Beware: I bought tix to their Halloween party and then they randomly started charging me $149 for a subscription that I didn't sign up for! I do think this place is overpriced, it's essentially an indoor playground, maybe it's good for when it rains. The classes aren't really structured, they do a song but mostly they let the kids run around and climb on stuff. My 15 month old isn't very motivated by it. They need some toys and sensory items I think, and more stairs... babies love stairs for some reason. They try hard but I'm so annoyed by being charged for something I didn't purchase and now having to fight it that I won't return. read more

I have a short checklist of attributes that make for great kid's party venues. It goes something like: 1. Free, easy parking 2. Booze permitted 3. Children trapped 4. Children entertained I took my son Leo B. to the My Gym in Pasadena for Jude B.'s 5th birthday party, and it checked off the whole list. We have a My Gym near us that Leo never got into, but this one looked nicer and bigger, in a weirdly quiet Pasadena mall rather than a mid-tier Koreatown strip mall. There was parking in a large garage, and My Gym offered validation. The set-up was simple, with most of the space devoted to a large padded play area with lots of kid gym stuff and a staff that led the children in a series of activities. I didn't get that good a look at it all because I stayed in the front area, where there was plentiful seating and wine for the parents, provided by our hosts. It was an easy place to hang out and socialize while the kids played. There was also a drop-off option, which I might have exercised if there had been more to do at this strange mall. I barely saw Leo while he was in the party zone. He was having too much fun to call for mommy, so I only went in there when it was time to take group photos, which the staff snapped on the hosts' behalf. After play time, we all had pizza and cupcakes in the front area, with the staff facilitating and keeping the party on pace. My only complaint about this My Gym is that they don't accept outside socks, so we went home with ugly grippy My Gym socks that we'll only use again if we remember to take them to the next My Gym event. Otherwise, both the boy and I were quite happy. We had fun celebrating Jude, and I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a party venue or indoor play situation in the area. read more

The birthday package came with four classes and I truly think these four classes perk with the bday package fantastic because we are able to choose when we want to use the classes. I have been bringing my son to MyGym since he was 4 months old and it's one of the best decisions I made! As a mom and a former preschool teacher it's tricky to find classes for infants and toddlers that are age appropriate, give opportunities for multiple skills and have a great social aspect, MyGym is definitely that place! My son loves going but above everything LOVES the teachers/coaches! He is now going to be 2 this month and Ms. Emily, Ms. Ashley, Ms. Brenda and the entire staff are like aunts and uncles to him and he is excited to see them every time we go! Emily and Ashley have created a space for littles to come into class to feel free to move your body, learn and grow at your own pace. The curriculum allows for growth in all fine motor, gross motor, social, emotional, and problem solving skills! I could go on and on about how great MyGym Pasadena is and how I recommend it to all my friends that have littles! They have class from as young as 4 months old to 10 years old! This is my favorite place to take my little one. We've been taking him since he was 10 months old (now almost 2). We love the cadence and pace of class, the teachers and the energy they bring, and all the exploring time. The cost cannot be beat, I've signed up for other kids programming in Pasadena and it's hard to compare the value- bc the price is so reasonable with their unlimited classes in a month offering. This place is honestly my sons favorite place to go, and the social skills/soft skills he's learning are so important. The staff turnover is really low, which is great for kids who bond to their teachers. I can't say enough good things and debate between telling everyone bc it's been such a blessing or hoarding all the specialness to myself. Logistics: Parking is simple and easy they validate for the Marengo lot which is across the bridge. They're in the Paseo right by equinox. You're scheduled for one class (day/time) with your monthly membership and then through their online portal you can sign up for unlimited classes during the week. If there's ever no room in a class I'd really like to go to- you can text the facility and they can see if they can fit you in. They're super fast on text replies! Kids go barefoot and any nonrestrictive clothes is fine (if you're parent/child adults need socks). There are 2 single restrooms in the facility, the one in the front has a changing table and diaper pail. Facility is cleaned regularly throughout the day and thus far we haven't gotten an illnesses/viruses from my gym or the community that goes. read more

My Gym Pasadena has been a great learning opportunity for our little one (LO) AT since ~13 months old and now our LO is almost 2! As you may read with the other reviews, service is stellar and their team is well trained on service, excitement/teaching little ones, and most importantly safety. Many of the instructors are aspiring teachers, and it is clear they try to connect with each and every child to help them grow. In just a few months, our LO improved in the following: -More willing to be around new places/family members! (Social awareness, no longer crying for parents) -Better communication: greeting others, hi-five, waving hi/bye -Making lots of friends, sharing, independent play -Balance, walking, running and climbing/monkey bars -Routines and mimicking - Circle Time! Following along with physical stretching instructions, singing, and tumbling/handstands Their staff deserves to be well recognized! Lead by Ashley and Emily as well as instructors: Ms. Ana, Ms. Zoha, Ms. Michelle, Mr. Michael, Mr. Daniel and Ms. Ianah, each team member has made an imprint in our LO's growth. We've been coming since my son was 10 months old he's now 2.5 and everyday he begs me to come here. I am also a clean freak and they do such a great job at sanitizing - cleaning the balls one by one in the ball pit!!! The management is amazing as well, so responsive and welcoming to everyone. My kids have attended classes at MyGym Pasadena since they were around 8 months old (my oldest is almost 7 now!) and it's still their favorite place in the world. They're in the oldest level class, Ninja Training, and it's so fun. They exercise, play, run obstacle courses and develop so many skills - both physical and social! They've done MyGym classes, Practice and Plays, Camps, Holiday events, Birthday parties and they've all been stellar. The teachers are fabulous. They're so great with kids of all ages and I trust them 100%. Ms. Ashley does a great job hiring staff and ensuring she has a diverse, talented group so kiddos can feel comfortable and form meaningful connections with both teachers and other kids. I can't say enough good things about MyGym Pasadena. My Gym has been such a wonderful experience for my daughter. We started when she was 2 in the parent participation class and moved to the independent class around 3. My daughter is almost 5 and has looked forward to it every week and it's been wonderful watching her grow. We came in today for the first time for a friends 1st birthday party. We had such a fun time! The staff was incredible and energetic. They gave such focused attention to each of the kids, the ones who were having a meltdown or the ones who were excelling, I was so impressed. Daniel really stood out to our family. I brought my son here after buying the 2 week pass. We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest however after one visit my son fell very Ill. He's never around that many kids, so I'm certain whatever he caught, he caught it from a playmate at "my gym". The thing is, there was a child that was showing clear signs of being unwell but he was still allowed to participate. When a child has mucus running down his face.... I would definitely not bring him out to infect other children.. and as an organization, I think "my gym" should have been more aware of the symptoms this child was showing. This is review is for a birthday party. All the kids, including my daughter (the birthday girl), had a blast. The staff was all so friendly, excited, and involved. Love the schedule they had planned out for the party. I loved how they cut the pizza into smaller pieces so it was easier for the kids to hold/eat. She is such an advocate for these little ones and her staff is incredible all so loving and caring and dedicated! Had a great time here for a kid's birthday party. There were probably 20 kids and the corresponding parents. They allowed outside food to be brought in for lunch and you can bring your own decorations so if you have a party here it probably cuts down on your cost. They had 3 staff members working the party and they were all really friendly and great at engaging the kids. Myke in particular stood out because he played tag with my boys like a crazy person, throwing himself on the play mats and being super silly. You can tell the people who work here love their job and bring around kids. The party was well organized with staff-led songs and activities including a bubble party, puppet show song, parachute circle and group photo op. The facility was clean and had a lot of activities and equipment the kids enjoyed including a ball pit, swings, balance beam, barrel, play structure, slides, trampoline, etc. read more

Our energetic little 18 month old loves My Gym! She gets so excited running across the pedestrian bridge from the parking lot and once she's inside, it is a nonstop fun fest and she comes out the other end totally wiped out and ready for a nap. All the staff members are wonderful and attentive. They switch up the play area and activities regularly so there's always something new to try. Validation with parking in the garage. First 90min free - but note that the garage has a height limit of 6'2". So if you're driving your mom SUV, beware! + STAFF. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I called several times and the staff was always chipper and upbeat. + ENVIRONMENT. Tons of obstacles and activities, including small structures, balance beam, swings, cushions to climb on, Bubble time, circle time, and toys on toys on toys. + CLEANLINESS. We've been coming here since our oldest was probably 6 months old. He's now 10 and now our youngest (4) does My Gym. The staff does a great job creating fun obstacles for the kids and keeping the classes clean. They're very energetic and attentive to the kids. I absolutely love the staff here. They did a wonderful job creating a space outdoors during COVID, and now that the kids are back inside they are doing great making sure everyone feels safe. Best My Gym location. First of all I would like to start by saying that the staff here is awesome. They engage and encourage kids to be the best they can. I take my toddler here, she's able to have fun and learn at the same time. All the skill sets that the teach the kids enable them to have the courage to do it. I love that they allow the parents to be interactive with their kids as well. I, too, get a workout lol. They definitely clean the equipment and they do deep cleaning of the place. I work full time and the weekends are they only times I can take my daughter. They allow 4 classes a month and there are times for Free Play. If you're new to going there. Go online to see the schedule of the age level your kid is and see if you can just go to check them out! All My Gyms are not connected and you can't just go to another My Gym unless you get another membership for the other My Gym. read more

This is a party review. I'm sad to write this review but I feel it's my duty to give a heads up to those considering a party here. Set-up time is 15 minutes beforehand so why was the previous party just leaving? It made us behind with set-up. I was promised consistent entertainment for our guest (kids), that's what you are paying for right? They did maybe 3 activities: parachute, car wash & swings. in the course of an hour and a half. Whatever activities they did were enjoyed. Wish they did all the others they told me were going to be done. I was checking-in with staff and I was told one thing but then nothing would happen. They were moving slowly. Party package was not delivered as stated. They apologized and tried to make-up for it but they were fully aware during the party it should not have lead to this. Deliver what you advertise. We love it here but would not host a party here again. I was definitely disappointed that we didn't receive the level of service we are use to receiving during the weekly classes. Maybe having multiple parties in one day for the same staff requires too much energy and should consider rotating staff for parties. Also, allow more time for set-up between parties especially when the prior party has no time consideration and runs later. Also, the cleaning that happens between parties is mediocre. It's not even enough time for staff to clean up properly, let alone set-up. So, basically if you are having a party maybe being the first party of the day you'll get energized staff and a clean space with plenty of time to set-up. Otherwise book at your own risk. read more

my son has been coming to MyGym for the past ten months. in the beginning he wasn't used to being in a group of children and much less, going along with a little agneda, but he caught on over time. MyGym has done so much for him in terms of sharing space, warming up to care givers and teachers, learning to take turns... he started here at 18 months and has come a long way. the teachers here have the best attitude, are friendly and so accommodating. they all love what they do, Miss Annie and Elliot... they're so playful and happy. it's such a great environment for the young ones. it's especially great for children who stay home with mom. it gives them the opportunity to socialize and wets their feet for daycare or preschool. we started MyGym by using a Groupon, but even without that special, the program here is very worth it. we did sign up for their monthly automatic payments (you get a deep discount), which makes it a great value as well. makeups are so easy to do. parents seem to consistently abide by their healthy requirement (stay home if you're sick and schedule a make-up). the space is very clean!! there are tissue, wipes and sanitizer within reach at any moment, in case you need it. your membership comes with drop-in open play opportunities too, in addition to classes. it's a great way to exercise those gross motors and tire them out before dinner! read more

We've come to my gym off and on for the last three years, my daughter is now 4.5. The teachers are all so engaged. They always remember my daughters name even if it's been a year in between and even remember my face as her parent. The kids all clearly love the teachers and many have been there for many years which I think is a great sign that turnover is low. My daughter loves coming to her class. I sing her the welcome song at home prior to coming and she starts yelling out of excitement!! The teachers are super nice and encouraging. They not only push My daughter but also push me and I'm surprised at how much my daughter is capable of. Love how supportive and understanding they are when you or the little one gets sick. This is a shoutout to the Saturday afternoon shift for Waddlers! I think one of the instructors was Briana but I can't remember the other instructors name. They were so nice and friendly, in constant motion and working as hard as they could to make sure that the kids were having fun. They must have changed the floor setup about 5 times in 1 hour, switching it from an obstacle course to a series of swings to freestyle play with musical instruments. All of the kids seemed to like the bubble machine the best, though. The instructors have a great knack with kids, and the pretty low head count on Saturday meant that each child got lots of personal attention. Footwear follows a pretty good rule - kids are barefoot, adults must wear socks. I also like how they balanced the kids' time with freestyle play vs. structured activities. The cost is about $20 per day, but having your kid exhausted when you get home is priceless. The economy must be doing really well because they are practically FULL on the weekdays, and who can do this during weekdays?? Side note - There is an outdoor sporting goods store RIGHT NEXT to My Gym with advertisements for guns in the windows. Does anyone else find that odd? read more

I've been taking my daughter to My Gym for a year. When we first started, she was very unsure about joining the activities and I often contemplated cancelling my membership. But I held on and now she's so confident and eager to try all the activities (even the more challenging ones) and play with the other children. The gym is very clean and I love the music too! This year we celebrated her birthday at My Gym and it was by far the best Indoor Playground Party we have ever attended. They literally do everything for you. Makes it very simple and enjoyable for the parents. They make your child the STAR of the party! Such a great time! I highly recommend celebrating your child's birthday at My Gym!
