I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about our DJ My Event Pro!!! They were such a huge part of making our wedding day as special and unforgettable as it was. From the very beginning, they were professional, attentive, easy to work with, and really listened to what we wanted for our wedding. The music throughout the entire night was PERFECT. They knew exactly how to read the room, kept the energy going, and had our guests dancing and enjoying themselves all night. Everything flowed so smoothly, from the special songs and announcements to the dance floor, and I never once had to worry about anything. One of the things I appreciated most was how much they cared about making sure our wedding felt like us. Our music was so important to us, and they absolutely delivered. Looking back at our wedding, the music, the energy, and seeing everyone having such a great time are some of my favorite memories. In short: My Event Pros did a *good* job at my wedding. There were several issues, however, for the price, they did accomplish many of the agreed-upon duties, but I can't recommend them whole-heartedly. We (husband and I) found them at a wedding expo and gave them our business because we figured it'd be easier to have 3 "parts" of the wedding (DJ, wedding coordinator, MC) coming from 1 business, to decrease the number of contact points (probably the biggest selling point). Leading up to the wedding, we would have calls with Erika (the wedding coordinator) about 1-2x/month to review details. It would be noted verbally and through the app that they request we fill out. I guess one of my mistakes was that I talked too much. In hindsight, we would ask her to state what the details were and I'd correct her if it was wrong. So, day of, one example that immediately set the tone unfortunately, was her asking me what color the dessert tablecloth would be. This was alarming because I had already filled out their app and sent a PDF with step-by-step details, in order of occurrence for the day. This document had information for everyone (eg. flowers, photo, DJ, MC). I also planned for florals to be organized in a certain manner amongst the tables and my florist informed me later that she attempted to alter my choices. I would also like to note that we (and some guests) felt that the MC was dressed too casually for the caliber of event, particularly because he was in the spotlight quite a bit. A suit would've been appropriate attire, not business casual. The biggest concern and sour memory of the wedding was a last-minute charge, which happened 24 hours beforehand. Our wedding party went through rehearsal with Erika and all was great. We then went to lunch. At the tail end of lunch, Alan called me to say that he was researching the venue and his trailer would not be fitting in the venue's parking structure. Because of this, he would need to rent a U-Haul and, of course, would need to charge me. To clarify: we completely understand charging of a rental unit for that reason. What absolutely appalled us was the fact that he informed me of this charge a literal 24 hours before contract event start time. I empathize with not having experience with every venue, but he knew he had a special trailer that would require additional accommodations. Therefore, research and big charges should have been made earlier; in my opinion, 2-4 weeks in advance at a minimum. At the end of the night, we let them know that they would unfortunately not be receiving a tip as the money we allocated had to compensate for the owner's poor planning. In the end, there were several details and decisions that were missed that impacted the big day. It is regrettable that when we think of the wedding, these are the top things that come up, instead of all the positive. If you are not a detail-oriented person, they will likely perform at a decent level for your needs. read more

They offered discounts and the staff were nice and friendly. We especially thought the photobooth attendant Daniel did a great job. Alan communicated with me and we double-checked every song in the schedule together so I thought everything would go well. Unfortunately, the DJ Trevor played the wrong song during the bride's walk down the aisle even though I got a text at 9:31pm the night before the wedding asking what it was again and had sent it again and had it in their Planning App. He also played the wrong shortened version of our first dance song even though we had the full version in their Planning App. This threw off our whole practiced dance we paid lessons for so we were disappointed. I tried reaching out to Alan after the wedding to communicate some of these concerns including incorrect head count for staff meals, not using all the cold sparklers we paid for, etc. but have not received a reply after 2 months. I can only assume maybe there were some technical or communication errors. We were also told we'd receive all the photobooth photos digitally but never got them. We asked Alan but no reply still so we had to ask for them from the photobooth attendant. I appreciate the work they put in for us and how busy wedding season is but I definitely think communication can be improved to prevent future disappointments, especially since we made a significant financial investment for an expected service and put so much effort and care into planning. read more

You asked if I have IPhone because it work better with Iphone than Samsung. I thought you are fine with that. You should have not let me pay the full amount of $1525 beforehand if you intent to cancel your service if you think there was incomplete information from me. We had events pro at our daughters Sweet 16 on 1/13/2024. They were absolutely amazing and made the whole evening spectacular playing music for the teens, music the little kids liked and the adults liked. The dance floor at no time was empty. This ALLAN CHAVEZ really took advantage of us when he was fully paid $1,525 and cancelled days before our daughter's 13th birthday party. I understand there was a contract and deadlines of program, music requests, time spent etc. but Alan did not practice professionalism, courtesy and customer service. My wife may have been asking a lot and he could have guided her and followed up. Our party is not that big and formal. He states he has been doing this business for 15 years but did not exemplify that description and experienced. Balance was paid on June 15, 2024 and from what i see he waited until June 25 to cancel our event which was on June 29th. This was very stressful to us as parents four days before the event. After he sent cancellation notice. He sent my wife breach of contract reason and we never heard from him. He doesn't have physical office where we can go and reason to him. HARD EARNED MONEY TAKEN! NO SERVICE RENDERED! NO CONSIDERATION WHATSOEVER! This is what we experienced and what was done to us by this business! I hope NO other parents would have to go through what we've been. read more
