The workers are nice but the place is operated different from any other optical store I've been to. it takes forever to get your order if you have to get lenses sent off. Tbh it's not that cost effective. read more

My son visited this office for a routine eye exam and glasses. Lyme the office manager was the absolute best at accommodating all his optical needs. This office is very affordable and and offers a great variety of frames. read more

Lori was so helpful very nice I was very pleased Lori went over and beyond to help with a discount due to Stanton not expecting my insurance which is a form of medicaid. Lori saved me $576.93. All staff members spoke to me as I was picking frames out. Over all very pleasant experience.Thank you all Amy Young read more

The ladies at Stanton are so capable and kind! I visited them to adjust my glasses and Tasha did the best job of anyone who's ever adjusted them! I'm 54 and a lifelong glasses wearer so y'all can do that math. She was lovely and she even thanked my husband for his military service. Thanks Stanton Optical, y'all just became my new Vision Store! read more

They have the best pricing on glasses. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It was my first experience with a virtual eye doctor but I can say it wasn't an issue. read more

Staff are amazing! Robin helped me get my glasses picked out and ordered and she was incredibly sweet! I don't carry vision insurance so 2 pairs of glasses plus for exam for $95 is a great deal!! read more

Staff is unfriendly and has a bad attitude. No one cleaned any of the equipment before of after we used it. Eye dr rushed the eye exam and left is with the wrong prescription. They gave us trials and insisted we wait one day to see if they were good. When we got home they had charged each of us for a 90 day supply Next day we called to tell them the trials were not the right prescription and to cancel the contact lenses (we hadn't even authorized this either). They refused to cancel the order and insisted we come back for a other exam. No thanks read more

If your looking for a top quality pair of glasses cheap, go somewhere else. Yes you can get two pairs of glasses and exam to less than $100 but they will be bottom drawer quality. Another issue for me was the eye exam, there is no optometrist at the store, so everything is preformed virtually. Your exam will not include dilation of your eyes to exam them for disease or issues in the eyes. They will recommend that you have it, but then you're going to have to go to a real optometrist. The only real cost they let you know up front is the virtual eye exam cost of $59. There is no mention of (true cost) of your completed eye wear until you choose your glasses and sit down and get your measurements. I chose a simple frame but did want adjustable nose supports and spring loaded hinges on the frame. After all the measurements, the manager said your total for complete one set of glasses and exam is $279.00, I just told her I'll pay for my exam and take my prescription! Then she said "give me a moment" after a couple minutes she said " I ran some numbers and included a discount which now your total is $159 , $59 dollars for exam and $100 for your complete eyeglasses with everything that was included at the $279 price". So I ordered them, when you walk into the store and see all the signage advertising "easy financing options" you know your not going to get two quality pair of glasses and exam for $95. read more

This was for my experience at the Hickory location on July 14, 2022. I was extremely overdue for new glasses. It's been probably 4-5 years since my last exam and eyewear. Of course the "2 for $99 with a free exam" caught my attention but of course, I found out quickly that deal is for cheap frames and single vision lenses. I ended up getting 2 pair of very nice frames with practically every upgrade available. I needed one pair of high index, progressive lenses and a second pair with their upgraded PhotoMax darkening lenses for a pair I want to use when I'm outside (not at the computer). $622.00 out the door (no insurance) and while that seems a little high to me, $300 a pair for top-of-the-line everything seems fair. PLUS, keep in mind, as soon as I needed a progressive lens, that was $375 right off the bat. I also paid an extra $25 insurance which guarantees me a one time lens replacement cost at 20% of cost. At the beginning I was wondering where the doctor was at. Here they use a tele-doc who comes up on a TV screen and there is a microphone and speaker in the room. The assistant even leaves the room. He has remote control over the Phoropter (the big thing that goes in front of your face to find your prescription). IT WORKED INSANELY WELL! It took 5 minutes for my prescription to be sent to the front lobby where the woman walked me through all the options. She was very knowledgeable and at no point did I feel "sales pressure". I did do some research and the national average for a complete pair of single vision glasses out-of-pocket is $350 so I felt better about what I ended up paying. read more

The eye exam is a ZOOM call with a "DR." The prescription was completely wrong. When I went to a real Optometrist they could not belive the difference. I now have glasses from somewhere else and can see and I am out the money for 2 sets of lenses. read more
