I even recommended this office to family members, and now I feel deeply guilty. Due to the treatment plan provided by Dr. Bowden, one of my family members now has to have six teeth removed. ​My personal experience with Ranita and their clear aligners was terrible. The aligners are subpar, off-brand quality with virtually no information available about them online. They don't clarify that you aren't getting Invisalign, leaving you to assume you're receiving a name-brand product. The aligners constantly cracked, and when I called the office, Ranita simply told me to keep wearing the broken set until my next scheduled swap. ​When my final set broke, I went in for a new scan, only to be met with months of complete silence. I went back for a second scan, and again, months passed without a single follow-up. ​Frustrated by the total lack of communication and care, I finally moved on and scheduled an appointment with Orthodontic Experts Chicago. They immediately provided the quality care and results I needed. Save your time and money--do not go to Woodlawn Dental Gallery for aligners.

Saturday, January 18, 2025 11:30 AM Scheduled Appointment…read more MY REVIEW I left out of the dentist office around 1:50 PM today. I am still sitting here in the parking lot. He's an AMAZING dentist . This dentist has the PATIENCE OF A SAINT, especially having to deal with me and my anxieties. He did something that NO OTHER DENTIST has ever done for me. He took his time. He didn't try to rush the process. He talked me through. First he numbed my gums with topical anesthetic. Shortly thereafter he followed up with a needle injection with local anesthetic. Whenever and wherever I told him that I could feel the pinch or hit a nerve, he IMMEDIATELY provided me with additional local anesthetic. It got to a point where I NO LONGER COULD FEEL A THING. I settled in my seat and let him work. At 61 years old, this is the first real dentist visit that made me feel that he listened to me, he heard me, and he obliged me. He focused on my comfort. I was crying with all of the needle injections, but then the meaning of my tears changed from pain to joy as I realized that I was finally going to get through the dental service that I needed and I now have a dentist that I am going to stick with forever. I still can't feel the right side of my face, but the anesthetic is slowly but surely wearing off. I was given a couple of prescriptions for the pain, but I am going to go ahead and try to sleep through the pain without any medicine. I have a short visit with the dentist on Thursday and then I have another Saturday appointment for him to work on the left side of my mouth. The dentist mentioned those slightly loose teeth at the bottom front of my mouth. They were loose enough that if he removed 100% of the plaque between the teeth, he said that he was afraid that they would fall out. Thus, during my next procedure in February, he's going to create a type of splint to keep those slightly loose teeth stabilized while my gums begin to heal and get stronger. Ultimately, if everything goes as planned, I will KEEP ALL 32 OF MY TEETH. Heading to Smoothie King and then home. I don't think that I will be able to eat nothing but soft foods for a few days. This is a fairly expensive journey, but it's one that can yield an abundance of dividends. I'm finally going to have both my of daughter's smiles. The confirmation system is the main issue: if you don't confirm within their text window (for context; I was already having phone issues and not receiving some texts a few weeks ago) then you get a follow-up message giving you only one hour before your appointment is canceled. That's unrealistic for people who work and can't always get to their phone right away. I called back during my lunch break three minutes after the cancellation text came in and was told my appointment had already been given away. In three minutes? That doesn't make sense. Then suddenly I was told I could have my appointment back after I complained. How can it be given away and then magically available again? Either I was misled, or the scheduling process is completely disorganized. On top of that, the communication was unprofessional. Being told "that was my bad" & with an attitude the whole time we spoke by someone in management is unacceptable in a medical office. It's disappointing because the dentist themselves is great, but the front office experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I strongly suggest better training in professional communication or hiring staff who understand how to speak to patients respectfully.

The office is extremely nice and has beautiful art from local artists all through the hallways and patient rooms. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly and got me into the patient room on time. They even surprised me with a complimentary massage therapy session from their on-staff masseuse while I waited....WHAT?!?!?! I couldn't tell if I was at the dentist office or the spa! As always, Dr Bowden was very hands-on for my cleaning and talked to me at length about my dental needs. Dr Bowden, his office and staff are the epitome of professionalism and great service. There's no one else I would ever trust my grill with and I actually can't wait for my next dental appointment....when have you ever heard anyone say that?????

They will make canceling those weird charges seem like a grand gesture, which is false. In reality, it is an attempt to save face because you called them out. I have pretty bad dental anxiety and had a previous bad experience with another dentist, so I was honestly nervous coming in. But Dr. Ademola Adekola Jr., DDS (Dr. A) and his team were compassionate, transparent, and very accommodating, which made a huge difference for me. Dr. A is hands down the best dentist I've ever encountered!! He's knowledgeable, caring, and uses technology expertly. You can tell he was meant to do this.
