Just when I thought the service at My Mechanic could not get any better they proved they could step it up another notch. A/C in car quit working._and heat was killing us when we had to go out. Called the shop and got an appointment. They said we would need to leave it all day so they could find leak....we only have one car do we found a date with no other appointments. Wife dropped car off and great friend brought her home....4 hours later Mike called and said car was ready and a/c had been fixed. These guys are good...highly highly recommend them. read more

Have been to My Mechanic several times, because I have 2 cars that each have about 250,000 miles. Each time I have been there, the repairs were done very quickly and at extremely fair prices. They are completely trustworthy and do not pile on trying to upsell me other things to do. This shop is so much in demand that as I write this you could have to wait around 2 weeks for an appointment, but once you bring your car in you can be certain it will be repaired QUICKLY and that the shop will be very effective in communicating the car's status. I brought my car for an oil change & thermostat replaced. Took 4 days to repair it. Then the Mechanic did a test drive & took my dream car 500L and it was in an accident & Totaled. To add insult to injury they wanted me to pay for the repairs! I didn't cause the accident. I was not in the car). Used to be the best Garage in the neighborhood but quickly becoming the worst. Sad to see this place turn into the usual "hustler" garage that tries to take advantage of people now. Shame :( Used to be very friendly with nice staff, and honest. They got busy and popular so now they use that to just rip you off. My grandmother was charged over double the amount of basic maintenance that any high school kid could do and it wasn't even done proper. Geico Auto Insurance used My Mechanic for a roadside assistance call and it was awful. My Mechanic hooked up me truck and drove off. Calls me 10 minutes later and said it will bot be covered under roadside assistance and continues to extort a cash payment on the spot or he's impounding my truck which he did. In the end I paid all the cash extortion money and got my truck back. But it didn't end there. The My Mechanic driver calls me two days later harassing me over the phone, swearing at me and calling me a liar. Talked to owner about the issue and he said prove it! They picked up my car on March 6, 2023, at 3 pm I received a call from the tow truck driver about 5pm, stating that he were in an accident while transporting my car, than lies to me about the condition of my car, and what truly happen to my car. The bodyshop that received my car called me immediately upon receiving my car, was in total shock on the condition of my car. they completely totaled my vehicle, and refused to take ownership!! read more

This review is way overdue. My battery died while at a beach 40 minutes away from the shop. This happened on a Sunday at around 5 pm. Robert (owner) made an unexpected and unwanted trip to the mechanic so much more bearable. We arrived via tow truck at the shop at around 8 pm on a Sunday. We were pretty unhappy about a great beach day being hurt by a dead battery and having to be towed to a mechanic. Robert was outside the shop waiting to greet us, offered us a seat, a chance to relax and a beverage while he wrote up the ticket for my car. Super nice guy. It was Sunday night and nothing could be done so in the am after a quick diagnosis, he determined it was the battery, fixed it and we were in the way home. Since then (Nov 2017), he has checked in on us and my car twice. read more

Great man, great human. It's his business and he stamps his name on it. That means everything because he is TRUSTWORTHY, honorable, fair, efficient, effective and he cares about his customers. I always seem to catch myself enjoying the experience by smiling or laughing when I'm there. Sometimes the repair of a car is expensive and difficult for everyone involved but we always seem to enjoy ourselves as we get through it. Could you ask for more in today's stressful world? The building is always clean and they are very safe. They keep up with the most current equipment and knowledge. The fact that they can also tow you when you have trouble is also a major plus. Know this though, it's busy there from the second you drive up looking for a spot to park! Lol. People, cars, trucks everywhere, customers, his family, staff and friends always around, even the dogs! I think these are the most honest mechanics in all of Florida. They don't upsell you or tell you something is broken or on the verge of breaking unless its the truth. My mother brought her car in to fix a door that would not open from the inside and the owner replaced a small part and charged her $1.00 for the part...i have had my brakes done and purchased new tires for less than any competitor. Hard to find these days, what with major chains or franchises who hire rookies to work on your car and try to upsell you on more tests, windshield wipers, transmission flushes, etc, etc etc The guys at My Mechanic are great, but as a result they are very busy taking care of their regular customers and probably wont be able to drop everything and work on your car. While I see all the wonderful reviews for this business I would like to share how I was treated by the owner of this establishment. I was driving to pick dinner for our family when one of his tow trucks pulled out into traffic and the door flew open with a 6 foot piece of steel flying out of it into a road with very heavy traffic. It bounced up and I tried very hard to avoid it but, I hit it with my front right tire which immediately went flat and I had to ride on the rim to get to a safe place. The driver of the truck stopped and did everything he could do to make it right. The next day I went to the business and met with the owner, Robert. I have never met such a condescending individual in my life. He told me that if I hit that piece of metal it was my "my responsibility" and he wasn't required to do anything. His staff and the driver could not have been more professional, he on the other hand was rude, unprofessional and condescending. I wasn't sure if it was because I was a female or because he wanted no accountability. I just bought the vehicle less than 24 hours before the incident with not a scratch on it, but yet he talked to my sister and I like we were beneath him and looking for a handout. He finally agreed to give me a matching tire and a nominal amount to fix the scratches on it, only after I told him I would be contacting my insurance company to let them handle it. It shouldn't have to been anything but making something right, but he turned it into an UGLY confrontation that should have never happened. read more

I was incredibly lucky, my car broke down in the Winn Dixie parking right down the end of San Casa and the nice lady at customer service strongly recommended My Mechanic and Robert's expertise. I can't thank her enough. I used to do most of my own work, but can't anymore, but I can usually diagnose the problem. These guys have been 100% spot on correct every time. They have also been in position to easily chip the bill up and make a few more dollars and every time they have kept the bill down and been super, super honest. I called around to get quotes on my front brakes and rotors, and My Mechanic was about $100 cheaper than everyone else.
