This may be my first 1 star review. I worked with this group very briefly, and I am shocked by the severe lack of professionalism that I experienced within a very short time frame. I called Pasha Vafaei, the attorney, to request additional documentation after I chose to drop and end my case. Pasha was immediately defensive when I explained why I dropped the case, called me "sensitive" and "entitled", and continued to berate me for about 3 minutes over the phone until I had to hang up on him. Aside from the very unprofessional and disrespectful phone call, the group's communication is also poor. I did not receive updates on my case nor was I informed of next steps. When I called to check in, Carla couldn't even locate me in the system. I repeatedly told them I was available after 3pm, yet they'd call at 9am or 1pm, never leaving a voicemail. When I returned the calls and left voicemails, they simply wouldn't respond. The only way I ever got a reply was by messaging them on Instagram; yes, Instagram. Today at 11:55 a.m. I received a call and for some reason it didn't show the name of the person calling me like it usually does. it will say MVP trial lawyers. So I picked up the phone and a man says hello and says his name which I didn't fully hear and it wasn't a name I recognized he said my name and said he is my attorney. He then asked me for some type of confirmation I don't remember what it was maybe it was my birthday but I was confused because he didn't say what law firm and I told him "attorney for what?" he then became very enraged and said "what do you mean attorney for what? how many attorneys do you have? you sign the retainer don't you remember? you don't want money?" and at this point I was already suspicious he was a scam caller so I hung up he then immediately called back and began cussing at me. name calling me. saying "you don't want the $5,500 I got for you you jackass" I told him I didn't want to confirm nothing because he didn't say what firm he was from and I believed he is a scamcaller. And I told him "if he is real what is with the attitude and foul language?" he continued berating me insulting me swearing at me and said he was going to "beat the shit out of me" and he "knows where I live" and he told me "I got your ID right here in front of me" and he proceeded to say my birthday. from there on out I truly believed this guy was a scammer. I started laughing and saying "I am right you are a scammer because no professional lawyer or firm would act like this with a client" he continued to swear and say childish insults. then at the end he said the law firm he is from and I told him "let me speak to your supervisor" and "is this the way you treat your clients?" and he said " i am the owner dumbass" and that he's going to drop me as a client and hang up. My brother couldn't believe what he heard because I put it on speaker phone because I thought it was a scammer. About 45 minutes go by and I get another phone call this time from a different number I also did not recognize. But I picked it up and it was a woman. the first thing she said was she is from the law firm of MVP trial lawyers and she said her name. She said they told her to call me regarding a settlement for my case. I told her if she receive my email I sent asking about the threatening harassing phone call I received and if it was in fact an employee or was it a scammer? She said someone did call me earlier and I think she said the name was posh but I believe she was saying Pasha. I told her what happened and she was very horrified and shocked and apologize vehemently. I told her "does he work for you?" and she said yes. I told her "is he really the owner?" and she said "unfortunately yes" she also said "I am very sorry he is just like that that's just how he is" I continued giving out my grievances and my concerns she continued apologizing. I told her I feel sorry that is her boss she has to put up with that she started laughing saying thank you. "but I am so sorry that's just how he is" and she said he was out for lunch and that he is my attorney seeing a employment case and there's another attorney that is seeing my workers comp case. I've never had an issue with anyone here before this was the first time that this happened and all because I just questioned who he is. none of the other attorneys. legal aids. assistance. Or anyone that calls me from that law firm acts that way and they always say who they are and where they are calling from they don't just call me saying their name claiming to be my attorney asking for information. That is just insane that if this guy is the actual owner is crazy and unbelievably unprofessional I understand if some people get mad and start swearing but when you start threatening to hurt people show up to their place and in some form of intimidation or power move say you have my ID on the table right in front of you that is insinuating you know where I live and then you proceed to tell me my date of birth is just crazy. Saying they are fighting for people and workers who are subject to this and the so-called owner is doing this himself to his own employees and to his clients. Must feel like a real big tough man over the phone taking like this.
