Phyllis and Richard were terrific to work with. My wife and I were completely comfortable going into our wedding, and that's in large part due to them explaining everything in detail and giving us the confidence throughout the planning process that they knew what they were doing. Phyllis was the officiant for our ceremony and reception. Her calm, clear delivery (in fluent English and Mandarin) made all of our guests feel comfortable and engaged. She was also able to quickly improvise and react to certain unplanned situations during our reception, which really impressed the wife! Her experience and attentiveness really showed here. Richard was also extremely valuable on the venue floor, making sure we were always in the right place at the right time. Additionally, he made sure our guests always knew where to go. The most important part of any wedding should be that the bride and groom have FUN and not worry about the little things. We'd highly recommend MPS Events if you want things to go smoothly for your big day. read more

Oh my gosh I just want to say I couldn't have done it (or nearly close to it) without my planner Phyllis and our Emcee Richard!! Phyllis was always super responsive, flexible, available, and knowledgeable. I probably bugged her countless times and was always satisfied with her help. Phyllis and I had a long call before the wedding to go over every detail and she was in communication with my vendors. She made my day just simply wonderful, I didn't have to worry about anything on my special day. She is also bilingual and was able to communicate with my mom who preferred to speak Chinese. Richard is also bilingual, we had a couple guests who only spoke Chinese and he picked up on it so quickly to make sure everyone feels included. Richard was soooo fun and energetic, I literally couldn't have asked for a better emcee. My wedding was the first time I've ever met him, and the reception went so smoothly and naturally I felt like he's know us for ages. Lastly, the DJ played all the songs I requested (at the exact min and secs lol) and I was so happy that everything went so well! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL THEIR SERVICES! read more

I just had my wedding at Pacific Palms with the help of Phyllis and Richard. We had been meeting and preparing for months, and the end result was absolutely fantastic. I love that Phyllis is extremely flexible, and allowed us to customize our wedding to the way we wanted it. My wife and I are Asian, but we also have some western influence, so we wanted a fusion style wedding. Phyllis gave us a lot of advice based on what she knew about Asian cultural traditions, but also gave us a lot of freedom to decide how we wanted to have our wedding. She suggested a sand ceremony, which we ended up adding to our wedding ceremony. Richard is an excellent officiant and emcee, and he provided a lot of entertainment without feeling like he was trying to be center stage. The wedding always focused on us, but Richard kept all the guests entertained and happy. He is also multilingual, which was extremely helpful as we had English, Cantonese, and Mandarin speaking guests. The ceremony went super well, with no issues. Phyllis and Richard are extremely calm and confident, which made things go super smoothly. They also helped us add a photobooth to our wedding, which made the event more entertaining for everyone. Phyllis also worked well with the vendors we selected for our wedding, and we had no issues on our end as bride and groom. Thanks to Phyllis and Richard we were able to have the wedding of our dreams. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to plan a wedding, especially to people who have certain cultural preferences or want an officiant/emcee who can speak Cantonese and Mandarin. read more

Excellent!! I highly RECOMMENDED. Phyllis is an amazing coordinator! She is very organized and gets everything running smoothly! She will not waste any time in any of your meetings because her focused goal is to make you and your fiancé have the best day of your life! Having a busy schedule, I appreciate her timeliness, personable character, easy to work with and highly experienced. *** EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE is EVERYTHING! (I have seen things fall apart in my other friend's weddings and it was because of their coordinator's lack of experience or professionalism). Phyllis has the experience in working with the Bride and Groom. She is the perfect wedding coordinator! She will make sure all the details in your wedding, vendors setting up, break down, details to your sweetheart table, ceremony and everything runs smoothly. I had so many details and tasks that I wanted done. She took it and went above and beyond to make our day run so smooth. The most important thing on a wedding day is not to worry about anything. I knew 100% that Phyllis, our coordinator, was going to manage everything. The reason why is because she will review your entire day timeline and will be hands on with everything you need as a bride. My husband is very organized and a detailed individual when it comes to managing a team, so to have a coordinator match that level is beyond our expectations. As a couple, my husband and I collaborated with her and worked together with her on what we wanted done. Phyllis provided us tasks such as creating a list of items that we wanted to retrieve at the end of the night (I.e. ceremony decor, sign in table, wedding gifts, canvas painting, our pictures, candles) and she went through all the items at the end of the night to make sure we received everything back. I was so impressed! She is professional, well experienced, great communicator with the vendors. She will prep with you everything that needs to be addressed up until the wedding day. She knows how to adjust, be flexible, and work right on the spot if things need to be done. She is quick and efficient. Everything you need with a coordinator! She will do a last communication to finalize details with the vendors closer to the wedding date so the information will be fresh in their minds. My entire wedding party was able to focus on taking care of me (the bride) and my needs while I didn't have to worry about any vendors or events in my wedding because I knew Phyllis was going to handle it. Also, Richard her husband stepped in to help when needed. ***There's a lot of leadership and taking initiative in this team, which I highly respect when you have a lot of money and time invested in the production of a wedding***. I am so impressed. Also, my ladies and I did a surprise dance for my husband and we pulled it off because of Phyllis' communication with the DJ and photographers. And ladies, she fluffed my veil perfectly right before I walked down the aisle. The details matter! 100% highly recommend, especially after having a really elegant wedding and everything run smoothly. read more

We were looking for an officiant that speaks both Mandarin and English. We found Phyllis online and found that her husband Richard also offers DJ service, which was perfect for us. Throughout the planning phase, Phyllis was responsive and clear, and accommodated our requests very well. On the wedding day, Phyllis made sure the ceremony went smoothly, and Richard kept our guests on the dance floor during the reception, and also made clear announcements for the cake cutting and the sparkler exit. We were really glad that we worked with Phyllis and Richard! Would definitely recommend them to couples who are planning a bilingual wedding! read more

My husband and I had a very specific idea of the draping we wanted for our wedding reception, and up until about 6 weeks before the wedding we still hadn't found someone who could drape our venue the way we wanted. I found Phyllis on Yelp, emailed her, and received a response within the first 24 hours. We met at my venue and she gave me a rough estimate. We originally had a vendor for linens, but Phyllis offered to match the estimate they gave us, so we got our tablecloths and chair covers from Machs, too. There were many things I forgot about in the planning process, but Phyllis always made sure all the details were in order. Even when I realized about 3 days before the wedding that we needed an extra 10 tablecloths, Phyllis came through. The reception was absolutely gorgeous, and everyone commented on how our venue was completely transformed. On top of giving us exactly what we wanted for our reception, the price was the best we were ever quoted. If you go with Machs Party Studio, you won't be disappointed. read more

Richard was the MC and Officiant for our wedding on 5/4/19 and he exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for someone to ensure that your Cantonese speaking guests don't feel left out of your wedding, give MPS Events a call. We first met at his office for a free consultation and let him know that we were looking for someone who can translate the important parts of the ceremony for our Cantonese speaking guests and to make sure our families and friends had a good time during the reception. Richard was easy going and it was obvious he had many years of experience doing this. We had so many questions and it seemed like we constantly emailed Phyllis, who was more than happy to answer our each one of our questions. On the day of the wedding, Richard showed up about 30 mins prior to the ceremony and we talked about what would be involved with the ceremony. Admittedly, I was a bit worried how he would perform but that went away once the ceremony began. Without ruining it for you in case you're thinking about hiring him, it was a fun night and we've never seen our families have so much fun. It was a blast and Richard was definitely part of the reason. read more

Phyllis from MPS Events officiated a beautiful ceremony for us. Our guests enjoyed it and found it very touching as well as funny (when the best man dropped the rings). Our Mandarin speaking guests were also pleased to find out it was bi-lingual. During our first conversation about our expectations etc., she was helpful and friendly. She helped answer any questions we had about the process. On the day of wedding, she also gifted us mugs to use as a married couple! We definitely recommend MPS events. read more

We learned of Machs Party Studio from a list of wedding coordinators that our venue coordinator provided. As with anything related to a wedding, we wanted the best experience there is. We googled, yelped, and asked around for all of the coordinators on the list and found out that Machs Party Studio have tons of positive reviews on yelp and her office is close to where we lived. We met with Phyllis and told her about our budget and our needs. She provided us with all of her expertise and recommendations that made sense. We did not have a florist and she provided that service with a price quote much lower than what we expect to spend. My wife is the anxious kind and couldn't keep her patience to prepare for the wedding so there were constantly phone calls and emails exchanged between us and Phyllis. Phyllis always seem to answer our questions or address our concerns immediately, if not by the next day. One day before the wedding, we met for rehearsal at the wedding site. Phyllis was patient despite we have a huge presence of relatives. On the day of wedding, Phyllis showed up promptly took over the operation. She had her DJ set up and directed hotel staff where things were supposed to be. Once in a while, she would pop into the preparation room to check on us, making sure things go smoothly. During the reception, Phyllis was our emcee. She was able to communicate with our guests using Chinese Mandarin and English and made our guests comfortable and excited. At the same time, she made sure the reception flows smoothly. At the end of our wedding, we realized that it would not have been as successful without Phyllis keeping on top of things and looking out after us. One of our guests came up to us after the wedding and told us that Phyllis was his wedding coordinator 15 years ago! That should mean something! read more

MPS Events came highly recommended from one of our friends - since they specialize in Asian American weddings with fluency in English and Mandarin (among others), MPS was a perfect fit for our needs. They were outstanding and surpassed all of our expectations for our wedding in May 2019! It was clear from the very beginning that we were in great hands given their overall experience, professionalism and expertise in wedding planning. We had an initial phone consultation with Phyllis who was extremely patient and thorough in addressing all of our questions. Afterwards, we met with Richard one month prior to the wedding to review the details and timeline. Richard did an exemplary job in serving as the officiant for the ceremony as well as master of ceremonies for the reception. He made lighthearted jokes throughout to keep everyone loose and entertained our guests beautifully, including incorporating fun games which allowed us to relax and watch our guests have fun. This made our special day even more magical and memorable! Richard, we are eternally grateful for your kind assistance and hard work at the wedding. We received countless compliments and have never seen our families and friends have so much fun. It was a huge success! Kathleen and I give MPS Events our highest recommendation!!! It's a no-brainer to hire them and will easily be the best decision you make during the entire wedding planning process! read more

MPS events was one of the recommendation by our venue and my wife and I are glad we picked them. Phyllis and her team did a great job coordinating everything for us. Like most wedding there may be chaos and delays but have no fear with Phyllis leading the way. At first we only hired Phyllis to be our wedding planner but as we talked more in detail we ended up using them for up lighting, chair covers/sash, slideshow projector, photo booth, DJ, Emcee, and officiant. If they had more services we would have probably gotten it from them too. Needless to say, it felt good knowing everything was in good hands and everyone was on the same page during this special day. So if you have a wedding or any party event coming up, consider MPS events as your planners. You'll be glad that you did. Thank you Phyllis and Richard for all your hard work. read more

When I first met Phyllis, I knew right away that I wanted her to help coordinate my wedding. I've met with a few coordinators who are nice and lower in cost, but Phyllis gave off this unique motherly vibe, professional in-charge demeanor, and given her years of experience (esp at my venue at Pacific Palms Resort), I felt an instant sense of reassurance that she will run the show and not let anyone/anything screw up my big day. The process of wedding planning is stressful enough, so I was even more drawn to working with MPS Events for their bundled services (i.e. lighting, DJ/MC, "month-of" coordination) which made things easier, and I got my chair covers/sash through Phyllis as well. Depending on your budget, everything about wedding expense was a shocker for me - expect 4-5 digits for the total for each vendor categories. It will be money well-spent IF you find the right person to work with. Many people doubt the role of wedding coordinators, but boy, when comes 2 weeks til your wedding, with a laundry list of undone to-do list, Phyllis helped tie everything together. She made us feel at ease, and as the wedding day approached, I learned to just let it go and told myself "I'm sure Phyllis will take care of it." She was always there for me, quick to respond in texts/email/phone, and even grabbed my hand to sneak me out of reception to take a quick potty break - something I didn't even think about! Richard was my MC as I needed someone who is fluent in both English/Cantonese. He was a CHARM! From our view at the sweetheart table on stage, my husband and I saw all our wedding guests (ages from 6-91) engaged, laughing, and had a great time throughout the night. Our reception was so full of entertainment that some of our families "complained" to us that they had SO much fun they forgot to touch their phones to take pictures. Richard was truly a natural and genuinely funny - we are having wedding withdrawals as we keep wanting to relive the night! Many guests from our wedding commented that our wedding was "one of the best days of their lives" and I could not be more grateful for Phyllis & Richard - this power couple will make your wedding day unforgettable and THE best day of your lives. read more

Wow, where do I begin!! Let's start with how amazing Phyllis is! My wife and I decided to go with Phyllis as our wedding officiant primarily due to her being fluent in Mandarin. However, we very quickly realized there's so many more amazing things about Phyllis than just being fluent in Mandarin. Phyllis patiently and thoroughly answered all 5,325 questions we asked (I am exaggerating about the number of questions, though we did ask a lot). She gave wonderful insight and suggestions as to how our wedding ceremony should flow. Phyllis came up with a creative idea for me to say my vows in Mandarin which was a huge hit with our guests since I only speak English and Spanish, not Mandarin. In me and my wife's opinion, the highlight of our ceremony was the guests laughing at my attempt to speak Chinese and little did Phyllis know, we were all for the comic relief during the ceremony, so her suggestion was PERFECT! She made us feel so at ease the day of our wedding and many of our guests said so many great things about her and how well she officiated our wedding! Do yourself a favor and hire Phyllis as you will not regret your decision. It is not a coincidence that she and her company has a perfect Yelp rating! Phyllis, my wife and I sincerely appreciate all you did to help make our wedding day a huge success! We can't thank you enough for that! read more

Richard was our DJ on our big day! Very professional and he played all the songs from the list I gave to him. The dance music selection was also really great! I actually didn't expect a lot of people will join the dance floor as half of our guests are family members and also from our culture. However, when the dance music starts, everyone come to the dance floor and the whole reception became a dance party immediately! Highly recommend! read more

I hired them for DJ and emcee service for my wedding banquet. Phyllis was very helpful and organized. She made sure to find out and help me figure out the banquet timeline Richard was my emcee and he was great. His guidance was invaluable during our wedding banquet. I also had a lot of fun with the games he hosted. I really enjoyed the music selection the DJ played during my event, which he based on my two song requests (grand entrance and first dance songs). Overall I was very satisfied with my service. They were always ready to answer any questions. read more

Richard did an amazing job as Emcee of our wedding. We had to deal with bad weather and awful traffic that day. It completely threw the timeline off schedule. Richard managed the time very well and entertained the guests beyond our wildest dreams. We will be sure to recommend him to anyone looking for their services. read more

Incredibly disappointed in the service provided. We hired Richard with the expectation that he would speak more Chinese at the wedding, but instead of providing the services he offered when we signed him, he mostly spoke English and barely entertained the party. Nothing was discussed before announcements of events and he left fairly early in the night. What kind of master of ceremony doesn't work harder to keep the party rolling? The MC we hired from Mach bridal services. Other reasons for the disappointment? We bought three gifts for three separate games to be played throughout the night, but instead of speaking with the couple about game ideas or at least how many games we would like, he played one dull game with our guests. Most of our guests were left wondering why there weren't more games or at least more interactive games played. Another disappointment? Rather than break up the speeches of the night (we had four total, one from each matron of honor and best men) he had all four people speak consecutively. Who does that? That's just a sure fire way to bore the audience. especially an audience with at least half the guests not fully understanding English. He could've thought better and had just two speak at a time. There was plenty of time throughout the night to space out the speaking events. I would not recommend this service to anyone. I was very disappointed. Especially because he presented himself so well at our initial interview. Cheers to those of you who had better experiences but I was not so fortunate. Tip? If you choose to hire them? Make sure you give them very specific expectations otherwise you will be disappointed. He basically did the bare minimum. Fail read more

We had a great experience with Mach's! They are very friendly, responsible and responsive through email (the pre-planning details). On the day of the wedding, they arrived very early to set up and get ready for the ceremony and the banquet (which were at different locations). We had some videos and slideshows going and they were willing to help with making sure those ran smoothly. They even stayed half an hour beyond their contract time and didn't even charge us for it (even though it clearly stated on their contract that overtime would be charged $150/hour)!! SOO NICE!!! Very flexible and wonderful officiants! Originally we had booked with Richard to be our officiant at our wedding. We had been referenced to him in the past by my wife's sister whom also had him as their officiant and they had high praise for him. When we met with Richard, he was very open with us about his role on our wedding, what we needed to bring and have prepared for him, and the general flow of the event. All of this made us much more comfortable with the ceremony portion of our wedding, since we had (at the time) not had very much experience/knowledge about the different styles of ceremonies and what we could customize as part of it. As we got closer to our wedding date, we unexpectedly had to move the time of our ceremony. While Richard was not able to continue being our officiant due to scheduling conflicts, Phyllis was able to step in and she was just as open and professional in helping us get ready for the big day. She provided us with multiple options to how we wanted our ceremony to be performed (we wanted something non-denominational and relatively short, but with personal vows) as well as examples of other couples' personal vows to give us some ideas for when we were creating our own. On the day of the wedding, she came early to meet up with us before the ceremony and to give us a final rundown and make sure we were comfortable with everything. When the ceremony started, Phyllis was amazingly reassuring and performed her duties flawlessly. We could not have asked for a better officiant to be at our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for one. Thank you Phyllis and Richard! read more

Phyllis was such a great find, and I am so happy I used Machs Party Studio for my wedding! I had my wedding at the Universal Hilton a few weeks ago, and we hired Machs Party Studio for our DJ services, Emcee services, and as my Day of Coordinator. Phyllis was always on top of everything in terms of planning out the day for my wedding. She's very responsive to emails, and would answer all my questions in less than 24 hours. She was very proactive, and definitely knows what she is doing. My husband, at first, didn't think we needed a day-of-coordinator (He thought I was superwoman, and can do everything myself without any help). However, at the end of the night, he was very pleased with her services and was glad we opted for a coordinator. It was because of Phyllis that my wedding ran very smoothly and without any problems. Thus, we were able to actually enjoy the party! Richard was awesome as my emcee as well. He is very personable, charming, and knows how to read a crowd. I was nervous at first since my wedding night was my first time actually meeting him, but I knew I made the right choice right away after seeing him address all my guests. Overall, I am very happy that I chose Machs Party Studio to help plan my wedding and would definitely recommend them! read more

My wedding was on 9/4/2016 and I found Mach Studios on Yelp and just like most people I cannot be more thankful to Phyllis and her husband. I scheduled an appointment to meet with Phyllis and I was hesitant at first. But somehow my Fiance (at the time) was convinced at what Phyllis presented to us and we just had to book them the day of. We got a package that included DJ services, open air photobooth (with photobook) and day of coordinator. DJ SERVICE: It was really important for me to find a DJ that speaks Chinese at the wedding as we have a tradition to introduce the family in Chinese (and English) of course. They were also very helpful and great on entertainment in general :D. I have never seen my Aunt cry so hard from laughing. DECORATIONS: We got the lighting package for our venue. It was really pretty to have purple lighting lamps that made an elegant pattern around the room. We also got a gobo light with our names and date on the back wall. It was a really nice touch to have that and make it much more elegant. PHOTOBOOTH: The photobooth was really fun. I liked the open air concept because it allowed for people in line and people passing by to the restroom to see what was going on. What I love also was that there was not only a book to put the pictures in but also a web link of ALL the photobooth pictures. That was definitely a nice touch. DAY OF COORDINATION: Phyllis was amazing on the day of and actually she helped me even before the actual day. After our first meeting, we met once more and was able to revise / update the contract when needed. It was also very nice of Phyllis to be able to answer my questions via email and even gave me quotes whenever I asked for it. During our 2nd meeting she really broke everything down with the schedule and how to run the rehearsal. Phyllis even gave enough time for our group to do a quick rehearsal between my tea ceremony and the garden ceremony. There was a lot of little details that I found about later that I didn't know of during the wedding which was taken care of by Phyllis. It was really great to have her around so that the Venue can just communicate with her. Overall we had a lot of support and it was very easy going. We were able to add an extra hour of DJ service for relatively cheap as well. read more

We hired MPS Events for coordination, DJ, Emcee, lighting, and photo booth services for our wedding at Diamond Bar Center on April 30, 2017. Phyllis did an amazing job and really took a lot of stress off our hands the day of the wedding. She is very experienced and gave us a lot of valuable insight when it came to planning our wedding. Phyllis is always very responsive and typically replied within a couple hours to all my questions and needs. Richard was a great emcee - he was funny and we loved that he was able to incorporate English, Mandarin, and Cantonese so all of our guests could feel involved. The DJ, lighting, and photo booth services were also perfect. Both of us had a great time taking photo booth pictures with our guests and seeing them work on a scrapbook for us to take away at the end of the night. I would definitely recommend all services at Machs Party Studio for a wedding. We hired Phyllis as our wedding planner and Richard as our MC with the whole package of DJ and lighting. I had a wonderful wedding day with their help. Phyllis coordinates everything smoothly and kept up with time. She also referred very good vendors for us and helped us negotiate a very attractive rate. Richard is the best MC we would ever expected in the US. He provided the service half in English and half in Chinese. It was a challenge for him since some of our guests only understand Chinese and some of them only understand English. I have to admit that his Chinese is not perfect, but it was his energy that kept every guest engaged. His performance was really beyond our expectation. If you are planning a wedding, contact Phyllis earlier. She will never disappoint you! read more

Hiring Machs Party Studio as our wedding MC, DJ, and lighting was one of the best decisions we made. We planned our entire wedding to be in California while going to school in Oklahoma. We didn't hire Machs Party Studio to be our wedding planner as they do provide that service, but they went out of their way to contact our other vendors and our hotel to ensure their lighting will match all the decorations our other vendors and hotel would be providing. They even contacted us about our hotel changing banquet rooms on us before the hotel even told us. The day of the wedding, our MC Richard really set the mood for the entire event and kept everyone happy, laughing, and enjoying every moment of our wedding. With everyone in a good mood, it really help to make our wedding a memorable event not only for my wife and I, but for all those people close to us. If I can only choose one word to describe Phyllis and Richard it would be this: amazing, professional, efficient, delightful, funny, and helpful. Ok, I could not describe them with just one word. We hired Phyllis to be our officiant and Richard to be our emcee. We also used MPS' DJ and lighting services. Let's start with Phyllis, when we met with her six months ago, she helped us lay our road map as to what needed to be done. And whenever we had a question, she was able to answer them immediately. After we shopped around for DJ's and lighting services, we realized that she offered the best deal and had the best selection of lights and colors. During the big day, Phyllis knew exactly what to do even though we did not have time to rehearse. She conducted the ceremony efficiently even though she needed to talk in both English and Chinese. We had both a sand and rose ceremony and Phyllis guided both my wife and I through both ceremonies with ease. As for Richard, all I have to say is that if you have an event, this guy can do it. Our guests were a mixture of older and younger people and both Chinese and non-Chinese. Nevertheless, Richard was able to keep everyone entertained and the reception flowing like a smooth river. I would definitely recommend using Phyllis and Richard for your wedding. Of course we can't use Phyllis to be our officiant again (well maybe if we wish to renew our vows), but we will surely be keeping Richard in mind for our future events. read more

Last March 29th, I helped planned a party for one of my best friend. It was surprise party for her husband. The guests were mostly Chinese and not all of them are fluent in English. I only had two weeks left before the party when I realized that we needed an emcee that can speak both English and Mandarin and keep the guests entertained. Enter Mach's Party Studio I found them on Yelp and emailed them right away. Phyllis called me that afternoon. She agreed to meet us right away and told me to sent her the program for the party that night. She replied with several recommendations and added helpful details. She has 20 years experience as a Wedding Coordinator and a Planner. She also gave us an awesome Emcee/ Audio Visua/DJ package plus a Photo Booth rental. Richard and Phyllis arrived early that day to set up and Phyllis even helped us out with our dessert display. Needless to say , the whole night went on smoothly without a hitch! Richard is the emcee and handled the night smoothly. Richard brings an energy to the crowd ( do you know how reserved Chinese can be?) and kept everyone involved. I have to say they are a good husband and wife team. I forgot to mention that they even brought their son Kevin to take care of the Photo Booth for the night. Talk about the family business. I will surely hire them again for my next party. read more

Phyllis and Richard are the the best. I looked around for a long time for a bilingual wedding planning team for my Chinese-American fusion wedding, and I am so glad I had them as part of our wedding. Phyllis is a very experienced and sophisticated planner. During the planning stage, not only does she listen to my ideas, she would often times surprise me with her opinions and creativities to make my ideas even better. Every vendor she recommends is top notch. Just like other reviewers commented here, as the wedding MC, Richard has the best sense of humor and really knows how to get the crow going. 80% of our guests are our parents' long term friends, so we were really worried that the dance floor was going to look empty and the crowd was going to be too quiet. Richard was able to get almost everyone get up and dance with us. It was a blast and we couldn't have been happier. On our wedding day, Phyllis and Richard went above and beyond to make sure everything was absolutely perfect, and everybody in their team was super nice and professional. Looking back, I couldn't even imagine how I would have survived this process without their input. Definitely a 5-star for the impeccable work and I would highly recommend Machs Party Studio to anyone! read more

If you only read one part of my review, let it be this: do not hesitate to work with Phyllis and Richard for your event! You will be in such good hands. They both have a ton of experience and from the beginning made the entire process simple for us. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the two of them. They are both so professional and easy to work with. Phyllis had an extremely quick response time to all of my calls, texts, and emails. Hiring both Phyllis and Richard to emcee our Chinese wedding reception was hands down one of the best decisions that we made. Weeks after the event, we were still receiving comments from friends and relatives about how fantastic the emcees were. One thing that sets them apart is they were able to emcee the reception in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese with complete fluency, which was necessary for our guests. If I recall correctly, Richard is more comfortable with Cantonese and Phyllis is more comfortable with Mandarin, although they both seemed flawless in communicating in all three languages, which blew me and my fiance away. They had a few games that kept the guests engaged and it was nice to see people getting legitimately excited about participating in the games and winning the prizes. The games were really fun for everyone and didn't involve us doing anything humiliating in front of our friends and family. Phyllis went above and beyond by helping us with the timeline and she and Richard were critical to making sure that the wedding ran smoothly. I know they offer other services such as wedding planning and event lighting as well. I would recommend Machs Party Studio to anyone that's starting the wedding planning process. read more

Phyllis was a wonderful and necessary investment we made for our wedding. She was always there for me when I had questions or concerns about any of the details I was unsure about. She made every accommodation we asked for and was very patient with our requests. We received nothing but positive feedback from all our family and friends. The price was affordable and the service provided surpasses the price you pay! Richard, Phyllis' MC was also a crowd favorite and we enjoyed every moment he was at the Mic. read more

We had our wedding over Thanksgiving weekend. We only hired Mach Party for the MC portion. Richard was great! His team was on time on that day and ran the reception according to the schedule and timeline we set. Richard speaks three languages fluently (Cantonese, Mandarin, English), which is very important for us since my side speaks Cantonese and my wife is from Taiwan. Both Phyllis and Richard are very responsive. We met Richard in person twice and had one phone call prior to the wedding to set the plans and schedule. This is the key, communications. You have to make sure to tell him what you want and how much time you want to spend on each activity. He will provide you ideas and feedback, but you make the ultimate decision. read more

Phyllis was the ceremony officiant for my wedding on 8/19/2018. She's definitely the one I have to thank the most for the beautiful and smooth ceremony. I went to a couple other bilingual / mandarin and English weddings and no doubt she's the most skilled and professional officiant I've ever seen. Thanks for passing us the vow cards and giving us cues at the ceremony. My guests and family are all impressed at her officianting. It was 90 degree in Fullerton and super humid on that day. It was tough to work but she has been always so patient the entire time. She's super responsive in the planning process as well. She responded to my questions so fast even when she was traveling oversea. My husband and I are very grateful at her service and support and wanted to take a moment to say thank you!! read more

This review is based on Mc services, photobooth, DJ and lighting for my wedding. I first met with Phyllis who was very responsive to our questions. She made sure to meet all our needs and goals for the wedding. She is very easy to reach and approachable. For the MC services, Phyllis's husband, Richard was the MC. He was extremely entertaining and assertive. It was extremely helpful as he was able to speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He was able to translate English to Cantonese and Mandarin very efficiently. All my guests were very happy to be informed of all the little instructions at my wedding (parking, centerpiece instructions etc...). I would recommend Richard even to those who just need a plain English speaker. As for the photo-booth, there are no complaints. Great quality and great props. The DJ was also great. You can have your own wedding list songs created on spotify to provide to them to play at the wedding. The lighting they provided also created a perfect environment for the wedding. All in all, this company is a one stop shop. They provide everything from coordinating, photobooth, DJ, MC and lighting. They also provide you a discount when you utilize more of their services. I would easily recommend their services to anyone. They did a great job creating a perfect environment for my wedding. They also worked really well with my friend who was the wedding coordinator for the wedding. Phyllis and Richard, thank you again for all your hard work at the wedding. People are still talking about the wedding to this day. It was a huge success! read more

Highly recommended! Read my personal story below :P I met Richard at a friend's wedding, and his sense of humor made the whole reception environment fun and unforgettable. A year later, my boyfriend proposed to me and we decided to get married in 2 months without knowing what it takes to plan a wedding. And i simply wanted to do the planning on my own to meet all my expectations. Then I thought of Richard, and wanted to hire him to be my MC. I found their info and contracted them to be my MC and DJ. I honestly did not expect much beside what i paid for, to my surprise, phyllis initiated so many conversations to make sure i'm on the right page, making sure i have all the rundown schedule correct, giving me so much info+comments+suggestions+recommendations for my wedding. She gave me so much help when i was "LOST" in the mist of 2 month wedding planning. She is definitely on top of things when it comes to wedding planning. Phyllis and Richard are also very nice in person :) They made a perfect couple! On my wedding day, i had no regret hiring Richard because he made the whole reception environment so fun! 80% of my guests got up and danced around the room following his lead towards the end of reception, it has definitely made our wedding day so unforgettable! One small note, i recommend listening to DJ's main songs beforehand to make sure the songs are the correct versions if you are going to hire their DJ. Not saying their music are bad, but there were a couple songs that wasn't in the right version as i expected ( it's partially my lack of communication with them) One more surprise, they will actually send out gifts to customers after the wedding :) Not going to tell you what they are, but they are very thoughtful. read more

I went to my friend's wedding last year and they hired Phyllis and Richard as their wedding planner & MC. I felt it was a very happy wedding and thought if one day I'm getting married, I would want to have a happy wedding too! Phyllis & Richard did not disappoint us. All my guests were having so much fun and the whole night went so smoothly. The lighting and the centerpiece were so beautiful, even the music were so great!! I got so many compliments about my wedding. Phyllis even helped me to set up all my sign-in, album table & food table due to my tight schedule. When my helpers arrived at the hotel, everything were ready. All they need to do is to greet & sign-in the guests. My husband and I were so glad we hired them for our wedding. Thanks Phyllis & Richard!! read more

We had Phyllis as our wedding officiant and MC, they also provided DJ service for us. We had a great experience with this crew. They made the whole event so effortless for us. We really liked the games they selected for us at the wedding. All of our guests were very involved. Phyllis did a great job facilitating the reception. I would definitely recommend them to my other friends who will get married soon. Thank you, guys! read more

We had a wonderful experience working with Phyllis and her team at MPS Events! Phyllis was our officiant and coordinator while Richard was our MC. Phyllis was so organized and was on top of things. Even though she was our day of coordinator, she was constantly checking in throughout the planning stages and answered all our questions. We were set on a vision of our wedding and trusted the advice and opinions she had. They are bilingual in both English and Chinese and really helped us a lot with the organization and timeline of the wedding. We were both so grateful for them especially at the end of the night. We also recommend that a rehearsal be done beforehand because things can get pretty hectic the day of the wedding. Phyllis and her team are so talented in many ways. There's so much more to praise them for! I enjoyed working with them and look forward to recommending them to our friends! read more

I am a wedding coordinator in the Orange County area and this was our first time working with Mach Studio. It was such a pleasure working with Phyllis and Richard and their team. They blew me away with their professionalism and how courteous they were. They have been in business for a long time and I like working with vendors who's humble and work as a whole team to make the bride and groom's day perfect. My client booked Mach Studio for dj, mc, lighting and photobooth and I was very pleased with everything they did. Richard our MC kept the crowd going from start to finish and the dance floor was packed the whole night and that impressed me the most since it was a small wedding of 120 guests. I look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

We used Machs Party Studio for DJ, emcee, lighting, and coordination ("Yes I Do" coordination package) for our wedding on 3/21/15. Richard, our emcee, captured the crowd with his personality, jokes and games. He was able to engage everyone from our Americanized friends to Chinese relatives due to his fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. There were lots of laughter that night, and many complimented us on our choice of emcee. Of course, none of the wedding details would've been possible without Phyllis the coordinator. Throughout wedding planning, she was our primary contact. We trusted her advice drawn from her many years of experience. The timeline she created for us included everything we wanted. At the same time, she did not hesitate to let us know when an idea was not practical. The DJ did a great job playing songs my husband picked out. We also booked our florist through Machs Party Studio. The florist worked with our budget while making our venue beautiful. In the end, we recommend Machs Party Studio for your wedding needs. read more
