Volodymyr at MVI appliance is a life-saver - more accurately, a refrigerator-saver. Working through Fidelity Home Warranty, he came out to evaluate why both the freezer and refrigerator were not cooling. Long story short, he cleaned the coils underneath where I was unable to clean (separate charge) and fixed the long-broken icemaker. All was working perfectly again, but overnight, it stopped working. The small computer for the temperature dials died, and Volodymyr kept right on it, communicating with both Fidelity and me the entire time. He returned within hours with the correct part and now my 25 year old Whirlpool is working like new. I have every confidence in Volodymyr and his ability to repair appliances and will definitely call him again when the need arises. read more

We recently purchased a new home, and it came with a home warranty policy. When we discovered on a Monday evening that the dishwasher soap dispenser didn't work (surprise - it passed the home inspection for the purpose of the sale though!), we scheduled a service. We didn't know who would be assigned to come to our home. When Volodymyr Mazhnyy (owner/operator) called to schedule the service on Tuesday morning, he said he could be here on Tuesday afternoon. Great! When he came, we thought for sure he would not be able to fix the 25-year-old soap dispenser. He went out to his well-equipped work van, and within several minutes he was back with just the part he needed to fix that little door, and fix it he did. Amazingly, after putting the dishwasher door back together, he also helped me to find a user manual for the dishwasher - that was no easy task, either. He searched on his phone while my husband and I also searched. In my view, he went above and beyond. I would use him in the future, and hope that any future service calls through my home warranty policy would be assigned to MVI as well. read more

I have had several dealings with Volodomyr from MVI appliance and almost all of them have been lacking. This last one was the straw that broke the camel's back. Our refrigerator was not cooling properly and the things in our freezer like ice cream were getting very soft. I started a home warranty claim and Vladimir was dispatched to our house. After inspecting the fridge he tried to tell me it was because we needed to defrost the fridge, which is what he told us last time he was out here when we told him our icemaker wasn't working, that never got fixed after looking at the fridge for a little while he determined that it needed a Freon charge. He told us that he had to get approval from Fidelity and that he would get back to us. Two weeks go by and nothing. Texted him and he told me to contact Fidelity, which I did and they confirmed that he got paid for his service without ever informing us that he does not do Freon charges and he never referred the case through Fidelity to another provider. If he had just told me "WE DON'T DO FREON, CALL FIDELITY" I would have done this 2 weeks ago as soon as he left. he dropped the ball and left us hanging, but he got paid! That's the thing, look at the other review below, when he doesnt know whats wrong with the fridge he says "it's Freon" and he passed the buck, he gets paid whether he is at the house 5 mins or 5 hours. This repair service was excellent!! I was assigned this company from Fidelity home warranty and we are 1.5 hours from Fresno. Our Thermador oven and hood were not operating properly. He called the same day, came out as scheduled and called 1 hour before he would get here to be sure we were home. He figured out the problem and had to order the parts. He returned promptly when the parts came in, calling again to set the appointment and when he was 1 hour out. He fixed both issues very quickly. We are very happy with his knowledge and ability to fix the issues!! read more

This service was terrible. The gentleman was not very knowledgeable at all. He initially just started tearing my dishwasher apart. I tried to tell him that the last time I had the same problem it was the pressure sensor, but each time he just dismissed me he continued to apart and kept looking for a leak. He never located the source of the leak. In the end he told me it was the control panel and water supply or something like that. He sent me an estimate the next day for a total of over $500 Which as most of us know we could buy a new dishwasher for $500. He charge me $95 diagnostics and $10 for a clamp for that initial diagnosis. The next week I called in a different company and low and behold it was the pressure sensor. I contacted this gentleman and told him I deserved a refund of the $95 since he missed diagnosed it. He stated he would mail me a check which he never did. I do not recommend this gentleman at all. He doesn't seem to have the knowledge to repair. read more

Recently bought a house and similar to what another person here on yelp said, the dishwasher passed inspection for sale of the house. We found MVI through Fidelity home warranty company. Oh my gosh!!! The owner came out to our house 6 TIMES trying to fix that one dishwasher!!!! First it was the pump, then the motherboard, then the screen where the numbers are (don't have a clue what the name is) and the list goes on. I asked him how many more times he has to come to the house before he let the company know he's unable to fix the dishwasher. He said " even if it's 4,5,6 or 7 times as long as they send me, I will come." He refuses to acknowledge the dishwasher is a piece of junk and need to be replaced!!! Instead, he happily comes out, tamper around with it, then tell the company he can fix it. We have asked so many times to have it replaced or give us the equivalent of what it would cost so we can purchase a new one. However, the company won't do it because he keeps giving them the idea it is fixable. Well today I told him that was very selfish of him and I'd rather do without a dishwasher than have him in my house another time, tampering around and wasting everyone's time. The only person benefiting from any of this is him and his company. How disgusting. I honestly wish I could give him zero star. read more

I would not recommend this company for smart appliances. Nice older guy but he did not really know what was wrong. He said it could be a couple of things even replacing the computer for the washer, which is almost as much as a new washer. I called SNL appliance repair for a second opinion and the guy Noy came out with a book plugged in codes and the washer started flashing codes back which he showed me in a book.
