David Jafari of Jafari Law Group has been one of the most professional and caring attorneys I have ever worked with. Jafari Law Group was recommended to me by a close friend in the early part of 2019. It is important to note that my case had nothing to do with intellectual property, and I was not looking to receive a patent or a trademark, etc. My issue was a simple dispute with an old employee who was withholding some of my pay, and refusing to release my license, which was devastating as it barred me from securing similar employment elsewhere. My personal experience in the past has been that if a lawyer did not specialize in what I've needed, they have simply refused to work with me or take me on as a client. This was not the case with Mr. Jafari. He was warm and welcoming the first time I met him at his office in Irvine, he listened attentively, asked the right questions, and in the end and somewhat to my surprise, he took my case. I have been a customer and used their services. I have no intentions of defamation here. I only recommend that if you are new to the patent arena that you shop around. In my opinion, the communication between this business and me was not at the level of clarity respective to my investment and resulted in a loss of future opportunity. Granted, had I had more experience with patents on my own I would have been able to fill in the blanks properly and avoid my loss. Attempting to make it clear, I don't believe they intentionally created my loss, in fact they could be counted for trying to help. However, they were being used for their expertise and the lack of clear communication resulted in my loss. I'm pretty bummed. So for me, my marks are not reflective of lack of integrity but on communication in both conveying and understanding my design, and in normal patent and business practices. Waste of time calling this place. I read the reviews and unfortunately the reviews do not match with the service I received . I called 5 times and every time I spoke to the front desk she kept saying she would "transfer" me over to someone that can help me , once I would get "transferred " someone picked up but would stay quiet . I called again and thought maybe it was the connection after the 4th time I got sent to voicemail. Called back one last time and front desk lady asked what was it that I needed. I let her know what my concerns where and she proceeded to transfer me again. At that point a man answered and seemed very upset and I voiced to him that I needed help and if they didn't have them time to help me all they had to do was say that. People go to them for help and they genuinely don't care. I can definitely take my service elsewhere if that's what they want. (Which by the way I did) . After voicing my concerns to this man , he disregarded everything. He then said "well what can I do for you" with an attitude.
