Joans Olympic Gym was where I first learned how to tumble!…read more I just remember as a kid, thinking how brutal conditioning was but definitely made me have a strong core haha. The instructors were super nice and helpful from my memory. The gym itself is smaller than others around but a great place to learn, nevertheless. Class sizes aren't too big, which makes it a perfect environment (at least for me) to learn new skills. Not intimidating at all for kids. Parking: parking lot with lots of parking!

First off, my daughter used to have a big dream to be a gymnast, but this made her hate the sport…read more #1 the coaches are very unfair and rude, they gave my daughter rude looks and said she was horrible, also they blame everything on my daughter and her best friend, for everything even when it wasn't their fault, they were assuming they were bullies but the other girls were, for example multiple girls fat shamed my daughter and no one did anything or talked about it, but when another girl got shamed it was a big deal. So as you can tell this gym is not fair. I don't recommend this gym for young or older girls, also most of the coaches don't get actual training they start off at 13 year olds and don't get any training they just get told to put their hand there which isn't safe or real training, so unless you trust non trained coaches with your kid i don't recommend.

This "studio" is a bit shabby. My daughter took the Acro class and was taught nothing nor did she…read moreimprove on any skills that she already had, due to the fact that Bridget basically taught her nothing and I did not see her or her assistants work directly with her one time to help her improve her gymnastic skills or otherwise. After the first six weeks of classes they started practicing the routine and then 75% of the time most of the girls stood around watching other girls practice their parts of the routine for the recital. My daughter, as well as other girls there I know, got very bored and did not even want to go to class. She had the size of this class way to big! I was told there would not be that many in the class. And let me tell you about the obscenely long FOUR hour recital she scheduled. What other dance studio does that??? That was brutal on many levels for both students and the family members there watching. Several people left after intermision, which at a normal studio would have actually been the time a recital would end. Not to mention the unorganization of it. She also overbooked seating for that auditorium. So Bridget threw some folding chairs in the aisle, in front of a safety bar,so not only were we in awful folding chairs but also could not see without looking under or over the bar. We paid $120 for folding chair seats in the isle with an obstructed view. Had to put your head under or stand up to see kids on stage. Overall I have to say I was very dissapointed with Bridget's on several levels. I would NEVER recommend anyone go to that dance studio. I will be trying Amy's Dance in Braintree.

My fiancé and I took private lessons from Bridget to prepare…read morefor our wedding. After approximately 5-6 lessons we had a beautifully choreographed routine to surprise our guests during the first dance. People were absolutely amazed at our Argentinian Tango. More than one person said they felt like they were watching something from Dancing With The Stars! Bridget is amazing! My fiancé had no previous dance experience and by the end of the private lessons and a few good practice sessions on our own, he was rocking the tango, box step, and had virtually perfect form! Bridget gives great feedback, the lessons are affordable and she is a blast to work with. We would highly recommend. We might even try to keep up with some group lessons! Without the pressure from a big audience with all eyes on you, the ballroom dancing is a riot. On more than one occasion we were stopped by passersby during our practice sessions to inquire about our beautiful dancing! Couldn't be happier. Our first dance was a highlight of our wedding! THANK YOU BRIDGET!

I was hesitant about writing this review, but I think it's important to share an honest experience…read more Lighting: The lighting throughout the gym is very harsh--extremely white--and combined with the white walls, it creates an uncomfortable environment. Lighting in a gym isn't just aesthetic; it directly affects safety, performance, mood, and the overall workout experience. Equipment Condition: A significant amount of the cardio equipment is not functional. It's frustrating to see equipment moved from the old location to the new one without being properly repaired. Many machines are in poor condition and need maintenance or adjustment. TVs: All the TVs display the same content, which feels repetitive and uninspired. It would be a big improvement to include a variety of options like music videos, workout-related YouTube channels, educational fitness content, or even news. Music: The music selection is consistently heavy metal, which may not appeal to everyone and can be demotivating for many members. Music plays a major role in workouts--it boosts performance, increases motivation, reduces perceived effort, and helps maintain focus. A mix of genres like EDM, house, pop, and remixes (typically in the 120-140 BPM range) would create a more inclusive and energizing atmosphere. Warm-Up / Stretching Area: The stretching area is too small and cluttered with unnecessary equipment. It would benefit from better organization and the addition of useful items like resistance bands. The current layout negatively impacts the overall experience. Safety Concerns: The hallways leading to the bathrooms are overcrowded with equipment and tools, making the space feel unsafe. In the event of an emergency evacuation, this could become a serious issue and would likely be flagged during a safety inspection. Functional Trainers: Many of the cable machines are in poor condition and need maintenance. Some have uneven cable resistance or mismatched thickness between sides, which directly affects workout performance and balance. Bathrooms: Basic supplies like paper towels are often missing. Additionally, signage encouraging proper use (e.g., not disposing of gum or trash in urinals) would help maintain cleanliness. Water Access: There should be a proper water dispenser for filling bottles. Relying only on water fountains is not practical for members during workouts and doesn't meet basic expectations for convenience. Front Desk Staff: The front desk staff could significantly improve their attitude. They are often not welcoming, which sets a negative tone from the moment you walk in. As the face of the gym, they should create a friendly and professional first impression for members. Overall: The gym has lost the strong bodybuilding atmosphere that made the previous location stand out. Right now, the experience doesn't match expectations. I would recommend management visit facilities like Mass Underground or Olympus Gym for inspiration on layout, equipment quality, and overall environment. At this point, I'm seriously considering canceling my membership

Thought they would at least have some new machines and equipments since they are in a new location…read morebut all the machines are extremely old and dumb bells are rusty. If you have a cut on your hands, I don't know about touching those rusty metals. The rowing machine seat was wobbly. The handle was sticky even after wiping it before use. I didn't want to touch anything else and left. Other than that, the front desk guy was friendly.
