My daughter, also named Bridget, has been with BDS for 7 years and LOVES it! She was previously at another school in Braintree but when she wanted to do hip hop at age 4, they said 'no,' not until age 6; well I knew she could do it and loved all aspect of dance, so when I saw a sign for a new studio opening, I called it a 'sign' BABs has grown by leaps and bounds in her dancing and has been on the dance team for 2 years; her skills and technique have improved immensely all thanks to Bridget, Chrisie and Christine! She has never once complained about going to dance, which is 7 hours a week (even bummed out when we're on vacation and miss class)! They are the nicest group of girls/parents around. Every parent cares about all the girls, and vice versa. We are a very friendly group of families. Yes, the studio is not the 'newest' or the 'brightest' but don't judge a book by its cover; it's the quality instruction and sheer care and love of the dancers by the teachers that makes it work! They want your child to succeed in the aspect of dancing, singing, acro, etc. It's very hard to keep areas clean with the amount of children coming through the studio on a daily basis; I see children leave their wrappers, water bottles, etc on the table/floor. I believe that the parents should make sure that their children clean up after themselves (it's not the teachers' job to do this). The recitals have come a long way from East Middle School! Milton High School is brand new and their AC didn't work this year (has always worked in previous years); this also was not BDS fault. What was she to do, cancel the recital due to AC not working? No, the show must go on! It appeared more grownups complained than dancers really. I've always sent my daughter with water/drinks and snacks to hold her over knowing how long it will be; preparation is everything! I've heard of 4 hour recitals before, where you cannot leave your seat once the doors are closed (other than intermission). Again, BDS is the best studio around for my daughter! She has made some great friends, outside of middle school, that she loves! I don't mind the time spent at the studio to see the smile on her face driving to, during, and driving home from lessons! My daughter switched to this studio last year after dancing at another studio for 8 years, I wish we had made the switch years ago! I cannot say enough good things about Ms Bridget, Ms Christine and Ms Christie! All three are super dedicated, talented, fantastic teachers who are amazingly positive role models. My daughter has grown by such leaps and bounds in one year and most importantly, LOVES to dance. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who will listen to me. The old adage "It's not what is on the outside, but what's inside that counts" is so true here. The studio may not be brand sparkling new with a state of the art viewing room like you'd see on a tv show, but it's certainly not "dirty" or "shabby" as other reviewers have stated either. Have you ever been in someone's home where you're afraid to touch anything, it feels like the people don't really "live" there? I don't know about you, but I much prefer homes where I feel like I belong, where I can put my feet up and relax without fear of breaking something or leaving a mark. And on the inside? Trust me when I say you will not find three more committed, caring, dedicated teachers than here. They all LOVE what they do and love the kids they teach and it shows. I wish I could show you a before and after video of my own daughter, the progress she has made in just one year is absolutely amazing. Bridget's ignited that fire in her that I knew was there all along...you can feel it in her dancing and see it on her face. My entire family noticed it at the recital, she's like a different kid. I was not a dancer...until I was recommended by a friend to Bridget's Dance Studio and began taking classes! My experiences since have been nothing less than amazing and unforgettable! I was completely welcomed with open arms and nicely paced classes. Bridget works so hard to make all her students (including myself) dance and simply have fun! Some studio are all about winning competitions..and even though winning is nice, that's not what this studio's one focus is. BDS is a place where it's fun to express yourself and not worry about being judged. No matter what level dancer you are, from toddler to adult, you will love going to the studio! Even though I have only been there a short time, I feel as if BDS is my second home. It is a great environment that anyone would enjoy being around. All of the teachers are very hardworking and take their time to make every kid dance to the best of their ability while they enjoy themselves! Not only to they teach dance and technique well, but the studio itself is very organized and well run, spacious (with 2 dance spaces and a gymnastics area)and very Clean! Bridget's is amazing! 3 years ago I moved my children from a studio in Weymouth to Bridget's. I have only great things to say! She offers many classes, tuition is affordable, the staff is amazing and really knows their "stuff". The self confidence that they have instilled in my oldest daughter is wonderful! My younger daughter takes 2 dance classes and gymnastics and my older daughter takes EVERY class that she can! My older daughter is on dance team...not only are the dance mom's and dad like a second family to me and my girls...the teamwork between the girls is outstanding. They are always helping each other out and encouraging each other to do their best and have fun. The older dance team girls help out with the younger classes. It is great to see the little kids looking into the eyes of the older girls like they are superstars...especially after the younger ones see the older kids perform. I 100% recommend Bridget's to anyone who is looking for a dance studio! My oldest has been dancing 11 years and this is her 3rd studio...and by far my favorite! I am a very proud "dance mom" and I love to watch my girls perform! My girls and the Teachers have fun and love to dance...and it shows! read more

My daughter is about to enter high school and has taken lessons from Bridgets since she was in the first grade. It has been fantastic experience on so many levels. First and foremost the dance instruction is top notch, as is evident by the numerous awards received at the dance competitions. More importantly, Bridget and her staff really fosters teamwork among the dancers. As part of the dance team the girls treat each other with courtesy and respect because that is how the teachers treat them. We have been to other dance studios where the teachers do nothing but yell, but that is not fun. Bridget's Dance studio is a fun studio where the kids really learn to dance. As far as the reviewer that criticized the cleanliness of the studio, there are alot of classes, and it can be chaotic between the class changes, but the bathrooms and the dance studio are very clean. That reviewer also complained about no where to sit which I find odd, since there are couches and love seats in addition to the folding chairs (which have always been there when I go, which is twice a week!) I cannot say enough good things about the teachers or the entire studio experience. read more

Bridgets is the BEST and most encouraging environment I have come in contact with! The sense of community and family at this dance school makes it one of a kind. I cant speak for negative reviews or why other positive reviews arent "recommended" by yelp....but I can say that I would never send my child or any child I know to another studio. The women of BDS love their girls, any client would back me up on this. It is evident in their approach, dedication and how much the girls love them. Regarding the obviously incorrect and over exaggerated reviews below I have always been able to wash my hands with soap. And no toilet paper is just silly. The staff is and has always been nothing but supportive and caring toward their students. I have been with this school from the beginning and let me say from first hand experience that THIS SCHOOL is the BEST SCHOOL for any child looking to explore the arts in a creative environment with an experienced, caring and attentive staff. My teenage daughter has been with Bridget for two years and loves being a part of the Dance Team. Bridget and her staff have created an environment that allows children to thrive as dancers and teammates while they live out their dreams of performing on a stage. Bridget and her staff are professional, demanding, encouraging and truly want each student to reach her potential as a dancer. My daughter's technique has improved tremendously in just a short time while her love for dance has intensified! As a dancer, choreographer, gymnast and club/college gymnastics coach myself, I've always been critical of the teachers/coaches in my daughter's life. I believe Bridget, Christie and Christine are the best teachers and mentors a parent could ask for. My daughter has been dancing at BDS since she was 3 years old. She is now 13 and a dancer on the Bridget's dance team. She was very excited to receive her 10 year trophy and crown for her commitment and dedication to Bridget's Dance Studio. When she was 3, I put her in dance classes never knowing how much she would love it. I give Bridget and her teachers the credit for making my daughter the dancer she is today and having the love for it! The way they interact with the students and the way they connect with these children is extraordinary. I have taken my girls to Bridget's for Summer camps and classes and her staff is as nice as they come. I just had my daughter's 5th birthday party in her studio and it was the best party we have ever had outside of the house! Bridget is extremely patient and helpful when teaching the kids how to accomplish tumbling or dance moves. Her prices are very reasonable also. We used to attend Lisa's Dance Studio and after going to check out Bridget's there is no competition, Bridget's has it all!! We have food allergies in my house and Bridget went out of her way to make sure there were safe snacks for her during camp last Summer and that blew me away. read more

Bridget's dance studio has the most caring and respectful teachers and owner anyone can ask for. My daughter has been dancing for 5 years and has been on the dance team going on 4 years. I recently took an adult dance class at Bridget's and loved it! I was a dancer in my younger days and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere I found. In talking with the teacher I discovered they recently opened a second studio in Norwell. I will definitely tell my South Shore friends. I also discovered they marched in the Braintree 4th of July parade. What a cool experience for the kids! My daughter has been taking dance at Bridget's dance studio since she was 3 years old (she is ten now). I feel very comfortable with the teachers and they seem very committed to their students. My wife says that they are also the most reasonably priced in the area. They have an occasional drop off night/ parent night off, so parents can go out shopping before Christmas and other holidays which we have used several times and my daughter always loves going to those too. My wife and I had 4 lessons with Bridgett prior to our wedding to help us with our first dance. Bridgett was amazing! After we picked the song, it was obvious she spent a lot time planning our routine ahead of time. Most importantly, she's an excellent teacher. She was very patient and let us know if there was something we needed to tweak. The dance went very well and we couldn't have done it without Bridgett.
