It never feels cramped, even at peak times, which is a major advantage. The amenities truly set it apart. The indoor tennis courts are impressive, the basketball courts are full-sized and well maintained, and the swimming facilities--both indoor and outdoor--are extensive and inviting. Add in outdoor pickleball courts, well-kept locker rooms, and relaxing sauna areas, and you start to see how comprehensive the experience is. A standout is Joel at the front desk, who brings a welcoming, professional presence that sets the tone from the moment you walk in. That level of service makes a difference and elevates the overall experience. Overall, Kingsbury Club delivers a well-rounded, high-quality environment that goes well beyond a typical gym--offering something for just about everyone, whether you're there to train, compete, or simply enjoy the space.

I signed my teenaged child up for a$ 400 American Red Cross lifeguarding course offered…read morethrough/being held at The Kingsbury Club. I spoke with Chris over the phone in order to register my child, and he told me that the confirmation emails and the email to start the online training portion would be sent directly to my son. I took notes from the phone call: he gave me a date by which I had to cancel, and told me about the pre-participation swim test that had to be passed before participating in the lifeguarding course. Now, the swim test was not just " can you swim a lap in the pool?" No, it was swim 150 yards without touching the sides of the pool with your hands, tread water for 2 minutes without your arms, dive down 7 feet and pick up a brick, return it to the surface, then swim with it 50 yards. So this was not your average swim test, and this info was not communicated in advance. Unfortunately, my son did not pass the test and was unable to participate in the lifeguard course. While he was working trying his best to complete the tasks, he felt like the ADULT IN CHARGE WAS MAKING FUN OF HIM. I don't know if this was Chris or not, but there is no reason that a 15-year-old should be made to feel bad for trying something and not making it. The following day after the swim test, I called the facility and asked for a full refund for the course since my son would not be participating in it, and it was explained to me then that the refund is 50%, because "they can't resell his spot." Now that was unsatisfactory to me because that was not explained in advance, and they claim that that information was sent in an email to my child. This is unacceptable because a 15-year-old cannot be expected to make decisions and judgements regarding a financial commitment that is communicated in an email. I spoke to Chris who was fairly respectful and communicated the policy. He was not able to solve the problem, and I asked to speak with his supervisor. He connected me to Brad. I told Brad the situation, and he proceeded to scoff at me, make fun of my son, question his intelligence, and question my intelligence. It was an extremely negative interaction with no sense of customer service. This whole experience has left a very bad feeling with me. I feel like they stole $200 from me, that they only send the email to the teenager so that they can do this very manipulative practice. Terrible facility.

The Sweatshop lives upto it's name ... at least I'm leaving my sweat all over the floor. Robin, with her passion for fitness, welcoming personality, and fun approach to getting each individual thru a class, is a star. No one session is the same as the next. I do 3 classes a week and get a full body and cardio workout from her huge array of simple to follow exercises. Amazing what a workout you can get in 30 minutes with a chair and a single 8lb weight. I'd been dragging and looking for a good total body workout that wasn't an endurance competition or some fad. This is good old fashioned exercise done with the purpose of getting you fit and enjoying it while you are doing it. It's the best combination. And not easy to do.

I've done various personal training programs at different gyms and fitness organizations, and Fitness Together is by far the best. You never have to deal with "shared" equipment like at a gym and not being able to use the equipment you need as part of your program because it's being used. The only area of the business that could use an improvement is the lack of a good app or web based appointment management system. The mindbody integration is a bit half-baked... Would be really good to have an app that shows exactly when my sessions are scheduled, which time slots are available if I want to re-schedule, and how many session credits are left on my account.

I have been a client at Fitness Together Medfield for over 7 years. My goal is not weight loss or…read moreincreased athletic ability (though these also would be appropriate goals) but maintaining and improving my general heath. Before I started at FT my primary care doctor told me the single best change I could make in my life to improve my health is to begin working out and getting more exercise. I hadn't exercised in decades. Fitness Together is close to where I live so I thought I'd give it a try. They started me off slowly, as appropriate, and gradually increased the level of difficulty. They have excellent trainers. Uli, Lexie, and Bill right now, and an outstanding owner, Dan, who care about me as an individual and who formulate personal workouts. The workout is different each time, but variations on a theme that are targeting some aspects of my physical capabilities. I can tell them I'd like to do more balance work or more lifting or that a muscle in my thigh is bothering me and they will incorporate it into the workouts. You get one-on-one training sessions. You can schedule online. Fitness Together, Medfield, has a very friendly, community atmosphere. I try to go three times per week. The first change, seven years ago, was that to my surprise my posture and how I carry myself changed for the better. I enjoy the workouts at FT. Plus I know my overall health is better because of Fitness Together.

Quite honestly, just turning into a dump. Makes me wonder if that is why they changed the name, weren't keeping up with Gold's franchise standards? The worst I've seen is you can't use one machine for 1-2 mins. Very good classes/instructors. They have recently added a bunch of the Les Mills classes (Bodycombat, bodypump) The only knock I have is the evening classes start at 6:30. I'd like them earlier or later. I like price is right for what you get. It isn't the low cost option but if you want to take classes it is a great place and a good value. The place is a typical suburban gym a mix of meatheads, highschooler, mothers, retirees, and middle aged parents. No one group dominate the place. You can see yourself when you go here. The one negative is the men's bathroom. While not the worst gym I've seen, it could use more frequent cleanings and more ventilation.

True Performance Training came as recommendation from a friend, and Filipe Cotas (the owner and…read moretrainer) did not disappoint! I was looking for someone who would work with my 14 year-old brother on the 5x5 program that his school had assigned for the upcoming soccer session. Filipe was fantastic. He modified the program to better fit my brother's soccer needs and was incredibly patient and down-to-earth. My brother worked with him for about 8 weeks (roughly 3x a week)and felt huge difference during tryouts. The facility is brand new and well equipped plus Filipe's pricing is incredibly reasonable. You pay as you go and there is no need to sign up for an annoying gym membership. Here is what my brother has to say about his time with Filipe: Filipe not only helped me to become a stronger person but a more determined one, as his deep knowledge of fitness combined with his welcoming personality and unending patience created an environment of hard work and perseverance. His emphasis on proper form taught me the importance of not only the weight of what I was lifting but the technique I was using to lift that weight. Additionally, Filipe did not judge me but rather encouraged me to keep going when I made mistakes, giving me pointers to do so, all leading me to not only obtaining the strength I needed but the knowledge and work ethic to continue to develop. So in closing, Filipe's knowledge and understanding of fitness not only create a friendly environment to work out in but a mindset centered on hard work and dedication. P.S. - I recommend arriving 5 minutes early for sessions to accommodate yourself before Filipe starts working with you. Also, do not be afraid to speak up if you are not certain about something, at any point during your work out. Finally, push yourself -- no matter how exhausting it may be, Filipe will be right be your side to encourage you the whole way.
