rather assess his medical history based on the medication he was on and his questionnaire of my husband medical history. I looked at three other doctors portfolio's on line but i never read through anyone of them. I kept coming back to Dr. Wadhwa every time. The spirit in my heart told me not to look any further, his portfolio spoke to my husbands medical condition and after meeting him I knew we made the right decision. I'm filled with so much joy knowing that we made the right decision and that we both will be well taken care of but Dr. Wadhwa can lead us to the water but he surely can't make us drink it, therefore we must do our part as well. There were times I have to contact/ send her a message thru patient portal and she always responds quickly. I just had my Annual Physical done which I need to have some lab drawn there's a laboratory next door and I also have a great experience with their service and staff. The results came back so quick and received a message from the PA the next day regarding my results. The receptionist told me they would reschedule my appointment because they had this 5 minute rule (they showed me the sign on the desk to prove it, or to rub it in because it seemed like the lead receptionist enjoyed in canceling the appointment) This receptionist also argued with me when I asked to speak to a manager and even threatened she wouldn't cancel any future appointment. Who's the boss here, the receptionist or the doctors? I spoke to the manager and she was of no help. It seems like this office thrives on bullying the customer. Customers keep them in business. It's like biting the hand that feeds you. (MY CAT!) So my appointment was rescheduled for hours later (keep in mind my hand is still in pain, infected and swollen. I guess no one cares if I lose my hand to infection.) I met with a nurse and she was very friendly and sent me off with antibiotics. I was better in about 2 weeks. It is like two different world's at this office. The front office is like a 3rd world country type of customer service, and the back office is like what people think America should be- First world civilized country wanting to take care of you. To add, when I left in the elevator after the first appointment was canceled another patient from the waiting room agreed with me. They said the customer service is ridiculous. I wonder how many others think the same. Running a business is difficult. The easiest part if taking care of customers-it is if you actually care about them. Then if you are a few minutes late, they completely cancel the appointment and you have to reschedule-2 more months away! Everyone I know who is a patient there prefers going to urgent care over FH. Now they charge a $75 fee for the "privilege" of being their patient! I think they got too big for their britches. Patients don't seem to be the focus. I am actively looking elsewhere. My friend was also a patient for decades but had a male PA tell him he didn't know why he had back pain but he should just take ibuprofen-another provider sent him for an MRI and found nerves that were pinched, which ibuprofen doesn't help. Then the same PA literally called him 20 min before his very last appointment to say that since it was a holiday, he probably didn't want to come in-PA actually didn't have other appointments and wanted to leave. He also told him he just needed to lose weight (to address back pain), and another Family Healthcare MD told him to stop putting food in his mouth! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

The doctor recommended a flu and covid test. I asked if it was free and he said yes. Ended up receiving a bill for over $100 for the covid test. After disputing it with the office and billing, I was told there was nothing they could do. The doctor even said he didn't say it was free. I felt let down. Someone who is supposed to be in charge of my health lying. The office could have easily taken care of this. Instead, I am left with a lack of trust in my provider.

It seems to me like this practice is only interested in testing for Covid (perhaps there is a financial incentive to prioritize) while neglecting multi generational families of patients that have come to rely on their practice. He turned me around with my back facing him, put his stethoscope on my back, listened for 6-7 seconds and said that my heartbeat was 68 beats per minute. Now..I'm sure you folks will say that well...all he did was some multiplication from his counts to get that number, but what can you multiply to get 68???? 5,6,7,8,9 times any integer does not give you 68. So i called him out saying that he was full of it and he tells me, "trust me, I've been doing this for 30 years". Anyway he started asking a few questions about my health and he suggested I do a few more tests (blood draws, etc). Later on, the nurse gets an ECG heart rate measurement and it comes out to be 68. It just blew my mind away when I saw that. When Dr. Dooley came in again I told him I was amazed at his accuracy and he says, "oh, I sometimes am off by 1 heart beat. But I've been doing this for 30 years so I'm usually right". Owned. LOL. Apparently I didn't have any big problems and I was told to drink a lot of juice and get some good sleep. Anyway, I was pretty much convinced that I would go to him later in the future if I need a visit to the doc.
