Hal to the rescue! I turned my dryer on and it was making a real racket. I called Hal and he was quick to diagnose what he thought was the problem, and set a time to come out a couple of days later. He arrived during the time slot and got straight to work, checking each of the dryer components as he went along to make sure everything was working. He made sure everything was in good condition, and confirmed that the idler arm pulley was worn down. He showed me the difference between the old one and the new one he'd brought - I'm surprised it was still running. Just like last time we called Hal, he was very knowledgeable and professional, checked all the parts of the machine and triple-checked his work before he put everything back together again. Hal's Appliance Repair is a really good company and we had a great experience with Hal, the owner, who came to our house to fix our washing machine. He is an experienced repair man that diagnosed the problem quickly, gave us a quote for parts and labor and when we accepted began work to fix it. The washer now works great and it was fixed for a fair price. We have a small dog and were so pleased with how Hal made sure that he kept an eye out for the dog especially as he worked and went in and out of our front door. That was really special to us. I am so thankful I called Hal's Appliance. My 6 year old Whirlpool washer stopped working and I needed Hal to come out to take a look. I called and left a voicemail for Hal regarding my washing machine. He called me right back and advised me he could come the next day between 9 and 11 in the morning and his service call cost was $68 to access the problem and if he was hired to fix the problem, the $68 would be rolled into the repair cost. He called the next day and said he would be here at approx 9 AM. When he arrived and accessed my problem, he determined that the problem was catastrophic and would cost too much to repair. He took the time to explain the problem, the best options to replace the old washing machine and what to watch out for. While he was there, he also advised regarding maintenance of other appliances in the house in order to avoid other problems. Even though he could not repair my washer, he was honest and spent some time that he didn't have to in order to help me to lessen possible problems in the future. We have a 10-yr old GE Profile dishwasher that has never had a problem but we noticed the glassware was not getting clean and leaving spots. Called Hal who came out and gave it a good cleaning. Who knew you need to clean a dishwasher? Hal took the innards apart and is was amazing what he found. Pieces of plastic, a screw, pieces of paper and bit of "goo".
