    Single origin espresso (Ethiopia)
    Felix W.

I got espresso. The single origin (Ethiopia) and house blend. Both were well executed. The single origin was fruit forward on the nose. The shot had good crema and was not bitter or burnt. It was bright and acidic with fruit and floral notes. The texture was lighter than I prefer but not watery 3.5/5. The house blend was more my style. Nutty and chocolatey notes came through and were balanced with light acidity. Same good layer of crema and texture that was light for my taste 4/5. They also had a solid pour over selection with the different beans. Worth a try next time I visit.

MY Coffee Roastery is an adorable little shop tucked into Berkeley's bustling streets. Parking can be tricky, but we lucked out with a spot right in front, definitely a win. I ordered an affogato and a tiramisu. The affogato came in a stylish glass that was a bit awkward to drink from, but the presentation was lovely. The tiramisu? Absolutely perfect. I'm not sure if it's house-made or sourced, but either way, it was delicious. There's seating available, though I imagine it gets competitive during peak hours. Customer service was efficient, quick to take your order and move on, which makes sense given how fast the crowd cycles through. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. Great coffee, tasty desserts, and a cozy vibe. Worth a visit if you're in the area and craving something sweet with your coffee fix.

I'm not sure when I bookmarked this coffee shop but I was in the are this weekend so I was able to try it out. There's plenty of street parking nearby and the cafe itself is cozy yet so spacious. I was greeted by the sweetest lady, not sure if she was the owner but she was just so lovely and kind. I really appreciated her warm and kind energy. I ordered the cold brew with vanilla and it was probably one of the best cold brews I've had. It was smooth and not too bitter and the vanilla was a nice touch to it. I will definitely go back whenever I'm in the area!

Love this cute little cafe! I especially love knowing they use actual orange blossom and lemon for their lattes. There's indoor and outdoor seating and when it's cold, they have the heaters on. The service is good too and I'll definitely be back!

Stumbled across this lovely little cafe while walking around Berkeley. The cozy cottage/Lord of the Rings/elf vibe is what initially drew me in! I was happy to find that the vibes were just as special inside. The staff was super friendly and there was virtually no line! I got my matcha latte with cute art within just a few minutes. It tasted great. They also offer free wifi and a nice warm heater. There is also outdoor seating in the back. I would definitely come back!

I tried their Mocha and their Almond croissant. The mocha has a light flavor and the chocolate is just right, not too sweet. Their Almond croissant is my favorite fluffly and soft especially when warmed up. Christine is a wonderful lady, you can feel her presence and energy. I love the vibe there, indoor and outdoor and plenty of outlets. I've been there many times and i will definitely go there again.

Very cottage core, with the sweetest staff! I love the Totoro decor and the coffee was yummy! I also appreciate how they don't charge extra for alternative milk :)

MY continues to be a sweet, high quality, cozy mom&pop coffee shop in Berkeley! When I stopped by today I tried their Hojicha Latte with Oatmilk ($6.50). The milk substitution was free which I appreciated, and the drink was well balanced with sweetness and tea flavors just right. The shop owners are so kind and greet you with a smile as you walk in. Definitely a nice little place to stop for a pick-me-up, get some work done, or hang out with a friend.

My oh my, what a dreamy cafe! My best friend raved about her experience at My Coffee Roastery and took us here for a drink. The experience is quite enchanting. The exterior mimics a rustic cottage while the inside is cozy and peaceful. It's a popular cafe amongst students and residents working quietly. Service is prompt, friendly, and cordial. My best friend spoke highly of the Orange Blossom Latte; I ordered that iced with Oat Milk. The drink was citrusy, vibrant, and strong. Drinks come with a double shot and dairy alternatives are available. She got the same thing and we both sipped blissfully. For those seeking a calmingly cute cafe experience with quality drinks and friendly service--My Cafe is your place! It's located off MLK Way with residential parking. The drinks are strong and quality crafted, plus it's a cozy place to work or chat.

    Hojicha latte

I decided to order a hojicha latte since I haven't seen it commonly offered at most coffee/tea shops. I asked for it to be iced, so not sure if that caused an extra $0.50 since it was $6.50 (excluding my tip) and the menu board had said $6. I opted for whole milk. The baristas made the drink really fast. It was rather pricey for a small cup, so that is the main reason I didn't rate it higher, but otherwise the hojicha itself was decent. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating, so I saw quite a few students studying here on a Sunday.

Love Artis Coffee!…read more My wife and I haven't been on Fourth Street Berkeley in a long long time! Thankfully while doing some shopping and after a great meal at Divan Restaurant a few block away we popped into Artis Coffee. Wow! It was after 4 pm but what the hell, I ordered a cappuccino and my wife order a defca cappuccino, several pastries and took in the HUGE space! Our cashier was very friendly and appreciated our humor and debate on whether to have a "decaffeinated" cappuccino or not. I convince my wife to order one and she loved loved loved it! My "hi test" cappuccino was spectacular, smooth and perfect! Honestly, It took me back to Roma where we had aour honeymoon 22 years ago! Bella! Artis Coffee was okay…read more I had an Ube Latte, 12 oz, iced, with matcha and oat milk ($8.50 plus $2 tip) and it was good. Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.

Baristas explained that they are up for trying different and sometimes unusual combinations for their customers. I wasn't adventurous this time, but it made me want to explore in the future. Decorations and layout gave a friendly, welcoming environment. Not only were the benches and padded chairs comfy, the ambiance was kept even in the bathroom. Spacious, warm lighting, cute bathroom with a great mirror and cool sink.
