I called to have a technician come to my house to repair my cooktop. I made arrangements for them to be at my house on Friday between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00. I took time off work to be there. I got a text at 1:00 that the technician was on his way and should be there by 1:30. At 2:15 I called to see where the technician was and nobody answered the business phone. I called probably six other times to find out where the technician was, I even text them. I never received a call, text, email or even smoke signals from them to let me know that he would not be able to come. I wasted half a day of wages, and I still do not have my cooktop fixed. At this point, I would rather load my cooktop in my truck, drive out of state to the manufacturer to have this fixed before giving this company one dime of my hard earned money. read more

This company was referred to me through my home warranty to fix my microwave above my stove. The service technician came out and couldn't get out fast enough. Atrocious customer service. Said I needed a capacitor and it would take two weeks to fix. I called their office and asked for an update. They did not have any information from their tech and said they would call back later. After I didn't receive a call, I called next day to follow up, they screened my calls till I called from another number,then told me they could not fix it because it takes two people to take down the microwave and they only have one person. I highly recommend Economical Appliance Repair. I first used Economical Appliance Repair when I was in desperate need of someone to fix my washing machine. I am a busy mom with small children and I depend on my washing machine to work properly. Frank responded to the call the next day and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. These guys aren't reliable, called them for parts that Samsung diagnosed on my refrigerator, parts I needed were evaporator, and temp module. The lady insisted I need Frank to come out to diagnose the issue, explained to her that Samsung has already diagnosed the issue just need parts and labor. I was even willing to have them come in and diagnose the issue but at least give me an estimate on those parts, she said she will talk to Frank and get back to me a week later still nothing, this is what happens when u give local businesses a chance they treat you like crap. read more

The dispatcher was rude. Unhelpful. The technician was supposed to arrive between 8-12 and wasnt there until past 12:30:why is it ok to waste my entire day... they can't dispatch a different tech?? He arrived to diagnose my problem at my convenience and was able to text me when he was on his way. The charge for the initial visit went towards the replacement part and labor. He is courteous, polite and very hard working. He is knowledgeable and able to repair all household appliances from dishwashers to stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers,... Our oven stopped heating up on Wednesday evening. I called on Thursday to make an appointment, and was able to snag one for the next day. Frank arrived close to the estimated time even though we live up in the hills. He was very friendly and quickly figured out what was wrong with the oven. I called just before "office hours," he contacted me within the hour and was onsite less than an hour after that. He had my washing machine up and running before he left (the replacement pump was in the van!) and he cleaned out the drier vent while he was here. He was courteous, respectful of my sleeping tween (it's summer after all), and cleaned up after himself. I'm not sure what else I could have asked for in an onsite service technician. We came across this company via our home warranty insurance company name CHOICE home warranty. Frank Quintana came & made the diagnosis. We paid him his $65 service fee and he said the insurance company will take at least 2 weeks to approve and get the parts. The very next day the CHOICE home warranty which is a TOTAL FRAUD denied our claim. We were left with no Refrigerator for 5 days. I called Frank's wife, and I asked them to help us. I asked for pricing, and they provide us with a fair price of total Parts and labor under $300. (He applied the $65 service fee as a credit to our project later on), they jumped on this project and Frank came to our house the very next day and brought the brand-new control board and made the repair and we had an up and running refrigerator same day. Anyone who gave Frank poor review are the ones via home warranty insurance companies which he has no control over their behavior. Stay away home warranty companies and go to Frank directly. He is the one you can depend on. His wife is a very nice and professional office manager, and she will be there to help you. I strongly recommend Frank for appliance repairs. read more

The communication from this business is a joke. In December 2021, a Economical Appliance Repair (EAR) tech diagnosed my broken dishwasher in response to a home warranty claim. He said he needed to order the part and it would take 2-3 weeks for it to come in. By the beginning of February, about 6 weeks later, I hadn't heard from them, so I called. The lady on the phone said she would check with the technician and get back to me. She never did. A few weeks later, on Tues., Feb. 15 I called again to find out the status of the part. She asked the Technician who told her the part would be in on Wednesday (the next day), and she told me they would get ahold of me to schedule finishing the repair. Didn't hear back and so I called again on Friday and left a voicemail message. Again no return call. About a week later tried calling again and left a voicemail message. I also sent a text message. Again, no reply to either my voicemail message or my text message. Finally, I called the home warranty company, Fidelity, to explain the situation and see if they could get a response out of EAR. Surprisingly, Fidelity said that in order for them to authorize the repair, they needed a report from EAR, and had never received one. So Fidelity agreed to follow up with EAR and within the week my dishwasher was finally fixed. EAR blamed the delay on "supply chain issues". If that's all it was, I would not have had any issues. The 2 stars, however, is for a complete lack of communication and follow through. read more

I phoned in on Tuesday 11/30/2021-a guy came out and diagnosed the issue in 5 minutes. He said he needed to order part (s). A woman called me on the day they were supposed to come out to make repair, (Monday 12/20/2021) leaving a voicemail stating that the part was not in and they would be out on Friday. No Friday date was left on the voicemail, I was left to assume the upcoming Friday, which would have been Friday 12/24/2021. 12/24 came and went- no call. I called several times, no answer-I left several voicemails, no return call. I decided to call on that Monday, 12/27 from different number, the woman answered. I explained that I had been waiting for parts for a month and I hadn't heard from them. It took the woman a minute to gather herself after my telephone call catching her off guard. (avoiding my calls). Once she gathered herself, she replied, "I meant that someone would be out on January 10th" which was not even a Friday! Review my timeline. That is a long time! Here is my frustration, if the part wasn't in, she could have said just that the part was still not in and I could have decided to wait or go elsewhere.
