We did a Golf cart tour today with 10 People. We had one large golf cart and a smaller golf cart. Alessia Biancucci was our guide. Daniel was our second driver. We all had ear pieces so we could all hear her while we were driving no matter which cart we were sitting in. They Both were Fabulous! We were able to request our tour to fit our wants. She showed us outstanding places we didn't even know we needed to see. She had the greatest photo shots for the city. She was funny. They allowed for a stop for Ice coffee, so yummy and gelato. It was very hot out today and the golf cart allowed us to beat the heat and cover more ground than we ever would have otherwise. Would do this again in a heartbeat and would Highly recommend them. All 10 of our family members were very happy!

Forget trying to save a few bucks and try to negotiate Metro or the Roma bus system on your own to see the most important sights of Rome. The Metro is efficient and a relatively cheap option to get around but littered with clever pickpockets in sheep's clothing. I know...we were hustled into a tight elevator on the Termini Level A by two young attractive, seemingly harmless teens who tried picking my wallet. Instead, do yourself a huge favor and splurge on a safe, fun, pick you up at your hotel open air 3 hour golf cart with My Best Tour. After spinning our wheels trying to negotiate Rome on our own for 3 days, we got online, paid for a golf cart tour with My Best Tour and was picked up outside our hotel entrance by a delightful, welcoming and personable Marta. Marta streamlined our itinerary that morning and deftly negotiated side streets like a true local avoiding congested mainlines and maximizing our tour time period. As it turned out, it began to pour during the second half of our tour and we remained dry and comfortable with see thru protective canvas awnings dropped down. We were able to get out and see the Pantheon, the Forum and anywhere we wanted during this fully customizable experience. My only regret is I wish we had known about Marta and My Best Tour earlier. This was certainly our most memorable and pleasurable experience while in Rome!

What a responsive company that offers personalized and private tours of Rome and the area. They had a private car pick us up and take us to our hotel. We were met a little while later by a golf cart that had a wheelchair in the back for my daughter. It was the two if us and the guide. In 3 hours she showed us everything, got us up close and told us history, stories and legends of Rome. They made us a reservation at the most amazing local Italian restaurant by their office for lunch. Following that they provided a wheelchair and private guide for a Vatican and St Peter's Basilica tour. The owner of the company did the Basilica portion, he was baptized there, worked there as a "kid" and knew so much. It was an amazing day. If you need assistance they are awesome, even if you don't this us the way to go. They have larger golf carts for up to 6. Easiest and most efficient way to see Rome.

Wow, I think our tour guide Valerio was a Nascar pro in a previous life. He was able to navigate through all the confusion of the narrow streets of Rome with finesse. Seriously though, he was the best guide we had during our travels throughout all of Italy, Spain, and France. He was fantastic at getting my young kids engaged in the history and sights of Rome. Mind you, we had poorly planned this tour straight from coming off of a red eye flight from the United States, but Valerio was able to keep all of us awake and entertained. He is very knowledgeable not only of the history of the most well known sites but answered all of our questions concerning the people and culture. He even made an extra stop to a baby store as we had forgotten to bring a stroller. Oh and he offered to take pictures for us and took great shots. I only wish we planned another tour with him at the end of our trip to hit all the popular cuisine of Rome. (We did do a separate food tour with another company but knowing what I know now, I would request Valerio again. ) Gratzie Valerio for an amazing first day in Rome!! In his own words, "this wasn't his first rodeo" ha ha! We could definitely tell as he has become a pro at what he does.

What a phenomenal experience we had! This company's golf cart tours are total game changers! We are traveling with my elderly, disabled mom and between the hills, steps, cobblestone streets and all the other variables, there was no way we could give her a comfortable, immersive tourist experience in Rome without these guys! We took two tours - one 4 hour tour in the morning with Ralph and the other 2 hour sunset tour with Marco. Both were excellent guides and they gave us an amazing way to really connect with the city and it's majestic sites. We were able to scoot down narrow alleys and get incredibly close to monuments. We saw every neighborhood and landmark, and even though it was nearly 90 degrees out, we barely broke a sweat. The service and accommodation from this company was more than I could have hoped for -- even in the months leading up to the trip (I had so many questions as you could imagine when trying to plan an adventure for your wheelchair-bound mom!). I should also admit that although this chariot was booked for my mom's benefit, I think I loved it the most. These guys literally took over for the hours we were with them. They knew just where to take us and I could just enjoy the ride. I hear people complain about Rome being a hectic, exhausting city, but I swear if they explored it on a golf cart with these guys, they would have the most relaxing, wonderful experience. The only negative thing I could say is that I wish MyBestTours were available in other cities we are traveling to! We are spoiled for life!

I can't praise this tour company enough. They totally made our trip to Rome wonderful and easy. They picked us up at the airport and took us on a golf cart tour. We were exhausted from the trip but it was too early to check into our hotel. Our guide Sylvia showed us some of the highlights of Rome and was very friendly and considerate. We didn't have to walk around just relax and sightsee. The next morning after some much needed sleep we were taken to the colosseum by Rafael. Even with my disabled brother in law he got us through the lines and crowds with ease. He was so informative and we felt like he was a friend showing us around. In the afternoon our Guide was Laura. She took us to the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St Peters square again being so kind and considerate to all of us and my brother in law. I highly recommend this company and the individualized tours. It felt like they took us by the hand and guided our way through Rome which is exactly what we needed!

Amazing tour from start to finish. Andrea picked us up from our apartment in stretch golf cart to accommodate our family of 5. We had a phenomenal experience checking out all the beautiful sites of Rome. He gave us a private tour of the Colosseum as well as the Roman Forum. He was very knowledgeable about all things Rome as well as the history. We are all very pleased with the tour!

What a great experience. There really can be no better way to see Rome. Silvia was a pro. And really fun. Do this. Then come back to delve deep into those things you want to really explore on your own. We did the 6 person tour for 6 hours!

My wife and I did the half day tour of Rome on a golf cart. Our tour guide Lorenzo was amazing! He picked us up from our rented apartment and took us everywhere we wanted to go and even surprised us with some hidden gems including a few beautiful churches that we never knew existed until Lorenzo showed them to us. This tour was more relaxing than we could have hoped for, but also packed full of awesomeness. We got to visit: The Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, along with many more spots that Lorenzo recommended. Lorenzo finished our tour at a beautiful park above the Spanish Steps that overlooked all of Rome. The view was priceless! Lorenzo took a picture of my wife and I that is definitely our favorite picture of all time! He is a great guide. After the tour he wrote down some of his favorite spots to eat, and a few places he thought we should visit before we left Rome. All of his recommendations were spot on. Thank you so much Lorenzo for showing us around and helping us make memories that we will never forget.

Plus the golf cart was just fun whipping down random cobblestone streets and through crowds of people.

He was personable, clear in his explanations, and attentive to our needs throughout the tour. What made it especially memorable was how he connected with our kids--getting them excited about gelato was a fun touch that they still talk about! The golf cart was a lifesaver, making it easy to visit several sites that would have been impossible to reach with a 5-year-old and 2-year-old in tow. We even opted for the cart to pick us up from the hotel so it was seamless from beginning to end. The car seat for our youngest was clutch. Actually the ride was so soothing that our 2 year old fell asleep for part of the trip. Chris also introduced us to the Roman Orange Garden, a peaceful spot we'd never have found on our own. While many sites in Rome are walkable, this tour gave us the freedom to explore comfortably as a family, and we truly appreciated the balance of convenience and insight. If you are someone who love to do all the research ahead of time, then maybe this tour is too surface level for you. I would recommend a more targeted tour for the Coliseum or Vatican City. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend LivTours--and especially Chris--for families looking for an stress-free way to experience Rome.

(Night Time Vatican Tour)…read more We really enjoyed the Vatican, but felt like our guide was rushing us while we were walking through. But the Vatican is big, so we assumed she wanted to show us other portions of the grounds. Our tour was supposed to go until 8 PM, but she ended things at 7 PM. She said we could walk back into the last wing of the museum to see things on our own but security would not allow us to walk back in. We spent seconds / maybe minutes, looking at whole sections of art. She left almost no time to stand and look at things, everything was "ok let's keep going". Although we still enjoyed things, we definitely left extremely disappointed given the cost of the experience. (We paid 318€ for two people to tour - 60€ was the cost of the tickets, so 258€ was the cost of the tour guide.

My mother-in-law is elderly and getting around with her took more time than expected. Still, we arrived at the staging area and the staff was still very pleasant and accommodating. You can tell they were getting us to hurry because they know the area would be overrun with other tour groups. They really wanted us to have the best time and experience there. And they sat us in a very good spot for the Wednesday audience with the Pope. I would definitely recommend this company.

He is definitely highly recommended. He is an archaeologist as well so he had a lot of fascinating things to share with us. We actually ran into him on three separate occasions in Rome by chance and he was great to talk to each time. The Colosseum tour we took also included the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (both even more fascinating than the Colosseum in my opinion). The Vatican tour was with Claudia and she was equally as knowledgeable and fun! She obviously knew the folks she needed to to get around in this massive complex without having to wait for anything. The "no-line" entry most tours get has lines here. She had the hookup to get us even past those lines. The tour starts through the Vatican Museum and it was very crowded at the time we were there. She fought to make room for us to get in front of the masses to get a close look at all the things she wanted us to see. It was great to see her genuinely care about our experience. Just about every other tour group we saw in this places had at least 30 people in them. Both tours we took with Real Rome Tours had less than 10. We all had an equal opportunity to experience these beautiful sights with great knowledgable folks who even stuck around to answer any questions we had. They also give great recommendations on restaurants and other places you need to see while in Rome. Gerard was also a pleasure dealing with while booking our tours. He is well organized and gave us a great alternative when we wanted to do the Colosseum Underground tour that wasn't available. It worked out perfectly for us. I couldn't recommend Real Rome Tours any more.
