I needed an inspection sticker for my new car, the Lodi branch is temporary closed so I drove to Paramus location before any of the malls and shops open to avoid the traffic. There was just one car ahead of me and because the car was new, I didn't need any real inspection at the main building they just told me to go to the side hut and I got my sicker that is good for five years It was less than 10 minutes total. read more

Poorly run today. My line isn't moving. All the others moved about 5 cars up. It is obviously unfair that they portion people out in lines so far back you should get divvied out into the first open hole so that you don't get stuck waiting an extra 20 minutes in one line because the inspector in that line is slow slower read more

Long lines but they move quickly. They seem organized but this whole nj inspection process is annoying in general read more

Very well organized! Like an idiot I waited to the last day of the month to get my vehicle inspected and the line was backed up all the way down Century Road for a mile or so. Still, they manged to get me out in 30 minutes flat due to a great system! Compare that to the dumpster fire that the Wayne NJ facility is..... read more

We went to the Paramus Vehicle Inspection Station last week. This was our first time here and I think this will be where we go from now on. The line went quickly and the technician who inspected our car was so friendly and nice. Exceeded expectations as I thought we would be waiting for a while. Pleasantly surprised how efficient and quick it all was here... Recommended! read more

Had not inspected a vehicle in years and was pleasantly surprised to pop in with no appointment on a weekday with no wait times! Had two cars inspected in less than an hour. Quick service, friendly staff-would definitely return again and again. read more

I had to bring cars on two separate occasions and I'm so impressed how efficient they are. I was out within 10 minutes. The staff is very professional and friendly even though it can be super overwhelming. read more

I had to give a 5 star review, because of how fast I was in and out. If anyone has been driving as long as I have (or longer) knows the DMV and Inspection Stations are an all day event and can be a nightmare. Boyyyy have things changed! I came in on a Saturday late morning, an hour and half before they closed, and I was in and out within 15 minutes! Yes, FIFTEEN MINUTES!!! What a world of a difference from many years ago. Plus, the attendant I had was very quick and thorough. What more can you ask for?!?! read more

Such a vast difference and MUCH, MUCH easier experience than the NY vehicle inspection process. I had to get a vehicle inspection for the 1st time in NJ and wasn't sure what to expect when I visited the Paramus Vehicle Inspection Station, but it exceeded my expectations by a mile. Since my vehicle was relatively new (less than 5 years old), I didn't have to go through the typical inspection process, but instead just drive my car up to the "Manager's Office" and got my new NJ inspection sticker added to my windshield. As to how the process went....I decided to go get my new inspection sticker on a Wednesday (no appointment required) and rolled in at around 1pm. There were barely any cars there to get an inspection. I searched for the "Manager's Office" and, unbeknownst to me, it was actually just a little car port with a booth to drive up to (hence my quotes). Luckily, I was able to track down an employee who was just walking away from the booth and he provided me instructions to drive my car up to the booth. Within 2-3 minutes, I was done! I literally backed my car up into the car port, handed my new registration over to the employee and he scrapped off my NY inspection sticker and stuck my new NJ inspection sticker on. That's it! Free of charge! It was THAT easy! Of course, if I needed an actual inspection, the process might have been a bit longer, but from the looks of past reviews, it seems like it is just as smooth of a process. And mind you, the employee was friendly and informative of when I needed to get an inspection again. Simply put, this was probably the best "inspection" I ever had and I'm hoping future inspections will be just as...well...simple! read more

I was in & out of here within 15 minutes unlike the DMV by me in Wayne. The service techs were really nice.

Great MVC location, IMO it's better than the one in Wayne, it's quick, efficient and not too much of a hassle, definitely recommend..

People at this inspection center are amazing fast convenient never have to wait. I've been going there for years.

I was in and out quickly. I went at the end of the day. No problems. Fast service. Easy to get to off of route 17.

This has to be the fastest Motor vehicle inspection I've ever had. When I went to the DMV this week they told me that I could have my car inspected for free at any of the official MVC sites. I was wary of going to anywhere free because I thought the wait would be long. But it was just the opposite. I was in and out in under 15 minutes. I can't speak to the thoroughness of the review but from a customer perspective, I was happy that I didn't have to wait and it was free. They had a person directing the line of moving cars. Once it was my turn, I exited the car and waited to the side briefly for a few minutes before they called me back. They had put the inspection sticker on my car and I was good to go :) read more

Fast efficient service. I went to Lodi MVC inspection yesterday, what a disaster that was. rude supervisor. The Paramus inspection station was recommended to me and I'm happy that I came. I will never go back to Lodi. This station is also closer to Teaneck. read more

There were about 15 cars ahead of me but since all the lanes were open I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The DMV workers were both very friendly and pleasant to work with. If you need to go to inspection I highly recommend you go to the Paramus DMV. read more

Before quarantine, you could be in and out within 15 minutes. Now, because of the backlog of inspections needed, once you get your ticket at the entry gate--if it's a full line of cars--it'll take a solid hour from when you get your ticket until you are done. The staff are nice and professional, so that's the same as before. The inspector in Lane 5 was great. Good luck! read more

Had to get my initial inspection sticker. I was driving around for 3 months without it, Who knew? Anyway went to the Paramus location. The one attend sent me to the wrong line, and this wonderful man moved to the new car line. I was out in 15 minutes. The gentleman who assisted me was hilarious. It was over 100 degrees that day. He was still pleasant, sarcastic which I love and just a great guy. Great experience. I'd like to thank them for their work, especially during the heat. read more

The process was smooth and quick. No long wait compared to previous visits. I love that I don't have to pay for this service.

Nobody likes going to the DMV. But if you only need to get an inspection, the location in Paramus is your best bet. It's kinda hidden just off Route 17 and they ONLY do inspections, which means that the line is not usually very long. I've gone midweek/month, and even end of month isn't so bad. I most recently went the day after Christmas and I only waited about 30 minutes in and out. But other visits I've come with no line or wait at all. read more

Very quick and super efficient. Whole thing took about 15 mins of course I went on a weekday afternoon.

Went to inspection station in Paramus on 1/16/23. Sat there for an hour before a worker showed up just before 9 am. I asked him if they were opening and he said not until 10 am. He said there was a delayed opening because of the storm. Now mind you there was barely an inch of snow on the ground. He then told me I should have checked the website. I actually did check the website while I was waiting online and it showed that the station was open. Now I have to lose another morning to go to inspection. read more

Two cars ahead of me. I was in and out in maybe 10 minutes. Everyone I dealt with was kind, competent, and pleasant. Thanks!

I just went to the inspection station and I was literally in and out in less than 10 minutes which was wonderful. BUT, the woman who is working there directing cars is the nastiest, rudest woman that I have ever encountered. She screamed at me because I didn't move up fast enough. They were not busy and I just wanted to make sure I had all of my documents ready so I am uncertain as to why I was screamed at for not moving faster. We are talking a split second delay here, not minutes. She was so rude I was truly in shock. I understand it must not be a fun job to work there, but the way I was spoken to was completely out of line and unacceptable. Another person standing there said everyone there was rude. I do not understand the need to be so nasty. read more

Had the most positive experience at this inspection station. The wait was a little under an hour, which is a miracle considering people normally expect 1.5 hour waits. When I got up to have my vehicle inspected, Will was an absolute pleasure and immediately struck up conversation and made the experience that much better. This man deserves a raise! Didn't even feel like a hassle and had a great conversation through the duration of my inspection. 10/10 would recommend to my friends! Thanks Will!! read more

By far the BEST inspection station NJ has to offer. Quick, and easy, no hassle process! I went Labor Day weekend (Saturday) at 11:30am. I know, I know, cutting it close to closing time, but I wasn't the only one. The employees at the Paramus inspection station worked quickly to make sure each person before and after me were checked out as soon as they could. They were friendly, helpful and QUICK. I waited no longer than 15 minutes for the entire process, and left with my brand new shiny inspection sticker! I was driving around for months without an a new car inspection sticker, and when I realized I was so nervous taking it in. No one asked any questions, and the Paramus location was so nice! Since my car was less than 5 years old, I didn't need the full inspection, so I just had to go to the new car section and hand over my registration. They didn't even ask to look at my insurance or license. Everyone was so nice, even when I wasn't sure where to go one of the staff patiently showed me the way! I couldn't have been there more than 10 minutes - I went around 7:30 on a Saturday morning. read more

I had to get a state inspection, we bought a car on Carvana and had to get it inspected. Went to the station, pulled up to the new vehicle inspection, waited for the manager to come out. He cane out, I gave him the green card that came with my registration and license plates and the registration. He put a new vehicle inspection sticker on and I was done. It literally took 7 minutes. Used this inspection site for the first time since moving to NJ. I went on a Saturday morning. There were about 10 cars ahead of me, so I expected to be there at least an hour. They then asked cars to line up behind the different stations, which put my car as first in line in my lane. I had everything ready for the worker, who was friendly enough and professional. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I will recommend them to all local NJ drivers. read more
