Walked in on a Saturday at noon and saw no one in the shop. I made myself known, thinking someone would come out, but no one did. I called the number thinking someone might pick up and I could let them know I was there, but the phone was sitting on a table and just rang. I decided to wait, thinking maybe the barber ran out for something and would be right back. In looking around, the place was really dirty, with hair and strips all around the 2 chairs. I left after waiting for 10 minutes. Very strange experience. Will not return. read more

The owner and the other barber were welcoming ad friendly. However the floor of the small salon was littered with with a lot of hair cuttings and strips of paper. It was not a pleasant experience to walk on strangers hair. It would have been easy enough to keep the floor tidy. After I left the barbershop and went to my car, looked in the rear view mirror and realize that a piece of my left eye brow was hacked off. Considering the unsanitary condition of the place and the lack of skill of the barber, I doubt I will patronive this shop again. read more

I never do this but had to this time. Been 2weeks and still bothering me, I went in to ask how much for a cut and a beard trim ? he told me . I explained my brother is older and blind and he said he has a girl working the next day, I said no he would like a man to cut it ya know old school man . Yesterday I ended up in this shoppe, and I'm sure glad I did. Long story short: The owner is a super nice guy who's great at cutting hair and he and his wife just had a baby, so he's currently living on cloud 9 while working to support them. Long story not short: I have a wedding to attend tomorrow so I had planned on getting a haircut yesterday, so when I got out of work I drove to my normal barber but low and behold, he was closed. Alas, I took to Google and Yelp to find another local Barber to go to that hopefully wouldn't mess up what I've been trying to do with my hair. I walked in and had a seat. One customer was being helped and another was waiting ahead of me. A few mins into sitting there the barber/owner (who he introduced himself as Mike - I think!) asked what I was looking to get done. Being female and the fact that I seem to have long hair (when looking at me from the front), he was concerned I was looking for something that he hadn't ever done before. I told him I had faith he'd do just fine and continued to wait my turn. My time to sit in the chair came not long after, and my hair is basically a wedge but the sides have an undercut, and the back is shaved up to the top like a typical men's haircut... From the front it looks like a bob I suppose, and that was Mike's concern. Really tho, I sat down, we got my long hair tied up and he went to town underneath.... I even had him take up the sides a small bit higher than they were. He faded the sides and back exactly like I requested and the cut was finished off with a straight blade and hot shaving foam to the back of my neck to clear up the fuzzies and edges. When I asked what the damage was I was a bit taken back by how little he asked for. Naturally, I gave him the same higher amount my normal barber asked for plus my standard tip which worked out well for him. Every bit helps when there's a newborn at home that's for sure. I anticipate I'll be back. It's even closer to home than who I had been seeing and I couldn't be happier with the results. Forgive the photos I've posted. I moved to the area recently and was upset that I had to find a new barber. I was using my previous barber since middle school (I am now 31).. I am so lucky to have found this place. Mike is a true professional and a great conversationist. By my second visit with Mike I couldn't even remember my old barbers name anymore.. he is that darn good! I used to not enjoy getting haircuts but I look forward to them now that's how great of a job Mike does. I don't feel like I am at a barber shop, I feel like I am a friends house...he makes the experience very relaxing and laid back. Mike is a real down to earth, funny, good guy. Highly recommended.
