I booked my son's 3rd birthday party here based on the great reviews and I'm glad I did! The thing that sold me was it would be a private event and not shared with other parties which is game changer during these still covid times. I booked the party easily through the website which thoroughly explains everything. I still called to get some answers to misc. questions and Katie was very informative. Sometimes it is hard to get a hold of them on the phone since they are busy doing classes, but they do text which is very convenient! (Of note, different My Gym locations, have different pricing for their birthday parties.) I chose to do a theme upgrade (they have lots of options) of Thomas the Train for an extra $45 which included some balloon decorations, tablecloths, napkins, plates. You could also pay more to extend your party time. You are allotted 1.5 hour for your party, plus an extra about 15 mins to clean up. They do not recommend opening gifts there because of the short time. The package I chose included pizza and juice boxes for the kids. You could pay for more pizza to feed the adults but I decided to bring my own spread of food for the adults. & your free to bring water, snacks, etc. Katie and Angie were our My Gym Specialists and they were amazing!!! You can tell they love what they do! My son was very not with the show in the beginning but once the activities started up he was interested! They kept the kids engaged, laughing, and moving! I have nothing but good things to say about them! They also let the kids run around and do their own things as well! I can't wait to actually sign my son up for classes soon! My Gym Alexandria is one of the best things that we have done with my almost 2 year old son. We look forward to all our classes. My son has a great time learning and playing. It's amazing because there are always new and interesting activities at each class. Katie and Danielle create such a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. Recently moved back into the area with my new baby and we were excited to check this mygym out. We go EVERY week as often as we can, my baby had been going to mygym since maybe 9 months (other location) and has been going to kingstowne for the past 2 months (now she is 12 months). The configuration of the gym changes every week; she has learned so much during structured play classes and especially during open play in the soft playroom, how to crawl climb and even walk! I believe this gym is contributing to her overall fearless personality she is very outgoing with the other babies and gets super excited when we walk in ( she knows it's playtime!). We also play together (socks required for all walkers) so it's great bc it's OUR time to bond. The waddlers classes are excellent: we sing, dance, play, there is puppetry at the end and always a few new "skills" introduced weekly. Highly recommend! read more

We have been going to MyGym for about a month and half now and my daughter asks every morning if she can go to the gym. Is it the day to go to the gym, she says. No sorry it's a school day. I love how much she loves it. At first I was just gonna do a trial class and see how it goes, but I signed up immediately after because the staff was so welcoming and I think my daughter listened to their directions more than mine. We just hosted my son's 5th birthday party here and it was awesome! The gym is perfect for small children and the woman who runs it is so energetic and great with kids. She does all these fun activities with the kids during the party like obstacles to run through, a parachute, and even a zip line the kids can ride. We just attended a birthday party for Emily here and I am over awed by how much fun everyone had and the talent and energy level of the Hostess from the place. She was incredible. She learned names quickly, keep everyone involved and engaged. Had a real talent for entertaining and was age appropriate with the children ( who ranged from 2-7). The pace of the activities was brisk and she actually, really and truly played with them. She was in a constant state of motion for two hours with only one aide who occasionally helped. My daughters' 2 year old birthday party was here. My Gym was very accommodating with my desire to re-schedule due to weather. The actual party organization was great. Reneka be Krissy were the party hosts and they were awesome. I had about 12-17 guests from age range 1 year - 7 years old and every kid had a blast. We tried out all the different kids gyms around including little gym and Gymboree. This started with my first child being just old enough to join at 6 months or so. While just going to the park district (which we also do classes there) or having play dates and mommy groups would be far cheaper, this is worth it, especially if you don't know tons of people around with kids the same age. I'm convinced that it helped our daughter walk sooner watching the others. The teachers are all very good with kids and seem to genuinely like playing with them. The games and play times are full of different events and they do a lot to change it up. If you have multiple kids you only have the pay the initiation fee for the first and they also do discounts on kids parties when you are a member. Keep in mind this very interactive with parents and not a babysitting place. They offer all kinds of options for different days to meet any schedule. read more

We just celebrated our daughters 2 birthday here and we really love it! Great staff, everything was clean, nice and ready for us. Pizza was on time and hot, games were perfect and age appropriate. They helped us serving the pizza, cutting the cake and getting people in and out. They cleaned before and after and made everything so easy! Our guest really loved too and we all had a great time. Well i tried it for an event, (open play and popsicles) where kids were supposed to have popsicles on their way out after they play, unfortunately for me my 3 year old saw the popsicles before he got in lol he had to have the popsicle and go play which was tough since they don't allow eating inside, I thought the event was chaotic considering that some parents are rude in situations like this, like a lady who spotted my son when he sneaked inside with the popsicle unknown to me and instead of telling someone who actually works there or looking for me his mother she took matters in her own hands and saw her guiding him outside (almost pushing him) I didn't say anything but I wasn't happy about it, I know any free event in a weekend will have bunch of weirdos and rude crowd, other than that I saw some of the equipment overused and patched so didn't look really safe, and I don't like their corporate policy since I tried another branch hence the 3 star review. read more

Wonderful! The classes are amazing and the owner, Katie, is very understanding and accommodating - she even did my grandsons birthday party and she helped relieve so much stress off of my daughters shoulders with his first birthday! Her staff is fantastic and very knowledgable (especially Ms. Lexy, my grandson LOVES ms. Lexy!) We've been coming to the gym since he was 3 months old, we did his first birthday party here and adored it, he's 18 months now and we still just can't get enough of my gym! My daughter likes this place and I enjoy watching her have fun here. I would sign her up for an ongoing membership BUT I do not enjoy that this location does not have free WiFi for guests and parents are required to accompany children in the gym area during practice sessions. Other child gyms have WiFi and do not require parents on the floor during practice. I would recommend those over MyGym. read more

Kia and Emma were FABULOUS!!!!!! I don't know if you can special request party hosts but if so definitely ask for them!! My daughter's 3 year old birthday party was here a few weeks ago and from beginning to end they were high energy, fun, nurturing , firm when they needed to be (with both parents and kids alike), engaged, fun, kind, efficient, and all around really wonderful! This is absolutely the best place for a birthday party for this age group. I loved the fact that we had the whole facility to ourselves and that the hosts really do take care of everything and think of everything. Small touches like packing up the gifts for you in big bags to make it easier and tantrum free to take gifts to the car were really nice. I highly recommend this place. It was clean, fun, prices reasonably and a great time was had by everyone. Kia, thank you so much for going above and beyond!! My GYM IS AWESOME!! Granted this is the only place we've tried out along these lines but all it really took was one class. If you are unsure about it, the first class you can try out is free before signing up. My son and I love coming here. It gets us out of the house and around kids his age. They offer interactive class so that you may play right there along with your child and other parents. The classes have group discussion times so that you can go over topics that may be bothering you or just things in general having to do with your child and children their age. It really helps to know that you aren't alone. They do skill stations that are age appropriate to help your little ones work on important sensory and motor skill development. I look forward to taking my son here and watching him grow and develop right along side all these little ones. Its a welcoming break to our every day routine. read more

My granddaughter's Birthday Party was held here today and what a neat place. The owner and her staff were so accommodating and attentive to my daughter's (one who was paying) needs. I kid you not, there were approximately 25-30 2 Year old children, but they maintained a professional attitude and kept everyone (including their parents) happy. I would like to say this is a great place for kids to build socail skills. In todays world are kids are our future. No family is perfect and not every couple stays married- so what about those who are divorced? We love My Gym! Miss Katie and her staff create a safe fun place for us to let our children have fun and learn to enjoy fitness. We threw one of our sons birthday there and it was the best. They took care of everything and not a detail was missed! We truly don't know who had more fun, the kids or the adults. You would have thought that they were throwing money in the air when they started the bubble machine. The kids were screaming with glee and running around. Miss Katie and her staff wore out the toddlers that most of them were asleep before we pulled out the shopping center parking lot. BONUS! Nice place for parties where kids can be kids. The gym area is not too big which ensures that kids stay within a good distance at all times from an adult. There is even a zipline for the kids. read more

We had my daughter's 5th birthday party here and it was absolutely amazing!!! Jasmine and Kia provided my daughter and her friends with a fun filled party that engaged kids of all ages (from 1 - 5 years). My expectation was that the kids would go and have fun on the equipment. I never anticipated how thoroghly entertaining the hosts would be. Jasmine and Kia kept the kids active and laughing. They made my daughter feel so special as the birthday girl!! I signed up here for my 5 month old because they had a class on Tuesday when I don't have my nanny. It's a little further but worth the drive. She didn't like the first class (new and scary) but now she does great. We love Ms Chrissy and Ms Angie! read more

They were not accommodative to our child who was different from other typical kids. They made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. They don't have good customer service and do not treat everybody equally. I do not recommend this place. read more

The manager and staff here are GREAT! We had my son's 3rd and 5th birthday parties here. We've been to parties at the "other" kids gym and this one is much better! We also love the friday night Parents Night Out that we use at least once every other month. My son always asked if HE can go to Parents Night Out because he loves it so much. they feed the kids pizza and entertain them for 3 hours. The kids all feel so special! We've also taken a class here which was fun too. read more
