Small seating area, huge bakery in the back that you can look into, large pastry case and delicious offering of labneh. Plus so much more - I really needed a few hours to take it all in. My girlfriend and I decided to share a pie. They are available in meat and veggie options. You either order as is or you can get it fully loaded. We went full out of course and ordered the zaatar and cheese pie. That and we bought some chips and labneh to snack on. Holy deliciousness! The people are super friendly and the food super tasty. It's just off 32nd and Edmonton Trail NE so pretty easy to find to. Can't wait to return for another pie.

Service was friendly but not particularly knowledgeable. - Bread plate - complimentary with cultured butter - Kid pizza ($12.00) - simple tomato sauce pizza - Grilled calamari ($20.00) - tiny piece - 3x Dinner prix fixe ($50.00) - albacore tuna, melon & prosciutto, lamb kofta, confit duck leg, bombolone and chocolate cremeaux. Tuna was nicely medium rare, not enough prosciutto between the cantaloupe and honeydew. Lamb skewer was gamey, enjoyed the pickled vegetables. Duck leg was decent, carrot velouté underneath was tasty. Italian doughnut was serviceable, chocolate cremeaux was better

We went to Olea for a birthday dinner, and wow, it did not disappoint! Let me start off by saying…read morethat the service was amazing. Our server (if going by the receipt, her name was Kelly) was so personable and gave us her honest opinions on what to order. And the ambiance was excellent as well. We went in for a 6:15pm reservation on a Friday night, and we were pleased to see that it was fairly quiet, warm, and intimate. By the end of the meal, it had filled up and gotten louder, so if you're looking for a quiet date night, maybe try to come for 5:30 or so. And the food--just wonderful. The cider glazed Brussels sprouts dish was perhaps our favorite. I don't think I've ever had better fried Brussels sprouts, and the sweet and savory notes were perfectly balanced. That's also what makes their pear and brie pizza a popular item as well: sweet/savory balance and the correct amount of truffle oil to make fragrant and not overpower. The cavatelli was also excellent, the fennel-lemony flavor helped not make the dish feel so heavy. The saffron arancini was just okay, but everything else was so good that I wasn't unhappy. I was a bit sad that they didn't offer any birthday dessert, but it was still such a fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back again!

Pictures of Greece adorn the walls, typical of these smaller places, nothing too exotic but a comfortable feel. Unlike many small venues, everything here is spotless and the limited number of tables are well spaced. Service is very friendly. Not as punctual as a chain might offer, but it's easy to forget that when your meal is delivered with such joy. The food is excellent, large portions at reasonable prices. We shared the Ribs and Saganaki appetizers, both excellent. My Mixed Grill Soulvaki was delicious. At first glance I didn't think I could eat it all but it was so good that I powered through. Definitely an alternative to more upscale Greek options, might be our go-to from now on.

TL;DR: Don't go on a Friday night…read more The place is tiny and super loud, it's almost impossible to have a conversation. Tables are packed so close together you can practically share appetizers with strangers. If you're a fish lover, you'll probably be fine; but for those of us who don't eat fish (or just hate the smell), it's rough. The whole place reeks, and it's not pleasant. Food itself? Pretty good. Service? Brutally slow. We waited about 40 minutes for our dishes. When the pork souvlaki finally arrived, the server wasn't even sure if it was chicken or pork and just left it up to us to figure it out. Also, fair warning: they have a dish they flame up tableside with zero notice. Nearly singed my ears off. I get that when the restaurant is not packed is amazing. But tonight, they dropped the ball. Hard. That said, not coming back, ever, again.
