Faulty HEARING DEVICES! Was sold Signia Hearing Devices, that lasted EXACTLY 7 DAYS! Left device,…read moreno matter how high I set the volume, the sound came through like I had cotton in my ear, not even clicks when volume changed up or down! The Right device, I could hear out of when it would stay on! Device would make a clicking noise then shut off and back on by itself. When I answered phone with the 'BlueTooth' app., the Right device would shut off and I would have to turn back on AFTER I FINISHED THE CALL! Called HearUSA and was told to come in, 'Sounds like they need to be cleaned!' Cleaned after only 7 days? Ok. Went into office, rude receptionist! She took devices into back to cleaned. When that didn't help with the volume in left device, it's now my phone and the Signia App's fault. Deleted, reinstalled and connected. As she was adjusting app, right device turned off and this time, did not turn back on! Said an appointment had cancelled at 4pm, I could go home, connect devices to charge, and come back in 2 hours to start paperwork to return for repair! WTHeck? Not over 7 days old and instead of issuing new, they want to repair? I Drive 35 miles, 1 way, just to start paperwork to repair? Receptionist said no other option! With no other choice, I drove home! As I was driving, I got a text from HearUSA that I did not respond to while driving. Then, I got a telephone call. Hearing devices don't work and I got rid of my headphones when I got the hearing aids. So I let it go to voicemail. I guess Brandon the tech was informed that I left upset. Brandon said if I came back in, he would work me in a little earlier. Well by the time I got home and I turned around and drove back into Lancaster. It's now after 3 PM. Brandon change the tubes, nothing. Brandon changed the speakers, nothing. Brandon hooked the left device up to his computer and seemed surprised that he couldn't hear anything out of it. Even though that's what I was saying was wrong with the left 1. He took both aids into the back room, not sure exactly what he did, when he came back, he said he had contacted the manufacturer and that he would send the devices back in and new ones would be issued. I said no, you will get me the new ones and then I will give you back the faulty ones. Brandon said that they put a rush on order and a two day delivery. Since this was the Monday before Thanksgiving, he told me not to be surprised if I didn't get them until Friday, but as soon as they arrived, he would call me!! In the mean while, I can have my left device set at 15 (the loudest setting) and basically hear nothing through the device. I continue to wear it just to get use to it. The right device makes clicks and turns off and sometimes back on, when it wants! Well, Wednesday came and went so did Friday. It's now Monday afternoon and still no call! I cannot hear telephone calls WITHOUT REMOVING the DEVICES! The way it's going, it will be the first of the year soon and since I'm changing insurance companies, benefits will start over. HearUSA can keep their Signia Hearing devices and I will happily go someplace else! Do yourself a favor and NOT GO TO HearUSA! Update: Lancaster, Ca HearUSA office finally called me back with update! Backordered, maybe 4-6 weeks for replacement hearing devices to be available! Returning these POS Singnia hearing devices. Do yourself a favor, do not come here!

However, she recently moved to Santa Clarita to be closer to us and we took her to this office today. According to her, this is the nicest, most professional and friendly office staff with all the up-to date equipment. Her hearing aid stopped working. It was purchased at a different audiology department. Audiology Associates sent the hearing aid out for repairs and contacted the previous business where it was purchased to get the most up to date records. The staff communicated regularly with my mother-in-law and kept her informed during the entire process. The hearing aid was fixed a week sooner than expected. It was very easy to make the appointments. Once the new settings were dialed in they told her she could come in any time without an appointment for any type of adjustments. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to work with such a professional and friendly business.

SO much so, I also brought my mother here. I have always been happy with the Octicon hearing aids (H/A) I had been getting from them over the years. So why the low rating? In between my first and second set of H/A, I was asked to try the Starkey brand. I was not happy with their tonality/sound quality or functionality. So, I went back to Oticon. Last year, I was once again asked to try Starkey. Even though my last experience with them was not favorable, I was told they were the latest and were very good. I tried them. Once again, I was not happy even after the issues I had were addressed they did not sound as good as I was used to. The audio levels were constantly bouncing around depending on the room I was in. It was very nerve racking, a constant headache. I was then asked to wait a bit as Starkey was going to release the latest and greatest they had. Once again, they pretty much sounded and acted the same. When I would get on a phone call the room mics would triple in volume and drown out the caller. Calling the tech support, the choices were blaring or nothing. They were stumped why this was. Went back to AA, and was told the issue was defective H/As. They would order a new set. The new set arrived, the phone call issue was gone, but constant bouncing of levels and the poor balance of sounds in the room continued. All pre-sets were just terrible. I also tried to set my own audio levels, and the H/A seemed to have a mind of their own and would start bouncing around. After multiple trips to AA and phone calls with support, I was done with trial and error. I was then told I was now stuck with these H/A! The only thing that can be done was to keep coming back for tweaks in hopes of getting things right! Since I was never offered an alternative like Oticon, it was obvious they have now gone all out on Starkey. That said, I will now have to find a new audiologist because I will NEVER get Starkey again. Even worse is I now have to wait for the next window that my insurance will pay for new H/As, as my last allowance was wasted on the Starkeys that now live in a drawer! Luckily my Oticons are still working. My experience has been, after I got used to wearing H/As, I would put them on in the morning and actually forget I was wearing them. When I would put on the Starkeys, there a CONSTANT, NAGGING reminder that I was wearing them. Not for me. I am sure there are people out there, that love and swear by the Starkey name and that's great for them. I am not one of them. I need an audiologist that offers choice and not just one brand.
